Free Online Courses....

So, I am in school working on my Masters of Education, currently. In doing so, I was able to see a speaker- Daphne Koller (a professor at Stanford) about this new initiative where top universities from all over the world are offering a variety of courses for FREE to anyone in the world. It isn't a degree program, obviously, but...if you are working in a certain field or would like to start in one, you can use these certificates from taking these classes as a good place to start or to get promotions, etc.
The classes are like other online courses- 6 weeks long, you have tests and assignments to turn in, you are graded on your work, and receive a certificate at the end of it, should you pass it. You watch video instruction and can work on your own schedule. You can take 1 or as many as you like from the offered classes, there is no limit.
Just thought I would throw it out there to anyone interested. I thought it was pretty neat and they have a lot of great courses in different fields.
