--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Jonah: Jonah was hunting above ground and for a target he hadn't really searched for in...at least a year. The recent discussions had made him start considering new and better ways for their system to stabilize and he had heard of a relic that the Blood Thieves carried that kept one's body from losing blood as quickly. He no longer knew where they regularly hid out though, so was merely stalking the streets for some sign.
Dominique: Dominique was rather annoyed as she made her way through the abandoned building. It was easy to clear out the annoying and useless gangsters that were huddled about like cockroaches that clung to the dark corners and their select groups. Nothing new really and she had no energy or time to spend trying to get them to see the path they were heading was leading to no good. She was on a mission of her own as their fading sounds of footsteps exiting the building signaled that she had temporary claim of the building she stood in. Her inked fingers tugged at the black phone in her pocket. The time was fading fast for her to be out safely. She would use her tome if it got too close to sunrise but for the precious time she had left she was fully prepared to make use of it. The blood buffing relic she needed. She was willing to pay for it, steal to obtain it as soon as she heard of its existence and what it could mean to her. Dominique was one of the freaks of the darkness that didn't choose to be what she was. Now that relic could bring her a little closer back, or so she hoped.
Jonah: He stood outside of an abandoned warehouse and cracked his back. So far, he'd come up mostly empty handed though he was starting to remember where they normally hung out, and the building in front of him seemed like a likely spot. Earlier in this life, he might have kicked the door open but now, he calmly opened the door and hugged the wall, making a slow circle through the massive building.
Dominique: A rustle of shoes increased suddenly and she pocketed her cell and reached for her master blade. She was not going to pull it out. Not yet. Last thing anyone wanted to see was some petite wide eyed chick looking like she was lost during a evening run in black sweats and a hoodie with a knife in her hand that had no place on the streets to begin with. Her hand confirmed it was there and that was all she needed. A slight shift of her shoulders and a scan of the darkness broken by faint slivers of passing headlights filtering in through the cracks gave her a rare find and a reason to smile. It had to be yet another blood thief and perhaps the link to her one ability to be free from ritual and what she was refusing to ingest ever. The lanky male seemed to be a little more dapper than one should in the dark abandoned she slowly stepped through moved towards her as if he was just what he was looking for. that made it all too handy for her and she relaxed as he approached. Her eyes ignored the fixed gaze setting on hers and instead located and noted his pockets and anywhere possible the man could be carrying the relic. "Kind of out late aren't you?" His voice broke the silence between them. "Same could be said for you." She shrugged off the question and went a step further showing in her bold step she was not in the least intimidated by him or anyone.
Jonah: Moving slowly, the sound of voices piqued his interest and he directed himself towards them. The Thieves were not so uniform that one could recognize them by dress alone but there was something about him that made Jonah believe that he was one. The person he was with was of no consequence, seeming to be a vampire based off of what he was sensing. Raising his rifle, he sighted carefully and squeezed the trigger, a short burst of bullets catching the male in the shoulder and head from the side.
Dominique: Another step and her foot was curled up with her pink Nike about to seal its no skid grip to the rough concrete flooring beneath. That is when she felt that eerie chill that sent goose bumps over her exposed skin and spine. The man in front of her was not the only one in the building with her. Just as she was intending to pivot and drop while grabbing her blade a shot rang out and the man in front of her was tossed back leaving a shower of blood spurting upward as his body went down. "What the **** are you doing?" She had not even turned around to even see what gun happy drifter was shooting what she was intending on getting into the pockets of. Her eyes went with the rest of her body and she was looking at a outline of something far bigger than she had laid eyes on holding a gun. She reached for her master blade behind her back and shook her head slowly as if she dealt with these sorts of situations all the time. "Let's get a few things straight." She took a step forward, released the handle of her blade and put up her open hands. Now the figure was getting more clear and her brow arched slowly. "I had business with him first. Find your own creeps and targets, capice?"
Jonah: Jonah walked fully in to the area and past the unknown woman. As he stepped past, he gave her all the reply he thought that she should need. "You should be careful who catches you having business with people like him." Kneeling down, he began to riffle through his many pockets, coming up empty handed. Sighing, he looked up and shook his head, mouthing a silent prayer to Nox as he pulled his own Master Blade to sever the head of the fallen man.
Dominique: She was already feeling more irritated than she was comfortable with. The top of her lip lifted and her dark eyes tracked his movements as he bent down and went for the pockets she was planning on checking herself. She has seen tall but this one had that and some interesting features she had not spotted before. He was a vampire and unlike the dime a dozen out there he seemed to have been handed a few disturbing perks to how he looked. "And you are who?" Her eyes narrowed and she took a few steps back when a blade came out and he went to sawing the head off the lifeless body. Her face soured instantly. "Never mind." She was not about to give him any clue as to who she was. She had enough trouble and she was in the building doing her best to try and clear some of it up.
Jonah: "Jonah," was his reply as he continued to hack the head off of the dead man. When it finally separated from the torso, he wiped his bloodied blade down with a rag and sheathed it. Holding the severed head, he walked towards the woman. "And you are?"
