--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Olive: Olive searched her pockets for her phone. It was a small device, no larger than a credit card - and she often misplaced it due to its size. It did however have a loud ring to it, it signaling that she was getting a text as it screamed 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson and vibrated in her back pocket. She shifted on the stool and reached back to retrieve it, steadying herself with her other hand on the edge of the crafting bench. Checking the message and giving a nod even though the sender couldnt see it, she glanced to the corner of the bench. She had started a little pile of antique trinkets and things, some small, some a bit larger. She didnt want them to keep piling up if they could have been used, so she scrolled through her contacts and selected Cai, putting the phone to her ear as it started to ring.

Cai (Judas): Judas was lounging in the crypt, stretched across the ritual altar. His hands were laced together under his head and his feet dangled off of the other end. This place was so depressing. How could anyone stand to live here?? A frown crossed his face as he sorted through his mind. There were other places he could go but no. Best to stick with what was the norm, at least for now. Judas had already gone through the closet and had added his own style of dress to the existing articles of clothing.

Cai (Judas): Soft music began to play and Judas lifted his head to look around for the source. Cai's phone. He rolled off the altar and followed the tune, finally locating it under one of the numerous hydros that made their home in the dank crypt. Olive. Hmmm he'd never interacted with this one. Not yet at least. First time for everything though so he swiped his thumb over the surface to unlock the screen and brought the device to his ear. “Hello?”

Olive: His voice rang in her ear, and she didnt hesitate. "Hey Cai. I got plenty of antiques over here, if you wanted them for your rits? I already gave a bunch to Mora and Liz, so these are all yours if you want them." She smiled at just the mention of the two ladies in her life that she completely looked up to. Mora was her sire after all, but Liz, well, Liz had been there for her while Mora had gone missing. Where, she wasnt sure, no one was - but she was sure that she would never let Mora leave her like that ever again.

Olive: Then a thought crossed her mind as she looked over to a box against the far wall. It was empty. "Oh, you dont happen to have any Uzi's or hunting shotguns, do you? I ran out this morning." She informed, nudging the empty box with her toe. Usually she was brimming with stuff to make traps and such with, but lately she had been pouring cash towards her new childe - upwards of three hundred thousand to ballpark.

Cai (Judas): Antiques? Oh. Ritual supplies. Then it hit him who Olive was. Mora's childe, but not only that sometimes Cai gave her crafting pieces that he picked up while searching for chems he needed for his rituals. But she was waiting for an answer and he had to really concentrate on the speech pattern. “I would like that very much. And as for what you request let me check.” He held the small phone between his ear and his shoulder as he reached for the bag that was sitting off to the side. Inside were a few things Olive most likely could use, including the guns she mentioned. “I do indeed have some of those. Three to be precise, and they are yours if you have need of them.”

Olive: Olive blinked at Cai's response. It was Cai, there was no doubt in that, but it was like his voice was missing something. Not an accent, or any words or infliction... but more like.... fluidity. She looked around, as if he was standing right there and that was the joke - on her. But he wasnt around, and she was left staring at the pile of antiques again. "Okay... the usual place?" She asked, starting to gently place the antiques into a bag she had retrieved from the table. She brushed it off that he was just doing something else. Something else was preoccupying his time and mind, and she had just caught him multitasking.

Cai (Judas): Usual place.....Newborough. "Yes. Usual spot sounds good to me." He cringed a bit. Trying to pretend like nothing had changed was proving to be a challenge. Judas knew that he wouldn't be able to hold of the facade for a long time. By now he was pretty sure that people were beginning to suspect that something wasn't quite right with him. It would be a relief when it came out though. Then he could be himself and not have to worry about keeping up with pretenses. "I will meet you there?"

Olive: She nodded, though he couldnt see it, and set the last of the items in her bag before she smiled. "Okay!" She hung up then, setting her phone to the bench and standing up to stretch. She shifted her arms above her head and interlaced her fingers palms outward, popping and cracking as she let out the rest of the stale air in her lungs. Sometimes, while sitting at the bench immersed in her work, she would find herself holding her breath for all that time, hours on end. She idly wondered if she would ever need to breathe again, if of course she didnt need to talk. But she liked talking, sometimes, so she wouldnt ever find out.

Olive: Bending to tie her shoe before grabbing the bag up and her phone, she slung the bag over her shoulder and pocketed the small device before slipping into the fadeportal after waving to Liz and Shamus. "I'll be back later!" She yelled out over her shoulder, sure her words made it to their ears before the magic of the portal had her in a stall in the womans bathroom at the Newburough station.

Cai (Judas): He ended the call and ran his hands over the front of his suit smoothing out the non existant wrinkles in the fabric. A nervous habit he was starting to develop? Possibly. What did he have to be nervous about anyways? Besides Cai was the nervous Nelly, not him. So with that thought in mind he let the nerves roll of his back and gathered his bags.

Cai (Judas): He left the crypt and wandered through the rows of crypts that would lead him to the entrance. He could see the transit in the distance when he exited the graveyard and quickened his steps. Cai might like living surround by a bunch od dead people but he sure as hell didn't. The idea of staying in one of the other properties was starting to look more appealing by the second as he hopped the train, getting off at the Newborough station a few minutes later.

Olive: Olive slipped from the stall, then the bathroom, then the station alltogether. The cool night air hit her skin and made it tingle as she smiled and looked up at the stars. The stars, ever so beautiful in the night sky, as being out in the middle of nowhere did that to them, making them shine so bright they were like flashlights pointed right at her. She clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth and tightened her grip on her bag, lest someone get the fancy idea of jerking it from her unexpected grasp, as she admired the beauty of the unknown universe.

Cai (Judas): Stepping off of the train he took a few minutes to look the area over. There were a few humans moving back and forth, going about their nightly business all bundled up against the chill from the cool evening air. The cold didn’t bother him so much but he found him drawing his long black duster around him in a show of trying to stay warm just to blend in with the humans around him. Another glance and his gaze zeroed in on a shock of bright orange hair. Only one person he knew had hair that color and that was Olive. Tightening his grip on his back he set off in her direction.

Olive: She idly kicked at a rock, glancing down from the sky, then up and around. So many people, though still not as many as there would have been in a larger city, the people all moving about like they had some place important to be. And they probably did, but Olive didnt. She let her brown eyes follow the crowd as she searched for Cai, searched heads for that beanie that he wore. But her eyes stopped on the one person heading towards her, and she found she was tipping her head to the side. No cap, but it was Cai. Huh. "Heyyy. Lookin' good!" She said as he approached, and she smiled while pulling the bag down from her shoulder.

Cai (Judas): During the short walk over to Olive he gave himself a mental pep talk. Nothing to be nervous about. Just act normal, or as normal as you can. If she spots something off and decides to question it then just be honest about it. It's better than telling a lie. he had that much in common with Cai - he detested lying. He stopped just short of her, smiling a bit when she greeted him. "Olive. Tis a pleasure to see you once more." His hand reached up and touched his hair noting the absence of the confining hat that Cai adored so much. "I thought I would try something different..." Internally he cringed. Something different...really?

Olive: Olive was intrigued that Cai had agreed to go on the stroll with her. She would have gone alone, either way. But he had agreed, so she wouldnt be. Olive smiled brightly and turned on her heel, starting to head down the street and towards the river. She didnt mind the silence that was for a few moments there, not at all. She was in good company, company that her sire enjoyed as well. Olive raised her brows as she thought of something to ask Cai. "So you like making people forget you, huh?" She asked lightly, not trying to insinuate it was a bad thing. "I just dont understand those ritual things. Not one bit. I leave all that to you, Liz and Mora."

Cai (Judas): He followed Olive keeping step beside her easily. The silence between them wasn't uncomfortable and he felt himself relaxing a littel bit more. So far so good. It was a nice night for a stroll. At her question he chuckled a little sheepishly and ran a hand over his hair. "Yeah...about that. I'm sorry. The ritual doesn't let you choose who forgets you. If only you could choose...." He nodded. Rituals didn't interest everyone and that was of course fine. Everyone had their own strengths and interests. "I enjoy them. There's something relaxing and completely satisfying when you are successful."

Olive: Olive glanced over to him when he had mentioned about choosing exactly who forgets you. He nodded, and she looked back in front, every so often glancing down at the sidewalk and kicking a random rock that was in the path of their stroll only to watch it fly out across the sidewalk and most times land in the street. She put her free hand to the butt of her swords handle that was attached to her hip, giving her own nod and grin. "I can understand that. I myself like to get my hands dirty." She chuckled, waggling her fingertips before clasping her hand overtop of the swords handle. "I really do appreciate this stuff, man. It can get expensive on the auction and I just dumped a bunch of money on my newest childe."

Cai (Judas): "I prefer to use my rituals for that kind of stuff, but I'm comfortable with a gun if I need to be." He glanced to where her hand was resting on the handle of her sword. Judas would much rather use a blade than a gun but Cai had never learned the ways of the blade. Perhaps that could be something Judas could influence. It wouldn't hurt to try. "I don't mind helping people out. That stuff would have been sold off and I would honestly rather it go to someone that I know will put it to good use. If I find more I'll set it aside for you."

Olive: Gun. How impersonal. Olive snickered lightly and shook her head just a little, looking back over to Cai with a smirk. "Guns are so... hmm. There's just not the same thrill as pulling a measly trigger than there is with getting in the middle of a fight, hand to hand, slicing and dicing." She grinned, clearly just happy to be talking about it. She chuckled then and nodded. "Right, and I cant blame you for selling it if you do." She looked back up to the sky, strolling along as she kept the pace they had set at. "I'd greatly appreciate it. I can even pay you for it if you'd like."

Cai (Judas): He grinned a bit. "Yeah I can see your point. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this point. But maybe I can still learn how to use one of those." He pointed to the blade at her side. It would be interesting, that was certain. He'd probably make quite the fool of himself while learning. "I wouldn't. I'm a bit of a packrat. Poe keeps some of the more expensive things hidden away for me. And he's never far if I have need of something he's holding onto either." He shook his head. "No. I wouldn't take your money for things that I pick up from the ground or in buildings. "

Olive: She laughed. He was honest! She found she was liking that much about him. "Of course you can! Never say never." She joked, knowing full well the statement she had just said. She herself didnt say it ever, you just didnt know what the future could hold in her opinion. She looked at her blade too, the perfect weapon that was hand crafted with emeralds down the side of the sheath. It was a thing of beauty, and Mora had given it to her the day she had turned her. Olive would never get rid of it. "Dont say I didnt offer." She winked at him.

Cai (Judas): He decided that he would start to focus his training on blades. He had no interest in business and making traps wasn't something that he enjoyed. The only things he made were gadgets that would aid him in breaking and entering. Hacking bored him to tears as he just didn't have the patience to spend much time in front of a computer screen. This would be good for him. "I would never," he said rather seriously but there was a teasing grin on his face.

Olive: Raising a brow at his jestfullness, Olive couldnt help but think that Cai was intriguing her more and more. She felt at ease around him, comfortable and safe, the way she was walking along side him proving that. She had let her guard down, just as someone slid past her alongside the sidewalk. She felt his hand against her pocket, and she instinctively shoved at him. "Hey!" She yelled, pushing him back, glaring something deadly at him as her other hand danced along the handle of her blade. "Walk on, before I take that hand of yours." And the look in her eye told the guy she wasnt kidding as she stared him down and he decided it wasnt worth it. He turned and scurried away, and Olive gave a laugh before looking over at Cai and continuing on in their stroll.

Cai (Judas): He stopped walking when she yelled. People were stupid and Judas was nothing like Cai. A bleeding heart, kind to absolutely everyone. Cai hardly every lost his temper, never swore and rarely said anything bad about anyone. Judas hated thieves more than anything and as the man fled his eyes narrowed in concentration, debating if it was worth it to send a curse flying at him. In the end he didn't, as Olive had done a fine job with her threats. "He didn't get anything from you did he?"

Olive: "Nah, Im too quick for a measley pocket pick these days. Turning into this was far from a curse for me. Mora says its like I was meant to be what we are." She flashed him a bright white smile, rolling her shoulders a bit softly as her hands found their ways to her pockets and she maintained a lounge of a stroll. "How'd it happen for you?" She asked rather bluntly, not disguising the question at all in case his experience had been any different.

Cai (Judas): He panicked for a brief second. It had been almost 3 years sinc Cai had been turned and the memories were buried a little deeper, but he found them. "I was walking in Thornside Park on my way to meet a friend after a late class. I saw this blonde woman wandering around - naked, wounded to all hell. I went to ask her if she needed help and well that was how I met one Bella Dupree. She was coming out of the shadow realm, having been sent there by some hunters I think?" He shrugged, that bit was unknown to him and he only had guesses as to why she had been killed. "She made me what I am that night."

Olive: His hesitation had her looking over at him, studying him. What was his deal? She could start the story off the back of her hand about how her turning happened. Stupid guy at the gas station. Junkie, probably. But he hesitated... was it horrific? Like how Mora was turned? She studied him though, until he started talking. And then it wasnt horrific, at all. Hell. There was even nudity in his story! Olive furrowed her brows for a second, trying to figure him out. Nodding, she smiled at him. "That sounds like fun. Haha."

Cai (Judas): "It was interesting to be sure." It was easier to sort through the memories that Cai had of his sire now that he'd gone back to the beginning. "Bella is an elder. She struggles with this time period and keeps mostly to herself, but if I need her I know I can contact her." He smiled faintly. His sire was a sweet, old fashioned Southern belle. She still held firm to the values that she was raised with and she tried her best to impart them on him. "She's very...old fashioned. Like she told me once that Dupree men aren't to be alone in public with a female they aren't courting. Courting. I didn't even know that term was used anymore."

Olive: An Elder. Like Liz, Bella was old. She wasnt sure how old, but the Elders were indeed, old. She silently wondered what it was like to be so old. To have lived for so long, and to have gone through so much. It was a fleeting thought, and she nodded lightly to Cai to show him she was listening as he went on. She liked that he was being so talkative. She wasnt sure it was like him, to be so forthcoming with such information and so much of it, but she didnt really care if it was or not. She liked it. So she would encourage it. She laughed. Pointing a finger to him, then her, then shaking her head. She put her hand on his shoulder with another light laugh. "Hate to tell ya this, but you really arent my type." She grinned, dropping her hand back to her sword.

Cai (Judas): He started laughing. "Well I am sure that it would please Bella but I don't know if she would approve regardless. I had this one girl who very insistently tried to get in my pants. It made Bella angry because everywhere I went this girl followed. She teleported her into the wilderness. And gave me a thorough lecture." That was when his sire was around quite often. Now he didn't think she left her apartment. Sometimes she'd appear in the crypt using the tome he had given her, and she always went out of her way to speak to him and Tate. But she was bound now and probably spent her nights with her husband.

Olive: His laugh was hearty, and she grinned at it. She didnt get out very often, or talk to very many people, so it was nice to have him in her company. Regardless of what it looked like to anyone else. She looked around, not really seeing anyone else keeping their attention on them, then looked back at Cai. "Well, then its a good thing I'm not looking to impress her." She laughed again, giving him an honest shrug before tipping her head to the side. "And a good thing I have a tome too, I guess." She joked. As if it would matter either way, she would probably have fun out there with the creatures that had once severed her hand that had grown back.

Cai (Judas): "I don't see her often anymore. I just smile and nod if she would happen to start with how things should be." Cai bent over backwards for Bella, he adored her and sorting through his memories Judas could see why. Bella was a sweet woman who only wanted the best for "her sweet boy" as she called him. Yuck. Too much sweetness was bound to give him a sugar high. "So how did you meet Mora?"

Olive laughed. "I invented the nod and smile. Queen of it." She chuckled, shaking her head a bit before moving to cross her arms over her chest in the stroll along the concreted sidewalk. She let her eyes wander as she listened, smiling a bit as the memory of her turning night flooded her mind. So he did want to know after all, and she was more than willing to tell him how it all went down. "Ha. Funny story." She muttered, looking over at him with a sly smirk. Mora had shown her the true definition of selflessness that night, and she could never forget that. The gift she was bestowed that night would forever be in her veins, coursing through her and giving her life beyond death.

"I stopped in to that gas station over by cherrydale station one night after an underground rap battle. Bought a pack of smokes and a candy bar only to turn around and walk past Mora and into the barrel of a pistol." She snickered a bit, giving a roll of her shoulders and unfolding her arms to put her pointer finger in her mouth and pick at a tooth for a moment, smiling, remembering. Clearly the memory wasnt bad, even though she could remember the pain, the way she felt, the coldness... the blood. Oh god, the blood. There was so much, the way her red essence had pooled like syrup around her body as she laid on the tile of the gas station floor bleeding out. She remembered looking to the side at her freshly bought pack of smokes, the cellophane wrapped around the little square package repelling the crimson fluid like water off skin. Blinking and snapping out of it, her smile widened a bit as she dropped her hand from her mouth and continued on in the story.

"Some junkie nut job, or whatever. Demanded my wallet. I didnt feel like getting robbed, so I kinda dared him. I think he wouldnt have shot me had he not been shaking so bad." She shrugged, her hand moving to the center of her chest where her bullet wound was still to this day, never healing and constantly oozing a bit of black blood. "Mora threw him across the store and scooped my dying self up. Took me to the edge of the woods and turned me under a giant tree." She chuckled, remembering the way the tree looked so crystal clear as she looked up at it with new eyes. "All because I wanted a candy bar, man." She shook her head and laughed under her breath, looking over at Cai with another laugh. "I still have it, actually, in my freezer." She admitted to him with a semi serious look that dissipated moments after giving it.
