This RP took place on Thursday 23rd January 2014 in King`s Lair Dungeon
Keara: "Greetings Robert. Seen you for some time I have not. How are you?"

Robert: "He smiled and almost embraced her, but remembered her reluctance to touch just in time. Instead he bowed deeply to her and nodded.* It has been a while. How are you? I`m not bad at all. Just doing as I always do, trying to make the world a better place for everyone. Yourself?"

Keara: Enjoying I am for back in the city to be. Enver me to a cabin did take. Hesitant I was for the city to leave. But glad I am that went we did. *Smiles at him softly and offers him her hand to shake*Enver me much has taught. Able I should be for your hand to shake without you injury to cause.

Robert: His smile didn't falter as he reached out his hand and took hers ever so gently in his, and then shook it - all the while watching her face to make sure she were ok with it and ready to release as soon as she twitched or looked uncomfortable.

Keara: While she was able to control herself as she shook his hand, she kept the interaction brief but polite. “Are you your time in here enjoying? Find I do that battling creatures most calming is. Enver no such enjoyment from these things does gain but dabbles he does. On occasion.” Keara adopts a stance that shows she’s in no hurry to leave and yet she doesn’t look fully relaxed either, as she was always on her guard when hunting.

Robert: He let her hand go the moment she went to move it away and then leant against a wall and shook his head. "No, I can't say I enjoy being here. I don't come to kill the people or the beasts, I come to help the vampires in need, those who find themselves in trouble. There's not really any enjoyment to be had in killing someone or something. Is there?" He said it with passion, and then stared at her, wondering if she really did enjoy the slaughter of things weaker than she.

Keara: A very small part of her wanted to laugh at the similarity between Robert and Enver but the laugher never reached her throat. “Of course there is. Though depends does on what killed must be. These creatures our existence threaten to expose. Culled they must be, else frail creatures aware of us may become.” Her tone was calm and steady and it was obvious that she believed what she was saying.

Robert: He couldn't help but shrug and smirk at that one. "And really, would that be such a bad thing? They said that blacks and whites should never be integrated too. But look, there's nothing wrong with that, and it all worked out fine despite the naysayers and doom mongers. So why is this any different? Why can't we integrate into human society?"

Keara: “When lived through the consequences of frail creatures knowing you have, perhaps think differently you shall. While some trusted can be. On mass, quite dangerous to us they are. And…understand I do not the comparison that make you do. Integrated we can be without our identities to betray. Store in the city I own, work I do but no need there is for any my true nature to know. Sound you do like Enver. He this also does not understand. But young you are. Say that I do not for you to insult, only statement of fact is. Your experiences different to mine are.” She didn’t notice that she had crossed her arms, adopting a slightly defensive position, but she had.

Robert: He hadn't missed the posture change, but he ignored it because this was something he was passionate about and believed whole heartedly. "Yes, well, I honestly don't believe there was some sort of massacre because it seems far too implausible to me. Plus, times have changed anyways. Vampires are the 'in' thing and there are films and TV shows and all sorts. Hell, there's even a show all about vampires integrating and coming clean about what they are. We do it right - and everything will improve for us and those 'frail things' as you call them" He had to admit, he was a little annoyed at the derogatory manner in which she referred to humans, though he was trying not to let it show

Keara: “Implausible? Hmm…then believe me you do not. Which means believe you do that I lying am. No reason have I to lie about what happened did. And my understanding is, that films and reality quite different are. Even when tell they do stories of the past, often inaccurate they are. My experience quite real was. Fear frail creatures do what understand they do not. Fear drives them for stupid things to do. While individuals of worth may be, on mass quite stupid they can be. Above such behaviour our kind also is not. No delusions there do I have.” She didn’t appreciate him basically denying the truth of what happened. She certainly wouldn’t have stayed in town and allowed herself to be slaughtered had she anywhere else to run too.

Robert: He nodded his head. "Yes, implausible. There were supposedly hundreds of thousands of vampires in the past, all with bigger and better powers than we have right now, not to mention rituals that we've lost, and superior strength, speed, skill, etc etc. And a bunch of humans with pitchforks were able to wipe everyone out. Really?" He shook his head, chuckling slightly. "I'm sure there were some that were killed here and there by other vampires, as well as some who were made to believe there was a holocaust and they were under threat. But no, I don't believe there was a worldwide holocaust of every vampire on the planet, at a time before tweets and emails and phones with which to organise. So no, I don't believe you are lying, I believe you believe what you think happened. But I don't think it happened as you think it happened. And yes, fear drives them, just as fear drives us. Why else did you all kill my friends and family, the bloodthieves? You all feared them and what they were doing." His voice was beginning to quaver as he remembered the bodies and the blood and the loss, but he tried to hold it together. "Which is why, I've made it my mission to show them there are some of us who should not be feared. That we aren't all monsters. However, there are some to be feared - and those should be killed and gotten rid of."

Keara: “Assume you do wrong when say you do that vampires then stronger were. Vampires of this age far stronger are than those with whom I my path did cross. Sudden it was not and yes…communication then quite different was. Easy it was for messages astray to go. Intercepted a number myself I did. Blood thieves your family are? Dangerous to our kind they too are.” Part of what he said struck her as odd, confused her even but then she wasn’t the sort not to seek clarification in such moments. “When say you do that some feared and killed should be of whom do you speak? Vampires or blood thieves?”

Robert: "I'm going off information I received from Grigori who said that vampires were stronger back then. That you all had more and different powers as well as different rituals. The same with the whole holocaust thing, I've just picked up information here and there. And none of it makes any sense." He shook his head and sighed. "And vampires. There are some vampires who need to be exterminated in a manner which means they cannot return from the realm of shadows. For what they have done to humans and for what they continue to do to vampires and humans alike. And no, we blood thieves are and were not a danger. We were misunderstood!"

Keara: “Know I do not of what they speak. Yes things quite different then were. Much time spent I as a vampire and very few powers had I compared to now. Powers easier in this day and age do come. True it always is if into history you look that changes about have come, that information lost has been. Argue there I shall not.” She took a moment to digest the fact that he though some vampires exterminated should be. She couldn’t agree with that. Didn’t agree with that. Agreeing with that would mean being all right with sending one of her kind to that place for all eternity and having spent time there, that wasn’t something she was comfortable with. “Wish I never do another of our kind to that realm to send. As for your family. No misunderstanding was it when blood thieves our blood without permission did imbibe. Reason there is for the name that adopted they have. While yes, perhaps some the blood by honourable means did take but not all. My blood all that I am is. Give that freely I do not. So…find ourselves perhaps we do at impasse.” She gave a decisive nod. Conversations with Enver sometimes took this tact too, as there wasn’t much point continuing down a road of discussion where neither would be swayed from their opinion.

Robert: "The blood thieves is a name the vampires came up with, not a name we had for ourselves. Vampires called us that because they are biased and afraid. I never ever took someone's blood by force. All I ever took was willingly given, and it was the same throughout the whole organisation I was a part of. Yet the vampires were scared and so murdered everyone without thought, despite all I did to stop them!" There were tears in his eyes now as he thought of the people he'd cared for and loved whom he'd had to bury himself. For the life he'd lost and been thrown into, and then abandoned and killed mercilessly and repeatedly. He was a child of the vampires, all he was and all he believed had been brought about by the horror in which he'd been brought to this life and how he'd been treated by it ever since. "And they wouldn't be in the realm if they were killed properly." He murmured murderously, thinking of the list in his head of all those he wanted dead and gone for good.

Keara: “Know that you cannot. Knew I did not whereto I my kin did send but sentenced them to death I did regardless. If knew I did then, what now I know. Never would I my orders have obeyed.” Keara was looking slightly more annoyed than she previously did, her mouth holding most of her tension as she quickly replied to Enver via email. “Sorry I am for your loss Robert,” her tone showed a certain amount of frustration. “Well…sorry I am that for you your family to lose, you pain has brought. Think perhaps speak of something else we should. As while a part of that massacre I was not, my support my family had for that campaign to join.” It was a sentiment she wouldn’t usually express but she was now distracted by the fact that Enver was talking to some random ‘family’ member one floor below them.

Robert: He wasn't fussed about the vampires dying thing, he would see that happen one night or other and one way or another. He didn't care if he was supported in that or not. However, the comments at the end made his eyes narrow and his whole body tense. "You what?" His voice was softer, but there was a tone there that spoke volumes about how he was feeling. And it wasn't good.

Keara: “Supported I did the plan for the blood thieves to cull. No issue have I for their lives to end so long as expose us they may do. Wonder I do why you so much of the others do think than you kin. Vampire you are. Yes? Perhaps like my Sara embraced that fact you as of yet have not. Think too much she does for the lives of frail creatures.” She’d begun tapping the fingers of her right hand upon her side, though this was perhaps hard to discern from the way in which her arms were crossed. “Misunderstand me not Robert. All life value has. Support I do not the killing of creatures that innocent are. Only those that a threat to our kind are.” She didn’t know why they were still talking about this, it was obvious they stood on opposite sides of this line.

Robert: He was actually disgusted with her and there was a foul taste in his mouth that she could condone the killing of innocents. He spat his words at her. "There was no threat to 'your' kind. 'Your' kind were just assholes who killed what they didn't understand and enjoyed it. The only people who need to worry when the humans do finally come to understand what lurks in the dark, are those like you who think they are better than others." And with that, he turned and stalked away from her, as his age old temper was flaring up and he needed to get away from her and her superiority complex.

Keara: She was going to reply but he turned and walked away. He sounded exactly like Sara the way he defended the frail creatures and the blood thieves. She couldn’t understand that way of thinking. Did she think she was above them, yes, in some ways perhaps she did. She was higher on the food chain, that was just a fact but that didn’t mean that for the most part that she wasn’t perfectly respectful of their right to live. She saw humans much like they did the livestock upon which they fed, only she was perhaps a little more sensitive to their nature. This thought left her wondering if Robert too fed from blood bags instead of from the vein. ‘Assume I do not that I better than you are.’ she sent the message direct you his mind as she stared at his back. ‘Quite happy am I with all to co-exist, so long as threaten our existence they do not.’

Robert: He didn't have the ability to respond to her telepathically, which was probably a good thing to be honest. Because anything he had to say to her wasn't going to be pretty. He wandered off, found himself a corner and sat down to meditate in and calm himself.
