--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Keara: Keara was out the back of the shop working on a skirt when she heard the shop door go. She finished the seam she was working on and took her foot off of the peddle, while there were many things in this century she saw no need for, the sewing machine wasn’t one of them as it made making garments a lot easier. Going to the front of the store, she stood over by the counter and watched the familiar looking young man. She didn’t have a lot of problems with thieves and she usually didn’t work the till, but the usual cashier was on a break since Keara was there for a few hours. “If help you require, assist you I can,” she said in her most cordial voice.
Shannon: ~Shannon looked up and smiled at the young woman. He didn't say a word though. He wasn't mute or shy, he just didn't like using his voice or speaking. He never really had to, since his parents always knew what he wanted for the most part. His eyes studied the woman's face for a moment, then gave a polite nod and went back to browsing the shop. Already finding two shirts he liked. Turning, he held the shirt up in front of him as if asking her opinion of it, and if it would look alright on him.~
Keara: She kept an eye on the male and when he turned and looked at her she nodded politely. “Suits you that does. And saying that I am not to make a sale.” Keara ran her hand over the counter, allowing herself to be distracted by the feel of the metal edging beneath her fingertips.
Shannon: ~Shannon offered her a polite smile and folded the shirt over his shoulder as he begun to search for a pair of pants that would go well with the shirt. A frowned formed on his face, then looked back up to the young woman, waiting to catch her eye before making a finger movement to the rack with the pants on it. He couldn't find anything he liked~
Keara: The gesture was just within her eye line and served to bring her back to reality and so she moved a little closer to him, one of her hands keeping contact with the nearest shelf, rack or item of clothing. “Have you need of something?” she asked looking from him to the rack he’d pointed to.
Shannon: ~He held up the shirt, then narrowed his eyes at the rack, then returned his gaze to the woman. His parents had recently sent him some cash for the holidays. He smiled politely, and held the shirt up to him again, and pointed at the pants and shook his head, hardly noticing the other people entering into the store~
Keara: She turned to look at the people entering the store and then looked back to the young man she was dealing with. He looked a little like her brother Weylin and six months ago that might have been enough to send her catatonic but as things stood now, she was better able to deal with her grief and so was able to stop the sadness overwhelming her. “If so impolite I might be, helpful it would be if you your question could for me voice. Misunderstand you I wish not to.”
Shannon: ~He frowned at this. He really hated using his voice. He turned his head to glance at the people that came into the store and studied them for a moment. He didn't like the look of them too much, and another frown formed on his lips. He turned back to the young woman and spoke: "Can't find pants that match"~ he kept it short and simple~
Keara: "If nothing like you do, welcome you are your own to design. Have we do catalogue...somewhere. Tendency have the staff of things out here to move. Know not why," she said moving over to the counter to see if she could find the catalogue and her portfolio.
Shannon: ~It took him only a few seconds to understand what she said, then gave her a warm smile and followed after her. He liked looking at the catalogue. He always finds things in there he wanted. He turned to glance at the people once more, frowning a little. He had the urge to leave the shop, but he also wanted to look at the catalogue. He thought for a moment, then quickly spoke~ Do you have one I can take home?
Keara: She shook her head in answer to his question, not really sensing what the young man was from the people than had entered the store, but then she rarely feared humans unless of course they were in larger groups. “Only store copy have we. But welcome you are a seat to take if wish you do the pages over to look.” Turning her attention the others that had entered she asked, “If help you I can, let me know please.”
Shannon: ~He shook his head and put the shirt on the counter, his hand reaching for his wallet of money~ I'll just take shirt ~he wanted out of that store. Those people made him nervous. Then again, everyone made him nervous to some degree. He offered the young woman a shaky smile as he waited for her to ring up his purchase. He kept his eyes forward the entire time, He couldn't wait to get back to the safety of his home. He might return the next day or so to look over the catalogue~
Keara: Taking the shirt from him she scanned the tag and began folding it neatly. It was just as she made a move to total the purchase that the pair of men that had entered produced weapons. One had a knife, the other a gun. The guy with the gun quite firmly stating that she should empty the register quickly and quietly. According to the not so convincing man, if she complied, no-one would get hurt.
Shannon: ~Shannon froze as he felt the blade of the knife against his throat. He should have left sooner. He stood frozen, unable to move due to fear. He heard what the other man said, and his eyes moved to the young woman's face, then closed them. He had no weapons on him, and he felt useless right now. Slowly his hands turned to fists as he awaited the outcome~
Keara: Not the sort to allow people to rob her but also the sort that tried to hide what she was, Keara first tried to reason with the men, watching as one placed a blade to her customer’s throat. Perhaps she wouldn’t have cared had it been someone else but this was like watching someone hold a blade to Weylin’s throat. An irritated growl escaped her throat and she looked the guys over once more. “Suggest I do that rethink your purpose here you do. If leave now. Harm you I shall not have too.” She was doing her best to remain calm, even going as far to dig her nails into the soft flesh of her palms as she spoke.
Shannon: ~Shannon pulled the hood of his sweater up and over his head, casting a shadow over his face. Reaching forward, he grasped the handle of the door to his home and twisted it open. He locked the door and slipped out into the cold night, heading towards the marketplace to visit a goth store he visited quite often. He enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, and the young woman who ran it was rather attractive and easy to be around. It took him a half an hour to get to the shop, hands stuffed into his pockets to keep them warm as he walked into the shop~This RP took place in Goth Garb on Wednesday 4th December.
