Rock Bay Docks: The Meeting
DM The docks were usually busy this time of night what with boats returning from the daily business and tonight was no exception. Boatslip 10 was still empty despite that fact that some gathered around the place, knew a meeting was to happen on board in the next 30 minutes.
Alexandrea had arrived early and used alter ego to move into a dark corner on the deck of the boat and wait. The note had just said it was a meeting, not what kind. And considering the nature of the body she had looted the scrap of paper from, it could be Sorcerers or even Paladins. Or it could be nothing to worry about. Regardless, Alex took the cautionary route and stayed quiet in the shadows to wait and see what would happen.
Pi dArtois Pi held the tome in her hand, as well as the note that came with it. She wasn't a ritualist and she knew the tome should mean something and if it didn't she sure as hell knew the note did. She hadn't shared it that night in the Necropolis or in the QZ later but she knew it was important and someone should know. Keeping it to herself was a good idea and the more people she let in on what she held, the better. The shard, that thing Nix was willing to shoot her over stayed in a safe place. She hadn't figured out yet what it could do but she wasn't willing to bring it back out into public remembering that night and the look in the eye of the woman who threatened to shoot her in the head to get it.
Pi dArtois Tonight Pi dressed for trouble. Long black pants, cargos with clips with spare ammo hooked into the belt. This time she sported Stella, the custom rifle fitted comfortably along her back and the Enchanted sword in a visible sheath on her left side, crossed diagonally at her hip. Pi wasn't dressed for a casual night out at the bar and she learned from the last time that she had to come prepared for anything, so she did. Her hair was held back with a simple headband, holding her hair off her face so strands of falling brown locks didn't block her line of sight. This was the Pi she had always been, the killer, the fighter and the woman who had managed to survive a human life through her wits and unique talents.
Drusilla ‹Drusilla› Dru sighed, even though she had been invited, she really wished Kira was here with her but something came up. She held her jacket closer, feeling nervous about being here. Taking a moment to find the right boat, she stayed nearby and played a game on her phone so she wasn't just standing around waiting for something to happen.
Ripper spots Drusilla over on the adjoining pier. After a few moments he decides to stand up and walk over to her
Pi dArtois Alexandrea had invited her, calling her curious about the tome and it seemed like a good idea. Pi needed to talk to someone and Alexandrea had impressed her that night, with her skills defusing that situation with the armed soldiers in the sewers and later, in the QZ itself. If anyone from that night Pi knew she could talk to Alexandrea and maybe, maybe she could find out a little bit more about what she'd found. Not the shard, but definitely the rest. After the call Pi called Madison, the other family member (other than Elliot) who had been there that night. She told Madison about the tome and the note and what it said and in an effort to bring more people. So they agreed to go together, her and Madison. Strength in numbers and…. Well, it looked like Madison had already been invited. It was win win.
Ripper Alright, Dru.
Pi dArtois The dock smelled of the ocean, of rotting fish and shells left too long out of the brine that kept them alive. It was the salty tang that always lingered on the coast, it was the smell of the salty dog pirate and those who loved the ocean. She had never been brought up on the coast but she liked the lapping of the waves against the docks, the constant rush of sound. It soothed her except she wasn't sure anything would calm her nerves this night. The last time she was taken by surprise and didn't know what would happen. This time she was ready, prepared… for anything. Using her portal, with Madison at her side, the one that took her directly into the docks Pi surveyed the area, spotting Alexandrea and walking over to the woman with a small smile. she searched the shadows of the place, carefully, cautiously as she moved.
Ripper look, I wanted to know...are we good?
Alexandrea Alex was startled to be seen by Pi but smiled as the woman came over and waved her over into the shadows~
Shan The way her phone buzzed in her hand made her purse her lips. She didnt like it, but she didnt leave the ringer on at all. It possibly gave away her position, and she didnt like that. Standing and dusting herself off, she glanced to the fishing pole she had snapped over her knee about an hour ago and dropped into the shallow-y looking water. Glancing around to the few people that had walked past her, seemingly all going to the same boat slip that was empty. She eyed it, boat dock number '10'. Was there a Halloween party about to get underway or something? She was intrigued, enough to go stand near the group, though she stayed in her own little corner of the shadows. Maybe she would see someone she knew. Even if she didnt, she likely would invite herself to the party eventually. After all, tonight was the one night she didnt have to hide her fangs that were permanent. But as of right now she was waiting on a text from her sire; and would go meet up with her if she wasnt too busy. She hadnt seen Velveteen
in a few days and she was starting to be more and more irratible about the whole situation. A hand raised up to idly scratch at her neck as she swallowed dryly. Damn she was thirsty.
Madison Madison's mind was full of twists and turns, odds and ends that didn't make sense. Alexandrea had filled her in on what she had missed after leaving the Necropolis and then Pi had too. Neither one of them could tell her why it was that a group of humans seemed to be trying to revive the Crow. So Madison had called Blake and told him what was going on. About what had happened and the meeting that the three women planned to crash. He of course had told her that he would be there. All she had to do was mention the word 'tome.'
Madison Hours before the meeting was set to start, Madison sent her new friend down to investigate. She had gotten lucky in her summoning of a wraith and ended up with one that had formerly been a shadow and knew the importance of being stealthy. Madison knew that as soon as she stepped through that portal with Pi, Dame would be along shortly to let them know what was on the up and up.
Robert Pratt Robert wandered into the docks, totally unaware of anything that had been arranged or anything that was going on. He was just here for a bit of fishing and a relax. However the sight of everyone there in corners and around made his footsteps falter. Something was amiss here, and as he looked from face to face, he had no idea who to approach to find out wtf.
Madison Shortly after appearing in the Docks, Madison followed Pi's lead in approaching Alexandrea but was ever watchful for Dame. An odd shimmer of a shadow out of the corner of her eye caught her attention and she turned towards it. Dame flickered briefly before speaking out, "The boat you spoke of is not here."
Blake Blake had received the call hours before hand from a very informative Madison. Tomes and shards and bloody men, it tickled the hermit shadows interest far more than anything else had. He had promised Madison his attendance if only to make sure she stayed safe and to learn what he could of these shards that had been popping up randomly about the city. Sitting in deep meditation in one of the far corners of the boatyard he didn't stir until he felt the familiar tug of his Wraith, Sir, vying for his attention. It seemed as if the night was about to begin. He rose slowly, his long coat hiding an array of weaponry that he prayed was not needed. He would be prepared though, however, if it was. He looked around and spotted Madison not too far off, alongside the telepath was Pi D'Artois and a blonde he didn't recognize who, from what Madison had told him, had to be Alexandrea.
Pi dArtois With Madison at her side when they entered the dock she took only a second to look around, frowning as she realised just how many 'other' people were there. Unknown people, which equated to unknown equations that needed to be carefully considered. Thinking on her feet Pi gave the tome she had picked up from the previous night to Madison, realizing she couldn't keep a hold on all the cards and it was better really, that someone other than herself had a hold of the items she had collected from the previous night. The note, the note she kept to herself the crumpled piece of evidence of the human's intentions sitting in her pocket. "Madison.” She said sotte voce, her voice low. "Could you hold this?” she offered the tome as a subtle (and direct) act of trust.
Madison The look on Madison's face turned quizzical as she questioned the space where Dame was, "What do you mean it's not here?"
Killian had been told about the meeting on the boat. The killer showed up, armed with a few weapons hidden upon his person just in case things went south really quickly. He spotted a couple of familiar people around, but few that he actually trusted. Zen and Madison were there, which was a good sign. He was sure Alex was around, too, and that she was probably the person he absolutely did not recognize on the corner of the slip where boat number 10 should be docked. He wasn't privy to the knowledge that anyone had gained at the last meet up, but that didn't mean that he would neglect to show up with the invitation he had been extended. However, there wasn't a boat where there should have been. He saluted Zen, and Madison, then gave a nod to Ripper. Upon seeing Robert, the Irishman grinned and stepped over to him. "Hey, mate."
Madison Madison turned to look at Pi, taking the tome she offered and slipped it into her bag, zipping it shut afterwards and gave Pi a nod.
Drusilla Dru laughed a little. "You're the one that had started ****. Stop pissing off my sister because of you messing with Alex for no reason. We're not good but I don't want to hit you anymore.." she said.
Ripper manages to pick up Alexandrea's trail! They are within the search radius.
Madison Dame's voice spoke out impatiently, "I mean it's not here. But there are tons of vampires around."
Oria Oria had gotten an email from Alex about a meeting that was to transpire this particular morning during the wee hours at the docks, and she was invited to tag along to offer any assistance she may be able to. She made it a point to bring with her sword and rifle, slung over the nearly empty backpack she almost always had on her. Black tee, cargo jeans, and a pair of black boots, her usual stealth gear, and she slipped into shadows before making her way to the docks. As soon as she entered she could smell that there were many of their kind there and didn't expect that she would be of much help. With the invitation though she would do her best to keep calm with all the people there. Sticking to the shadows she crept around the humans and found a nice spot to sit on the pier just a few feet away from the target boat. Stealth mode activated she thought to herself.
Pi dArtois Pi stared at Madison's wraith listening to her speak, her eyebrow raised in question. "Oui... there are... quite a few vampires around isn't there." she added curiously, moving closer to Alexandrea and putting her back to the wall so she could view as much of the dock, the shadows lurking on the edges, the wash of water disguising sound. Her gaze searched the space, spotting those shew knew, trying to remember the features of those she didn't. "Alexandrea." she said finally, pulling the piece of paper out of her pocket and handing it to the beautiful blonde. "Here.. you should read this. It will explain.. I think, what those men were trying to do that night in the QZ."
Robert Pratt A very familiar and recognisable voice spoke in his ear, and Robert couldn't help the frown that formed on his face as he turned to look at Killian. Nor the fact that his arms lifted to fold across his chest as the frown grew less and less friendly. He just looked at the man, the man who'd abandoned him and ignored him, cast him aside and forgotten him like the wrapper from a fish and chips packet. And he couldn't be bothered even speaking to him. He simply nodded his head by way of recognition and kept the hurt and pain inside.
Ripper was about to say more to the female when he notices Killian approach.
Nemesis It was almost three years since her mother's murder, and the anger only felt stronger with each passing minute. Maybe it was immortality, maybe it was the rage that had rubbed off on her from her dad, Micah. Whatever it was, it felt like a living, breathing entity. A being that had to be sated.
Zen While a few others began to wander, but Zen stayed still, alone. He knew something was going on, something important. He would observe, learn, act when necessary. No need to give away his motives for now. While vampires concerned themselves with others while he might be able to focus on whatever might happen. Perhaps tip the scales.
Nemesis The emotion was more difficult to deal with on nights like this. Halloween wasn't just Zoey's favorite holiday; it was the day after her birthday. There was never a year that Lizzie didn't celebrate it with her by taking her out around the town, and one of their favorite places to visit on those nights was the docks.
Nemesis It was one of their spots, full of memories that were slowly beginning to fade from vivid flashbacks and into an almost-forgotten part of her brain. Visiting here helped them come alive again, no matter how painful.
Nemesis Zoey Jane was lulled from her thoughts by the sound of voices and laughter around her. Turning her head, she tugged a purple bud from her ear and narrowed her gaze out into the darkness, seeking out the faces of those who seemed to be congregating.
Nemesis Hesitant to do anything but stare at first, the nineteen year old shifted her weight from one foot to the other, causing the wooden dock to creak gently beneath the soles of her tennis shoes. She hadn't expected to run into any company - but then again, it was Halloween. Sort of.
Ripper *returns the Killer's silent greeting, casting around about him, he notices the increased traffic coming through
Killian gave Ripper a quick look that said they would speak in a few minutes. Then, he turned back to Robert. Killy was hard to recognize, wearing a t-shirt, jeans, biker boots, and a faded black baseball cap. It was insanely different from his usual types of attire. "Robert.. I'm sorry that I haven't been around.. things have been kind of insane lately, especially with me running Fifth.."
Pi dArtois The piece of paper was small and on it the words were simple and stark, they said that they were trying to revive Crow, that the ritual they were doing that night would have, or at least tried to revive the ancient being they all knew (but knew not at all really) as Crow. She trusted Alexandrea with it, because what else could she do? It would need more than just herself with the knowledge of what had been tried that night and maybe, if they pooled their resources, they could finally, somehow figure out why... why they would try to revive Crow and what exactly, if they could, that these humans planned to do once they had. She waited for Alexandrea to read the note and to give her thoughts on what it might mean.
Ripper though he is still unable to catch sight of the woman whose presence he scented*
Alexandrea Alex takes what P i offers and reads it quickly and then frowns and hands it back, not knowing what to think.
Madison Nodding to her wraith, Madison spoke to her quietly, "Find it Dame, it has to be somewhat near." The wraith made no more sound but Madison knew she was gone. Turning around to face Pi and Alexandrea again, the blonde opened her mouth but quickly shut it as she caught sight of someone she'd rather not see. Robert.
Oria Digging her phone out of her pocket she sent Alex a text message. -- I'm here, just a bit away from where that boat you mentioned would be docked. We'll see how long I can stick around with all these people... --
Shan Her phone buzzed obnoxiously in her pocket, and she scowled, leaning against one of the large posts of the dock, smirking as someone mentioned 'vampires' in the group that stood at the slip numbered ten. So they were of her kind, she thought. How interesting, what exactly she had stumbled on. Who knew that fishing could lead to such an interesting find. She pulled her phone from her pocket and grumbled inaudibly under her breath. Clearly her sire was busy as she shook her head unappreciatively at the text. Thumbs moved soundlessly over the screen as she texted back. Seemed she would be sticking around to find out what this group of vampires was into on this halloween night.
Blake Blake knew that keeping his presence a secret wouldn't last very long and considering that the three women he was staring at held a majority of the information he was after, it was time to make introductions. Silent step after silent step he quickly moved across the docks. He caught Madison's gaze and with a hint of a smirk he stepped into her field of vision, purposefully standing between Madison and Robert, blocking her from seeing the other Shadow. As he closed the distance he spoke softly once he was within a few feet of Madison. "Well hello there beautiful, long time no see."
Pi dArtois Pi looked over at Madison, knowing the other woman knew what was on the paper and then back to Alexandrea. "What do you think?" Her attention diverted to the phone that rang, her gaze narrowing. "How many of the people here.. are invited?" she asked, needing to know... how many were here to help and how many might turn into accidental, or incidentaly collateral damage. Her gaze, narrowed as she spotted one of her own... but one who had been disowned. She sighed, knowing that with that one addition, this night would be fraught with.... drama. She stroked the hilt of her sword, the action reactionary and ... comforting.
Robert Pratt His eyes flicked around, sure that he'd smelt Oria's perfume heading by him a few minutes before. However there was no sign of her and he puzzled that one over. However, his attention was drawn back to Killian and a loud, snorting, scoff escaped his nose and lips as the man said that he'd been busy running fifth. "Well now, that would make a change. Wouldn't it."
Alexandrea Pi. Why would humans want to bring Crow back to life? And I did not invite this many..."
Pi dArtois Pi shook her head, pitching her voice low as the male came to stand with Madison, her attention diverted. "I don't know... why would anyone try to revive the Crow? If they are humans that tried... I don't know why they ... how could it help THEM?" she answered, the emphasis on the them... as if any human who tried was cause for suspicion
Madison A small smile spread across pale lips as a familiar form blocked her view of her sire. Focusing her attention wholly on Blake she closed the distance between them some, "I'm glad you came. Especially now."
Zen Had his efforts done anything yet? Zen could not tell. Spirits were always somewhere close, he could feel it. But his rituals must have helped... if not the particular entity that the humans were interested in. Well, there would be plenty more rituals ahead. Change was inevitable. The exact form of that change was not so important to Zen.
Pi dArtois Sliding a look to Madison Pi asked silently if the woman had any thoughts on what could be happening. When Madison spoke to the male Pi nodded in greeting. "Bonjour.. " she said softly.
Madison Catching what Pi was saying, she looked at her grandsire, "That's the million dollar question Pi."
Killian blinked a few times as his ears caught Alex's words on the wind quickly. "Did I just hear that right? ******* humans want to revive that Fae piece of ****?!" Killian was making a little bit of a scene on the dock, but with the sound of boats and work going on around the harbor, it wouldn't be loud enough to garner much attention.
Nemesis 's body went stone cold when she finally picked up a familiar voice. Though she would deny the fact, it caused goosebumps to spread up her arms and a chill to climb through her spine. Partly, it made her want to vomit. Swallowing thickly, Zoey flicked the butt of a smoked cigarette into the river and bent briefly to gather a yellow backpack and sling it over one shoulder. She made her way back to the other end of the dock, and though she attempted to be as silent as possible she couldn't help the way the dock groaned beneath her feet.
Madison 'Oh for fucks sake' Madison thought to herself as she heard Killian. Did he never know how to be ******* quiet? It was eleven at night, the dock wasn't that loud at this hour.
Pi dArtois She nodded, "Oui... it is. And it's why we're here." she finished, hoping someone... anyone could have something to add that would lead them to a place they could... find it out. "This ... boat, that we think is gonig to be here.... will that, will we be able to figure out something from them?" she asked.
Alexandrea Look, if the humans THOSE kind in particular? Want CRow brought back to life? It can NOT be good for us..."
Alexandrea When it gets here, we need to sneak on board. Quietly."
Madison You're kidding right? Madison looked at Alex. "Have you looked around here? It's like a vampire reunion..."
Oria She sat there with her legs dangling over the edge of the pier near where the boat in question should come and dock, listening vaguely to the many conversations that were going on around her and picked out a specific voice in particular. Robert? Her attention turned from her phone that was still silent in her hands and she stood, going over to where he and a few others were standing around, letting the shadows slip from her before prodding the man gently in the side. "Hey, you."
Alexandrea I meant just us..."
Pi dArtois She couldn't concern herself with the others, not right now. This thing that was happening, was happening to all of them. To every vampire this thing the humans were doing was important. It didn't matter if you wanted Crow back or not, the fact anyone was trying, the fact humans were trying meant that they all had to deal with the potential that if they succeeded an ancient foe would walk again... The problem there being, who thought him foe and who thought him.... friendly. "Oui," she answered Alexandrea. "That is what I think too... but how do we.... know?"
Zen Zen found himself nodding in agreement with Alexandrea before he realized it. His positions were not the biggest secret to anyone determined to find out, but there was no need to make it easy for outsiders to grow suspicious of him.
Drusilla Dru raised an eyebrow. That was some information she didn't know. She moved closer to that group, hearing Alex's voice now but couldn't see her. "Alex?" she said. Crow back to life?
DM The boat began its approach and as it did so a few men, dressed as dock workers, approached to greet it. It was entirely possible that the men were just there to tether the boat up to the dock but then if any of those from the other night were paying attention they may have noticed that the small group of three men were all of oriental descent, just like the sorcerers they had fought and killed before.
Shan She quirked a brow. Oh, now that was way more interesting. She stared at the male who had been overly loud, and blinked. That would be something her sire would be interested in. She couldnt help the smile that spread her lips as she flashed fangs at the group. Loking down to her phone, she texted several people quickly, one of them being Zoey. She knew the woman was on the bridge, and she figured she could use the facetime if she was truly trying to get in good with Ty.
Pi dArtois Pi turned and watched the boat moar and then her gaze switched to both Alexandrea and Madison. "Is this?" she asked, leaving the question hanging.
Alexandrea Dru, I'll explain more later. Just be very quiet and try to get on the boat before anyone spots us"
Killian looked at Robert and shrugged a bit, then toward Madison, Alex, and Pi. "Do you think we should go join that litt-- Oh, Oria, hello! Long time no see. We need to have a chat to catch up soon. I'm gonna go sneak over to the girls and see if they know what's going on."
Blake Hearing the tail end of the conversation between Alexandrea and Pi he looked over at the Frenchwoman as he kissed Madison on the cheek. "The Fae are not just limited to us Ma'am. Nothing says that vampires are the only ones to have made contact with...other entities. When it arrives I suggest not rushing to action." He paused as he noticed the boat beginning to pull in. A finger went to his lips as he wrapped an arm around Madison's hip and simply began to watch the scene unfold.
Alexandrea Yes, let's try and get on board"
Robert Pratt Robert blinked at Killian's comment, having entirely missed the conversation happening elsewhere. "Wait, wait wait. Killian. What the ****? The humans want to bring back Crow? He can't be brought back - he's a figment of someone's imagination that they dreamed up to control the masses....." He didn't get much further because just then, there was Oria. He grinned happily at her appearance and wrapped his arms around her tightly. "O! Blessings of the Light be upon you, how are you dear?"
Pi dArtois Pi knew from the previous night that she needed to take her time, and this time, there would be no guns blasting. With a look to Madison she slipped over to the boat, moving silently. She leapt in an agile movement of her body landing on the prow, the front of the boat barely moving as she made her way on board. Dropping low Pi looked aft, her gaze narrowed and waited for the others to follow. Looking behind her she saw Alexandrea also board the boat and another woman she didn't recognize. Holding steady she waited for any others to join them, keeping herself low and out of sight.
Alexandrea Alex takes a deep undeeded breath and climbs aboard after winking at her friends...
Alexandrea she takes it slow must quickly finds a place to hide and wait for others to catch up to her and Pi.~
Pi dArtois She thought about pulling the shadows around her but thought better of it. The others needed to know where she was and it wasn't in her best interests to go invisible where no one could see her. Instead she waited patiently, like she had that night in the QZ. To fight too early meant you could lost the opportunity to find something interesting, hear something necessary and to alert their presence to those on board could spell… disastrous results. Crouching next to Alexandrea Pi tried to assess where they were and how many were on board, her gaze always moving, trying to pick out the shadows that were just shadows and what could be somethign... more. Nothing jumped out at her, nothing she could put her finger on and identify. Yet.
Shan Pocketing her phone, Shan nodded once as if that was good enough information for now. She could always fill in whoever got there out of the three she had texted, and silently she crept behind the group that had gathered and managed to inform her that humans were trying to raise Crow. Why the hell? They all seemed to have the right question, what on earth humans would gain from Crow being ressurected? She shook her head and silently, quietly and as stealthily as possible slid onto the boat after the others had. Crouching down and sticking to the shadows, Shan eyed the others who had gotten on the boat, and looked around trying to assess the situation.
Killian nodded to Robert and started to slip over to the ladies, when he saw them sneak onto the boat that had just pulled up to the dock. The killer instead went to a different boat and acted like he was interested in un-mooring it. He knew better than to draw too much attention to himself when there were allies of his on-board a mystery boat nearby, after all.
Alexandrea Alex quietly whispers to Pi... "can I just mind speak to you?"
Ripper *still not sure exactly what was going on, Ripper decides not to get caught up in the detail and move along with the action. After hearing the outlandish talk being spoken avout the Crow, he needed to see where this was going**
Pi dArtois Pi nodded, "Oui, but I can't... reply in my mind." she replied in a low pitched answer.
Oria Her arms wrapped around Robert and returned the hug, pressing a kiss to his cheek with a grin. "Good to see you, and you as well Killian, and I'm doing alright... despite all the people here, I'm holding together." Shrugging half-heartedly she allowed them to return their conversation, even helping them along. "So, wait, people are trying to bring Crow back? This doesn't sound like a good idea..." She watched the few people who were able to silently sneak aboard the boat in question as she spoke. If she had been paying attention properly, which was difficult to do, she may have followed. Not completely ruling this idea out, she stood there and waited, wondering what was going to happen next.
Nemesis gave a small squeak when her phone went off, quite loudly. 'The Fox' played for no more than a few seconds before she dug out the device from her back pocket and flipped it open. With a wince, she quietly hoped that the talk of the people all around was enough to drown out the sound. Violet hues made a quick pass over the text she received from Shan, and then, 'brows raised, she began to spin in a circle as if looking for someone. After a minute, she sent a text in reply. ~i'm here already? there's a lot of ppl. what's going on??~
Alexandrea That is fine. Do you know ASL?* Alex sent to Pi
Nemesis But Zoey saw perfectly what was going on when she approached the side of boat number ten. Was she supposed to get on board, with -them-? Sighing, the girl held tightly to the strap of her backpack and began to follow the other women in tow, making her footsteps as light and quick as she possibly could. Unfortunately, in trying to be speedy, the toe of her sneaker caught on the boat's ramp and she met the ground with her face. The loud 'thud' of her body and belongings slamming into the wood made the men aware of her presence.
Alexandrea Startled at the thud, Alex grabbed Pi's arm... "oh ****.." she whispered...
Pi dArtois Pi signed back yes and then also no, to indicate those being the only things she could sign and then moved her hands in directions, like those used in the military to indicate direction, stop and go watching teh woman to see if she understood.
Killian looked around quickly to see if there was anyone close. That's when he spotted Ripper, and got an idea. He called over to the man. "Yo, Jack, get your *** over here and help me un-tie this! I swear to god, I will leave your *** here and go fishing by myself if you don't pull your own weight." He hoped the man got the message, and Killian knew it was a good idea to have someone else nearby to help provide cover if things went to hell in a handbasket.
DM The attention of the small group of ‘dock workers' is caught by a ringtone going off but they were too focused on their mission to worry about it for long and quickly dismissed it as being unimportant. Then came the sound of someone falling and this did draw their attention. "Hey. Are you alright?" one of the three asked the girl.
Alexandrea Alex gave Pi and smile and nod, to sho she got it and sent to her again. *thse dudes look a lot like those others... do you know hwo that is?* ~points at Zoey~
Pi dArtois Pi signed stop and down at Alexandrea and the other woman who had made a hash of getting on board. Watching the dock hands follow the girl Pi indicated that her and Alexandrea try to move forward, indicating the front of the boat the a hard gesture of her hand and shook her head in negative at the question then signed no.
Drusilla Dru was so far behind the group, she wasn't as sneaky as her sister but she made her way onto the boat. "Alex..?" she started but put her hand over her mouth and sent a message to her mind asking where was she on the boat.
Robert Pratt Killian just.... wandered off without a word and Robert raised an eyebrow at the rude man that had changed so much in the last few months. And certainly not for the better. He looped Oria's arm into his and patted her hand gently, knowing what she was like with large crowds. He watched the direction Killian had taken and then watched as others began to climb onto the boat. He still had no idea what in the hell was going on, but the thought of people trying to raise Crow sounded ritual like in nature. And of course, this intrigued the hell out of him. He tugged on O's arm gently, indicating that perhaps they should move closer to what was going on. Just so they didn't miss out on anything.
Ripper *answering Killian's hail, Ripper pulls closer to assess the situation. A brow quirks upwards as he hears Killian's request* Untie?
Alexandrea *Dru. This way by the ropes* Alex sent back
Ripper draws a blade and slices it heavily into the knotted cords
Hour change
Nemesis , the perfect diversion. The girl blew a thick strand of hair out of her face and looked up just enough to see her cell phone, its screen cracked and badly scratched. Like most teenage girls, that was one of her first worries. When she heard an unfamiliar male voice, though, she squeezed her eyes shut and quickly tried to formulate an excuse. "I'm... I'm just a little disoriented," she stammered, whilst trying to push herself up onto her feet. "This isn't boat number fifteen, is it?" she asked, biting her lip in the most innocent way as she peered up at the man.
Blake Blake sighed softly as he looked around at this group of vampires that was supposed to be working covertly to uncover the plans of humans with, for lack of a better term, super powers. They were amateurs at best. A few were capable such as Madison and Pi and, it seemed, Alexandrea but the rest were simply...well...to be frank if Blake could have put a bullet in to each of their skulls and gotten away with it he would. This, in his opinion, was the issue with vampires. No one worked together unless each personal was personally gaining something. No one did anything for the sake of the community as a whole. It all seemed personal on every single issue. He let his thoughts wander as he too took a few steps closer to the three dockworkers. Containment was goal number one. The people on the boat could sit there forever, it wouldn't matter if they were incapable of leaving and that was exactly what Blake planned on preventing.
Pi dArtois Letting the other vampire create a distraction Pi decided. Pi crab crawled forward, not waiting for Alexandrea to follow but hoping she would. In the back of her mind she wondered where Madison was and determined to keep an eye out for her family member, not wanting to leave her behind but knowing the woman would catch up. If they needed to get into this boat then Pi needed to take advantage of the opportunity of being on the boat and as yet being unseen while there. Pushing herself over the buoyancy tanks Pi held a steadying hand on the gunwale as she crept along. The bow was at her back and she moved stern, trying to keep low. The problem with moving on a boat was the fact it was so easy to be caught out, if someone looked out the portals on the side or made a single round if anyone was on watch. You had to keep low and you had to keep moving, it would be nice if she was in Shadow and for just a moment she considered doing just that. Taking the time she tried to pull the shadows around her, looking behind her she held Alexandrea's eye, trying to convey silently what she was trying to do before making the attempt to go invisible.
DM "No. Boat 15 is over that way," a different male replied.
DM He points in the direction she should go.
Oria Leaing her head down on the mans shoulder for added comfort, but also so that she was able to whisper into his ear. "You know, I could throw you up there, and we could find out exactly what's going on... then I can jump aboard, both hidden in shadows? Sound like a plan?" She had been invited to a meeting after all, and though a meeting had happened, she didn't suspect that's what Alex had been talking about. Curiosity had taken her here, and like a cat she wanted to follow after the rest of the group.
Shan Shan had been there for a minute, trying to catch fish to fill the fishtank that Cartis had randomly handed her while in the raid a few days back. Reeling in her line at the sharp tug, she narrowed her eyes and cussed at the seaweed she had caught. "Dammit!" She snapped the fishing pole over her knee in an instant, clearly purterbed. Shaking her head she dropped the broken rod to the water and sat down in a huff, pulling out her phone to text her sire. They were whispering. And then there was Zoey, face-planting on the boats ramp. Shan facepalmed, drawing her hand down slowly which stretched the skin on her face that she was shaking idly from side to side. Wonderful
Drusilla Dru looked around, it was a boat. There were ropes everywhere. She should have brought her wraith. She carefully makes her way over to where Alex was at, letting out a sigh.
Alexandrea As soon as Dru was there, Alex grabbed her hand and folloed Pi
Killian sighed in slight exasperation as the mooring for the boat was sliced. He looked at Ripper and whispered. "We only needed to act like we were taking it out to go fishing, so that we didn't draw suspicion just standing around. I wanna find out what's going on, and provide some fire support for the girls if things get dicey. Looks like we've gotta take the boat now.. but that means we can get around to the other side of ten, and slip into the water and swim, letting this one drift if you want to try that out. It's up to you."
Nemesis frowned gently, tucking her phone into her back pocket before brushing her hands off on her jeans. After seeming to hesitate for a few moments, she gave a sheepish look. "Could you walk me to it?"
Ripper "Look, mate, I don't know what you're doing here; but what it looks as if to me is all the action is heading on that way
Ripper jerks a thumb
Robert Pratt He nodded to Oria and grinned, pointing to an open window at the end of the boat that seemed to lead inside the belly of the boat. See what I see O? Round the back? Both in shadows, my uninvited guesting, you throwing me in and then I can summon you up after me? Then we're both in and sorted. Right?"" "
Shan They were whispering. And then there was Zoey, face-planting on the boats ramp. Shan facepalmed, drawing her hand down slowly which stretched the skin on her face that she was shaking idly from side to side. Wonderful. And then the other two were on the move, and Shan followed as per the first ones militaristic commands that were silent. She knew the commands well as she had been a soldier at one point, and she blinked as her phone buzzed in her back pocket. A little late on that one Zoey, she she thought silently. She watched the man that asked Zoey if she was alright, and silently wondered what Zoey would do. Hopefully nothing too rash? She knew the woman wasnt brazen or stupid, so she trusted Zoey wouldnt be silly about the situation. She watched Pi carefully and gave the woman a swift nod as if to silently tell her she would follow her lead. After all, they all had the same agenda, right?
DM "I can't miss. Sorry. I have a job to do," with that the three men boarded the boat, as s small group of 'fishermen' cam to meet them on deck.
Ripper if you want to sail out and stick close I'm gonna take a butchers about around what's going on
Oria A devilish grin spread across her features as she pictured his idea going down without a hitch, but knowing that there would probably be at least one or two of those. "I'm game when you are!"
Killian Mate, I'm Irish, not Cockney. I haven't the slightest what the **** you just said.
Drusilla "Eek.." Dru squeaked when she was grabbed. "Where we going?" she asked softly.
Madison Madison sat back with Blake, watching all that was going on. She knew she wouldn't be able to get down below without being invited so instead she spoke telepathically to her wraith, "Dame, the boat is here, I need you to go on deck and watch what's going on for me." To Pi, she said, "Pi, I'm staying on the dock but Dame will be coming with you."
DM There were now 6 men on the deck in total and they were seemed to be facing one another off. They all looked around suspiciously and came closer together. They stood either side of a table and began speaking in hushed tones.
Nemesis gave a huff and placed both hands on her hips. "Well fine, then," she muttered beneath her breath. Zoey slowly spun back around to the way she'd came, digging her phone back out and wiping dirt from its screen. "Oh, man..." The screen was salvaged just enough that she could make do. Pulling the text message from Shan back up, she tapped out a short text. ~didn't make it.~
Pi dArtois Pi tried but Shadow powers weren't her thing, they weren't her normal path and with a frustrated growl she knew she didn't succeed in pulling the powers around her. With a sigh that meant she needed to move forward, fully visible and realised that this, was not going to go easily. But when did it ever. Waiting for Alexandrea Pi kept moving forward. IT seemed like they were working together and Pi breathed a sigh of relief, between the woman and her boat 15 and the two men who were arguing about what to do (easily picked up with her vampiric hearing) she hoped that they would cause enough diversion to let both her and Alexandrea in. She waited for the woman, looking behind her to see where she was and what she was going to do then spotted the other two women who came after and gave them a nod too. They would move together all of them and seeing how she seemed to be in the front Pi made the move forward again, trying to stay small, trying to keep her movements tight and controlled. Rounding the boom
she peeked around the cockpit checking to see what was there.
Pi dArtois Pi nodded as Madison spoke into her head, hoping the woman saw, but not sure if she did. Instead she held her breath at the sight of the six men, counting them off with a sigh. Sneaking, might not be an option but they had to try. She looked behind her and indicated a hard down signal to the other woman, waiting for their agreement before trying.
Alexandrea *Just wait and watch* Alex sent to Dru and moved with Pi as quietly as she could~
Ripper just heave to and sail casual, but don't look like you're trying to sail casual
Madison Upon getting Madison's message, Dame hurried back to the docks from over the water. Quickly she found the boat and circled it, watching the vampires move forward she decided to sneak up on the men who were talking in attempts to hear what they were saying.
Pi dArtois Pi waited for a signal from the other two women before trying to curl her way around the men standing, all six of them. They needed to do this together and move as a team and that meant Pi had to be sure they were with them, looking behind Alexandrea Pi raised her eye brow in question. Nodding to them, an emphatic gesture of go or no go.
Shan Zoey had tried her best to lengthen her distraction, and it worked. The group had successly made it silently onboard, and without being seen. Her phone buzzed off again, and she clenched her jaw. Pulling it from her pocket she typed the fastest text she could to Zoey and tucked her phone back into her pocket. Coming up behind Pi she blinked at the six men talking in hushed tones. If only she could get closer. She noded at Pi but wasnt sure if she would be able to get below deck or not - either way she was happy with where she was. She would find out something tonight of use, she was determined to.
Alexandrea Alex nodded to Pi and sent to Dru. *Move when we do*
DM The men began talking about payments and a delivery; both sides assessing if the other had what they had come for and neither wishing to go first and reveal such important information. Eventually a compromise was reached and 2 men from each group stood back from the table, leaving the ‘leaders' to broker the trade like gentlemen.
Drusilla Dru nodded, and waited for the time to move.
Madison Dame stayed close to the two men at the table, wanting to hear what would be said. Looking up she tried to see where the vampires were, hoping they wouldn't pick now to launch an ambush without knowing what was going on.
Nemesis Stay put for -what-, she whispered to herself. The girl peered around and, not seeing anyone that was of particular importance, she moved to sit beside on of the empty boats and light a cigarette to pass time.
Shan The henchmen stepped back from the table and Shan made note of who the leaders were. She would stalk them to the ends of the earth if she had to in order to figure out exactly what was going on. They were outnumbered, sure, but they were also vamps and there were mere humans, right? She had no idea though what she was really up against, and decided not to jump to any conclusions.
Ripper using his abilities to stow away unseen, Ripper circumnavigates the talking men while they complete the negotiations.
Killian nodded, then hopped onto the boat that he and Ripper were standing next to. He then held out his hand, like he was waiting for Ripper to get onto the vessel as well. At the same moment, the Irish killer removed his phone and sent out a quick text to two of his contacts. Madison and Robert. The same message to both: 'Game plan?'
Robert Pratt He nodded his head and waited for Oria to throw him. He felt her hands on him as she picked him up - surprising for someone of her size - and then he was flying through the air. However, he was off target and she'd not thrown him towards the window... instead, he was aimed at the side of the boat - where he splatted like a fly on a windshield, slipped down the side, and splashed into the water.
Pi dArtois Getting assent from all Pi listened, so close to one of the men she felt like she could just reach out and touch them. But she wasn't, it just felt like that, like days of old when andrenalin spiked as danger moved just out of reach, the status quo balancing on a knife edge. As quietly, as stealthily as possible Pi slid around the edge, trying, trying very very hard and very very slowly to not garner attention. Pulling up short Pi looked behind her at the words of the men now wondering if they should stay and listen, a moment of indecision saw her attention waver. But they had come this far and they were vampires. Setting aside indecision the continued, she wanted below and inside the boat.
Madison Her phone vibrated in her pocket and Madison quieted it quickly before pulling it out. Instead of replying via text in case he hadn't shut off his ringtone, she replied via mind speak, "My wraith is on board, I'm still on the docks."
Nemesis jumped at the sound of a thud, much like her own impact but... somehow different. She turned halfway to see where the commotion was coming from, but only saw ripples in the water where Robert's body fell in. "Huh."
Alexandrea Alexandrea waited to get a signal from Pi but also kept her attention on the men, watching to see if they noticed anything and hoping to overhear something~
Killian blinked as he saw Ripper walk away from the random boat, then shrugged once... and caught Robert's face-planting act. Killian knew the man's phone would be ruined, so he decided to start the small boat he was on and go in for a pick-up operation. He got Madi's reply, then sent one of his own. 'Alright. If you can, let Alex and Pi know that I can be ready for ex-fil if they need it.'
DM The dockworker pulled out a phone and began tapping away. He was queuing up a wire transfer as agreed, while the other guy produced a pouch from his left inside pocket. Both placed their items on the table at the same time and slid them across to one another. The fisherman who was obviously a smuggler on the side, pressed to activate the transfer while the dockworker, opened and closed the pouch without showing what was inside.
Alexandrea Alex was thief by nature... she saw that pouch and wanted it. If only she had a hide in shadows.... she didn't know what was inside. Just that she wanted it.~
Pi dArtois More things on the table, more items that looked like they were important but Pi had no idea what they were. Pi stopped short, pulling up and looked behind her quickly, motioning towards the table. Motioning Alexandrea forward she nodded towards the table and what lay there. She signed the word ‘yes' hoping Alexandrea knew what she was talking about.
Madison Another text from Killian. Madison focused in on Alex and spoke softly within her head, "Killian said he is ready if you guys need him."
Alexandrea Alex tilted her head to the side. Was Pi telling her to take the pouch? Hmm... it was tempting. Could she do it?
Shan was curious. She eyed the transaction, then eyed the pouch. She wanted to know what was in the pouch. What could possibly be worth all this..... effort. She chewed on her lip, not really wanting to go below now. She wanted that item. But how was she going to get it? Eyes looked wide at Pi, then the other woman. She nodded at Pi. She wanted that item. She indicated a fist against a splayed hand, surely they could take them, if they stealthily took out the four guards first?
DM With a handshake the deal was done. The smuggler handed the phone back to the dockworker and nodded for his men to follow. With that they disappeared down below, leaving the three oriental gentlemen to make their way off of the boat.
Ripper *trying to find an out-of-the-way crate, the killer uses the blade of his knife to attempt to pry away at a wooden slat to peek at what's inside*
Madison Dame followed the men quickly down below, not wanting to miss a moment of anything they may talk about.
