OOC: This takes place on Mike's Birthday

Corin had called up her cousin that she had missed for some time and told him she was going to throw him a birthday party on her boat. Arron was helping her get everything set up and in the corner with a big bow on the cage was an African Gray Parrot who was whistling the tune to Star Trek. She had only gotten the bird for her cousin a week before but keep it for his birthday teaching it to say Happy Birthday Mike. Arron had been watching lots of Star Trek Next Gen shows so the bird had caught on to that as well and could quote the opening to the show. On the table she had a cake with the words Happy Birthday Mike on it as well as the boat decorated with balloon and other things. She wondered if her cousin would like the party or not she also had contacted Rich Hooper a well known robotics engineer to come though the man had declined he did send her some items to give to her cousin. Not only that but she had went from different stores as well as pilfering the junk yard for parts for her cousin knowing he loved to make robots. She sent a text to her cousin letting him know where her boat was and what time he should be there she also let him know he could bring as many people as he wanted to to the party. All she had to do now was wait.

Mike dropped his backpack onto the floor. He had some time before he had to get to the boat, passing on taking a nap, he worked on wiring a new project. "Ow.." he muttered, burning his finger with the solder. He quickly pushed open the window to let the smoke out of the bedroom. He stuck his burnt finger in his mouth.

"Hey dipshit, you got somewhere to be right?" Rude Robot said, waddling across the floor.

"Huh?" Mike said, looking to the time. "Oh no." he ran passed the annoying rude robot ball with legs, knocking it over which made it start to cuss more as it couldn't right itself back up. Mike went into the bathroom and washed his hands. He returned to his room, quickly changing into a better shirt. He wasn't sure who all would be coming, his grandfather was still MIA, he hoped he was alright. Nimrod would show up, he liked sweets and parties so of course he would. Windy just shoved some parts at him the other day and said he'd skip this party. His cousin was a vampire after all and the man wasn't sure if she would be okay with a paladin coming to the party. Mike was sure his cousin wouldn't care. Then again, Mike did also invite Alex who he didn't get along with. So maybe it was best for him not to be there. He also invited Morgan who was friends with Alex, they hanged out and found that alien body and all.

He grabbed his other bag that wasn't for school and shoved the rude robot in. "First sign of you being bad, I'm throwing you off the boat." he said. He looked in the mirror, running a hand through his messy hair. It was hard to believe he was 21 now, he had been here since he was 19. Time sure went by fast.

Mike hurried off to the address he was given, looking over from the dock at the boat. He wondered if he should have walked Nim over here, fearing the man might get lost or try to jump on a different boat. He entered the boat, "Hello?" he called out.

Corin heard the hello and Arron was up and to the door looking out it. He noticed Mike and knew who it was from the pic that Corin had shown the boy. "Sis, Mike is here." was all the 13 year old had said before pulling open the door and running to the man stopping to look up at him. "You make Robots Right? Sissy has told me so much about you." Corin stood in the door and just laughed because it was all she could do to try not to. She smiled at Mike and looked aound. "Hey Mike. Meet Arron my little brother. Well since I had not siblings and he was an orphan I adopted him as my brother. Welcome to my boat the Titanic. I know I know bad luck name but the boat stays docked unless I want to fish. Come on in. Is anyone going to be coming that you know? So you think Grandfather will come?" She had wanted to meet her cousins friends for a while.

“Turn right ahead.”

Nimrod was following the voice on his phone so he could find his way there. He had wrapped up some parts that he knew Mikey could use for his robots which was the only thing he could think of for him, other than bandaides, he hurt himself a lot.

“Turn left ahead. You have reached your..”

He didn’t hear the rest as he stopped suddenly, almost ending up in the water. “Eek!” he said, taking a step back. He looked over and saw the boat then Mike and some other people he didn’t know. He ran up behind Mike. “Mikey! I didn’t get lost.” He said.

“You have reached your..”

Nim blinked, “Shut up, I’m here.” He said, pushing on buttons to exit out of the program. “There.” He said, putting the phone in his pocket. “So this your cousin?” he said.

Mike raised an eyebrow when a younger boy greeted him, it was strange at first until it was explained he was adopted. He hadn't talked to his cousin in some time so he had no idea who this kid was. "Hi, yeah I make robots." he replied. He looked at Corin and blinked, the ship name wasn't too warm and fuzzy.

"I'm not sure who is coming. My one friend is a paladin so he wasn't too sure how the interaction would be.." he explained, while he had brought it up to a few people, he really wasn't sure who was coming. "I haven't been able to get into contact with him for awhile.."

He turned toward Nimrod when he showed up, he smiled. The man wouldn't miss anything that would have sweets. "This is my other friend, Nimrod. He goes by Nim or Nimmy." he said, "Nim this is my cousin Corin and well, adopted cousin Arron." he said.

Morgan sent yet one more text to Alexandrea and slammed the phone down, annoyed with her friend and employer. Mike's birthday party was already starting and once again Alex was running late. "She's probably in another one of those damn raids. She always losses track of time in those things." The young woman muttered under her breath to no one in particular.

She went about and left the store, leaving Breyanna in charge, and made her way through the mall to the employees area to collect Mike's gifts before going to the train and heading for River Rock. The last message to Alex had been to let her know that Morgan was going ahead without her.

With a huge grin, Alexandrea looked over the two new expensive paintings she had 'liberated' from the sixth floor. She was bummed to not get a relic this time but she had a lot of great loot and a really fun time dancing with all the guards. Plus as a bonus she had a lot more source codes to give Maddie later on. She left to go stash all the new goodies in her locker and once clear of the building she turned on her cell..

Oh great big farking turkey turds... Alex thought as she read the messages from her thrall. I'm late, again.

She was exhausted, in every way. No way she would make to the train and running was clearly out of the question. But then she remembered the Tome Elizabeth had given her and was at the rooftop garden and through the fade portal to the station before one could say 'Bob's your uncle'.

Thankfully the walk to the boat was a short one and Alexandrea actually managed to beat Morgan there. She took great pleasure in rolling her eyes at the girl and asking her what had taken her so long before the two walked down the dock together towards the boat.

Sh didn't know two of the people there, a young lad and a young woman, but she went right up to Mike and gave him a hug before turning to hug Nimrod as well.

"Happy Birthday, Mike! Hiya Nimmy!" Alex sang out with a huge grin as Morgan joined them.

"Hi Nim. Happy Bday Mike." Morgan didn't do 'hugs' so she just handed Mike the bag with his gifts and waited for the new people to be introduced.

Corin smiled at her younger brother and then her cousin. When he introduced her to Nimmy she had a huge smile on her face and walked over to the man holding out a hand. "Hello Nimmy, It is nice to meet you." She then looked at Arron and took the teens hand "Arron no scaring your cousin okay." She smiles at the new person and then looks to her cousin to introduce her to this new one. Arron is jumping around at all the people coming up. "Does you friend that is a Paladin think he might hurt me. And when did you figure out I was not mortal. Oh and Nimmy don't worry I will not hurt you. I am a good person."

“Hi Mike cousin, Corin. Hi other cousin.” Nim said grinning. He bounced when Nice Lady showed up, he hugged her back and grinned more. “Oh, you vampie? I know many vampies. So its cool.”

“Yay party.” He said. He ran off on the boat more. “I want to be a pirate!” he said and started to do various pirate sayings.

Mike smiled at Alex and Morgan . "Thank you for coming." he said. He took the bag. "Alex, Morgan. This is my cousin Corin and adopted cousin Arron." he added. "Cousins, these are some more of my friends."

"Oh, the paladin, Windy. No, he doesn't attack unless he has a reason." he replied, "But he and Alex really don't get along." he knew the reason had to do with that blonde that Windy liked stalking but figured there was more to it then that.

He hadn't meant to give away that he knew, well, she confirmed it anyway. "That Crownet place. I didn't dare say anything but I did read what was there." the vampire community was rather ruthless and scary, a world he sure didn't want to be apart of in such a way.

He blinked as Nim ran off, wanting to be a pirate. It gave him an idea that Nim would love a pirate themed birthday party. He smiled at the rest of them, "He'll come back as soon as there's sweets involved." he said with a laugh.

After exchanging hugs with Nimrod, Alex chuckled as the man rushed off to play pirate. He was a refreshing change of pace that always left Alexandrea feeling rather playful herself. The idea of a game of pirates was appealing, although the party was about Mike so her focus returned to the younger man.

Windbag was mentioned and Mike explained that Alex and Anemoi didn't get along and Alex rolled her eyes, resisting the urge to laugh. Mike obviously excelled at understatement.

"Hello Corin, Arron. I'm pleased to meet you both. Thank you for inviting us and for throwing this party for Mike. This is my friend, Morgan." Alex said rather than make a comment about the Paladin. Morgan nodded in greetings but didn't say much, the young human was always wary around new vampires and humans that she didn't know, constantly on the alert for anyone that might be a threat to her friend and employer, Alexandrea. If there was trouble to be found, Alex usually would step right into it.
