Jonah: Jonah was hunting above ground and for a target he hadn't really searched for in...at least a year. The recent discussions had made him start considering new and better ways for their system to stabilize and he had heard of a relic that the Blood Thieves carried that kept one's body from losing blood as quickly. He no longer knew where they regularly hid out though, so was merely stalking the streets for some sign.

Dominique: Dominique was rather annoyed as she made her way through the abandoned building. It was easy to clear out the annoying and useless gangsters that were huddled about like cockroaches that clung to the dark corners and their select groups. Nothing new really and she had no energy or time to spend trying to get them to see the path they were heading was leading to no good. She was on a mission of her own as their fading sounds of footsteps exiting the building signaled that she had temporary claim of the building she stood in. Her inked fingers tugged at the black phone in her pocket. The time was fading fast for her to be out safely. She would use her tome if it got too close to sunrise but for the precious time she had left she was fully prepared to make use of it. The blood buffing relic she needed. She was willing to pay for it, steal to obtain it as soon as she heard of its existence and what it could mean to her. Dominique was one of the freaks of the darkness that didn't choose to be what she was. Now that relic could bring her a little closer back, or so she hoped.

Jonah: He stood outside of an abandoned warehouse and cracked his back. So far, he'd come up mostly empty handed though he was starting to remember where they normally hung out, and the building in front of him seemed like a likely spot. Earlier in this life, he might have kicked the door open but now, he calmly opened the door and hugged the wall, making a slow circle through the massive building.

Dominique: A rustle of shoes increased suddenly and she pocketed her cell and reached for her master blade. She was not going to pull it out. Not yet. Last thing anyone wanted to see was some petite wide eyed chick looking like she was lost during a evening run in black sweats and a hoodie with a knife in her hand that had no place on the streets to begin with. Her hand confirmed it was there and that was all she needed. A slight shift of her shoulders and a scan of the darkness broken by faint slivers of passing headlights filtering in through the cracks gave her a rare find and a reason to smile. It had to be yet another blood thief and perhaps the link to her one ability to be free from ritual and what she was refusing to ingest ever. The lanky male seemed to be a little more dapper than one should in the dark abandoned she slowly stepped through moved towards her as if he was just what he was looking for. that made it all too handy for her and she relaxed as he approached. Her eyes ignored the fixed gaze setting on hers and instead located and noted his pockets and anywhere possible the man could be carrying the relic. "Kind of out late aren't you?" His voice broke the silence between them. "Same could be said for you." She shrugged off the question and went a step further showing in her bold step she was not in the least intimidated by him or anyone.

Jonah: Moving slowly, the sound of voices piqued his interest and he directed himself towards them. The Thieves were not so uniform that one could recognize them by dress alone but there was something about him that made Jonah believe that he was one. The person he was with was of no consequence, seeming to be a vampire based off of what he was sensing. Raising his rifle, he sighted carefully and squeezed the trigger, a short burst of bullets catching the male in the shoulder and head from the side.

Dominique: Another step and her foot was curled up with her pink Nike about to seal its no skid grip to the rough concrete flooring beneath. That is when she felt that eerie chill that sent goose bumps over her exposed skin and spine. The man in front of her was not the only one in the building with her. Just as she was intending to pivot and drop while grabbing her blade a shot rang out and the man in front of her was tossed back leaving a shower of blood spurting upward as his body went down. "What the **** are you doing?" She had not even turned around to even see what gun happy drifter was shooting what she was intending on getting into the pockets of. Her eyes went with the rest of her body and she was looking at a outline of something far bigger than she had laid eyes on holding a gun. She reached for her master blade behind her back and shook her head slowly as if she dealt with these sorts of situations all the time. "Let's get a few things straight." She took a step forward, released the handle of her blade and put up her open hands. Now the figure was getting more clear and her brow arched slowly. "I had business with him first. Find your own creeps and targets, capice?"

Jonah: Jonah walked fully in to the area and past the unknown woman. As he stepped past, he gave her all the reply he thought that she should need. "You should be careful who catches you having business with people like him." Kneeling down, he began to riffle through his many pockets, coming up empty handed. Sighing, he looked up and shook his head, mouthing a silent prayer to Nox as he pulled his own Master Blade to sever the head of the fallen man.

Dominique: She was already feeling more irritated than she was comfortable with. The top of her lip lifted and her dark eyes tracked his movements as he bent down and went for the pockets she was planning on checking herself. She has seen tall but this one had that and some interesting features she had not spotted before. He was a vampire and unlike the dime a dozen out there he seemed to have been handed a few disturbing perks to how he looked. "And you are who?" Her eyes narrowed and she took a few steps back when a blade came out and he went to sawing the head off the lifeless body. Her face soured instantly. "Never mind." She was not about to give him any clue as to who she was. She had enough trouble and she was in the building doing her best to try and clear some of it up.

Jonah: "Jonah," was his reply as he continued to hack the head off of the dead man. When it finally separated from the torso, he wiped his bloodied blade down with a rag and sheathed it. Holding the severed head, he walked towards the woman. "And you are?"

Dominique: Who was she? Good question. A mess? Some would say that. Her lips stayed softly sealed delivering silence as she thought about how to respond to the unexpected waiting for an answer. Dominique was fangless and damn proud of it. She also was known to finish a few beers that had no lasting effects on her where as the average human had a few issues with inebriation. If asked she couldn't explain it but knew she would miss the flavor of whatever she chose to chew on. She also had a wonderful healthy complexion that seemed to defy what her sentence was supposed to be which was the 'death-eating-a-cracker-look'. He seemed to have superseded it and she swallowed as he stood up carrying the head like one would a melon at a farmers market waiting to be offered a bag to go with his lucky find. "Winnie." She had so many things people called her but for the moment for some reason a treasured bear came to mind and off that Winnie popped in her head. "Yup." She nodded matter of fact then brushed her hood back and shrugged again. "that is my name."

Jonah: He looked her over as she answered him but took her response at face value. his assumption that she was vampire was more based on her being around the Blood Thief than anything about her as an individual. "Well...what business did you have here?" There were only so many things one could get from a Blood Thief and those were decreased if one was doing anything other than taking them out. He didn't recognize her so assumed that she was fairly new and was giving her the benefit of the doubt that she merely didn't know better.

Dominique: The million dollar question. She had heard more than her fair share of them asked of her in the last few months. Usually this would be something that invited her wit to take over and spout off another half-*** answer but she was feeling a little discouraged and rather not add to it with having to fight a giant on the limited energy she had left. Toming home was one thing. Crawling to bed was another thing altogether. This male was either genuinely interested or a risk at what she was. She was going to break even and give a clue. If he was smart on what she was hunting for he would understand. If not he would be left curious and another one that would be getting in her way as she searched for that incredibly rare relic that would prevent her from any more rituals to keep her blood stable. Dominique had a huge issue with depending on anything or being at the mercy of something to keep her going. Vices. Everyone had them but she was currently bound and determined to get rid of any she recently acquired since the first of the year. "I am looking to find something very rare and it seems these characters are the few that have access to it. Other than that I was out for a run. Seems to be getting late. I won't keep you." She took a few slow steps back while her hands slid into her pockets of her fitted jacket.

Jonah: Her answer made enough sense to him since he was looking for the same item. His interest was more academic and general and less merely wanting to utilize it for himself and so he saw an opportunity with this woman. "If you happen to find it, give me a call. I'll do the same for you." She was already walking away as he spoke so began to kneel to stuff the head in to his bag that held the odds and ends he picked up throughout the night as well as his assortment of weaponry.

Dominique: Her pink shoes paused in their steps and she was at the moment frozen. "I don't give out my number. However, if you find it I am willing to pay a reasonable amount to secure possession of it." She stayed still watching the man pack up the bloody head. "What do you think something like that goes for if it is found?" She was rather curious. Seeing as she didn't know who this male was she added in the one question that could perhaps tell her if he really knew what she was talking about and the significance of it.

Jonah: He didn't answer until he had stored everything away and slung the heavy bag over his shoulder. Without looking at her, he pulled out his phone and checked the auction page. "To be honest, I don't know and there's nothing on the auction to compare it to. If I had to guess, I'd say upwards of 200k." Swiping the phone closed he pocketed it and looked at her. "And there are other ways to get a hold of people besides phone."

Dominique: Dominique was well aware there was other forms of contacting someone other than cell phone. It was also being easy to find and contact in this town that got someone an ambulance ride or worse. She had enough of both to satisfy her sense self-preservation. Someone wanted to find her they were going to have to look damn hard to locate her. E-mail was best and safe. "Snow White." She gave her online name. "Message me on that. I am barely online but do get notices on my cell when a message comes to me." Her eyes drifted to the bag he was carrying sizing up how bulky it was and it appeared he had been busy or perhaps he was the sort that carried around all his prized possessions out of paranoia. Either way it was hardly her business or concern. She had other matters to take care of.

Jonah: "Will do," he replied as He made a mental note of the online handle. It was generic enough that he didn't have to make too many leaps to commit it to memory. She was still standing there and he was mildly confused as she'd started to leave just a few moments ago. Moving past her towards the door, he was willing to let her go her own way. "Stay safe in the Darkness."

Dominique: She nodded watching him as he moved. Her head cocked slowly following him with her dark eyes. Her hands reached back and pulled the hood of her jacket up to cover the veil of midnight black that would need a serious washing after the hours spent hunting. The creatures that moved through the shadows would always give her reason to pause and think in terms of eternal and absolute. Was there such a thing? Change was present everywhere her eyes risked their gaze. Nothing stayed the same and now she had more proof in this random encounter to catalogue for future reference. Her feet took to stepping once more and she too made her way out the door. Her surrounding were void of anything standing out so her hand reached for the object that replaced her keys. the tome that took her home far from city limits and the clutches of the questionable.
