He had just come back from a night out on the town when one of his employees stopped him. Some woman he hired after the girl he hired about half a year ago wound up vanishing without a trace. When she stopped coming around, the male had no choice but to fire her and find a replacement as soon as he could. This one, this Tracey was a nice enough girl, smart, and quick on her feet. She had surpassed the young college woman weeks into her training and soon, the woman that had vanished without a trace had been long forgotten. College kids always found something better, something closer to home or the campus, or just got bored with working. Thankfully his businesses were far enough away from the campus, so he didn't have a revolving door with any of his enterprises.

"I found something in the corner of one of the theatres." She started out and Enver groaned. If he had termites or something like that, it was going to be costly. "I'll get an exterminator out here tomorrow." Enver kept on walking, assured with himself that that was his problem. Something so easy to fix with just a simple call or two and life could go on again.

"No, I found something else. I think someone left a cell phone here, but then when I was trying to see if I could find a number to call someone or something...I found out it wasn't really a phone. I'm sorry, I hope I didn't break any company policy-"
Enver's brows knit together before he took the phone device and looked it over, thus making Tracey stop talking as she watched him and waited to hear if she'd done something wrong. "Which theatre and what did you find?" Enver looked between the three possibilities, then back at Tracey. "That one over there." She pointed to his right and without waiting another second, Enver was off to see if there was something else that shouldn't be there.

His search didn't reveal anything, but while he searched, Tracey told him what she had seen when she was scrolling through the phone. It appeared it wasn't a phone at all, but some sort of recording device. Enver was being watched. Why was he being watched? He left Tytonidae alone for the most part. He didn't have a bounty and was being a "good boy," as he liked to joke around, so who would be watching him?

He didn't know, but it didn't take long for the paranoid, Hollywood vampire to let his imagination run wild. Someone was spying on him. He doubted it was Tytonidae or any other vampire group, so that meant it had to be humans. Why were humans spying on him? Maybe it was those Paladins. They might have learned the truth about him. That he was two-timing then back when Ezequiel was running things. He shook his head, not sure that was possible either. He had only dealt with Ezequiel in a few emails and doubted the guy had time to tell anyone about him before he was killed; which was good for Enver.

No. It wasn't Tytonidae or the Paladins. There were spies in Canada. Or maybe terrorists. Movie theatres held a lot of people in them, which would be a great place to do some real damage. He grabbed his cellular device and made a post on the Crownet, in case he was still being watched, letting the community know and possibly believe that he was pointing fingers at someone in the vampire community. That would throw them off his trail if they were watching him, just long enough for him to get the police to deal with the spy cam.

There.

She thought quietly as she eyed the device and carefully lifted her hand to carefully study her ruined manicure with a faint sigh escaping past her lips – she had liked the bloody design that she had done for the month of October. Chipping off the remainder of paint, Every stood up front where she sat in front of her couch on one of the floor pillows that Velveteen had bought her. Once the paint was removed, she set her hands on the small of her back and chewed on her bottom lip in thought. Where to place it?

Her blueprints called it a ‘Crow’s Eye’, the description explaining that it’d connect to CrowNet. Logically, she’d place it somewhere for a masquerade violation to take place... her hazel gaze fell upon a cross-eyed owl sitting on her entertainment center. Pursing her lips together, Every moved to the stuffed animal and picked up with two fingers as she inclined her head in consideration. Reading the card over once more, she smirked a bit before looking back down at the gift.

“Well, derp-owl. You just answered my question.” With a soft chuckle escaping past her lips, Every went to change into a simple, faded and ripped blue jeans and her favorite black tee, gathering the extra material that hung around her slender form to be tucked into the left-side of her waistband. Sliding a hunting knife into her boot, she then moved her pant leg over to hide the handle. “Off to the theater, we go.”

Picking up the device, Every removed a silk hanky from her pile of ritual items and wiped it down to remove any trace of fingerprints, wrapping it up a few moments later before tucking it into the pocket of her denim jacket. Tucking her combat pistol into her messenger bag, she collected her keys and wallet off of the coffee table before heading to the elevator as she slipped into shadows.

-----

Once the device was carefully tucked away and away from the eyes of the public, Every debated on attaching it to one of the underside of a chair until when she knelt down and went to look underneath one, her hand connected with something warm and sticky. Making a disgusted face, she straightened up and gagged a bit at the sight of freshly disposed chewing gum where her hand had been and wiped her hand down, going back to do the same once more to the device to make sure she wouldn’t leave any traces.

Checking her watch, the small brunette gave a silent hum before she left the device where she’d planted it and headed off to Masterpiece, not wanting to be late for work or miss any errands that her sire would ask her to run. It was always fun to mess with those that she didn’t like, and the fact that she had a new gadget to test out made it have even more of an amusement factor.

Robert was sitting in his office and getting frustrated with the paperwork that had piled up, with requests for funding, requests for places to stay, hate mail and of course all of the usual government paperwork associated with the classes he ran and the fact Solace was a charity. It was all just too much, and he wondered why he'd agreed to give Belle the whole month off for the family weddings, birthdays and holiday. There were papers everywhere on his desk and on the floor around the desk too. The little hair he had was all stuck up on end from where his fingers had run through it so often, as he stared at the papers and filled out the info that each one asked for.

The screams echoed through the building and made him stand up with a fright, his seat falling backwards and the papers flew everywhere. He rolled his eyes and swept the rest of the papers from the desk, just for the hell of it and to make himself feel better. Then he was out of the door and round the corner, heading for where the screams were still coming from. Past the stairs, around the ritual room, down past the computer lab and finally around the corner by the crafting room and he saw such a commotion down the hall from him. There were women out in the hallway screaming and pointing, half naked and wearing only a towel, or in various states of undress.

Quickly he hurried down the corridor, hands up in a placating manner and a genuine look of complete concern on his face.

"Hey, Ladies, Ladies. Whatever's the matter? Please, calm yourselves."

He turned and found a member of staff and smiled, beckoning her over.

"Talia, do me a favour, go and get some blankets to cover the Ladies up for me!"

He watched as she ran off to the store cupboards and was back within seconds. She handed them out to each woman as they explained what had happened.

"We were in there showering. Right Rhonda?"
"Right Betty!"
"Well, we were there and they were there, and some were showering from the gym or the pool."
"Yeh, we had been working out and changing after."
"I was getting ready for a swim!"
"Anyways, that lady"
"Yeh, me"
"She saw this little flashing red light in the corner."
"Yeh, I did"
"And I went and had a look, and...."
"THERE'S A CAMERA!"
"Yes! And it's filming us getting changed!"

The six women were a little hard to follow as they butted in one over the other as they all told the story of what exactly had happened. However he got the whole idea in that there was basically a camera in the Ladies changing room. His hand lifted and pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, apologising profusely as he did.

"Ladies, I assure you that I will look into this for you and will ensure to the best of my ability that something like this never happens again. Talia, would you please retrieve these Ladies clothes for me and then take them through to my office to get changed. Give them all tea, coffee, hot chocolate - whatever they want, while I deal with this."

He waited for them all to leave, nodding his head and continuing to apologise until they were out of earshot and finally eyesight. Then he himself went into the empty changing room and looked around for the little device they'd told him about. It didn't take long for him to spot it up in a corner, on top of the lockers and looking down. He shook his head and went to remove it, but he couldn't work out which wires were for what and was worried that it would perhaps explode should he try and remove it himself - as he knew some rigged cameras would. He needed someone who knew what they were doing and Serendipity came to mind. He grinned, thought of her here, beside him and then formed her and made her real - his way of summoning.

"Hey, Serry."

He chuckled as he looked down at her from where he stood on a bench.

"Think you can give me a hand here and get this thing..... whatever it is..... down? I don't want it to blow up, hell, I don't even know if the damn thing is equipped to blow up. But it's caused quite a stir already and I'd rather not have anymroe incidents. Seen one before? Know what it is?"

He stepped down from the bench and embraced her tightly, waiting for her reply.

Serendipity was sitting at her crafting bench trolling trap after trap out. That was pretty much all she did these days. She made traps, cameras and anything cose to the sort. All day, everyday. That was, unless she was breaking into random buildings and stealing anything that wasnt nailed down. It had become so rountine now, it was beginning to get a tad boring.

At that moment in time, however, she was fighting a bit with a shock cage trap, as they called it. She loved them.... and so did Momento. Momento loved them and Seren loved the challenge of making them so that worked out perfectly. Momento, sadly, was in the shadow realm as of late and Seren had begun to get terribly worried that she wasnt going to find her way out. Still, she made the traps in hope that her friend would resurface soon.

She had just come to the difficult part of the trap when all of the sudden she began to feel the pull of the summon. "No no no...." She said before she had vanished from her home and reappeard in front of Robert in some random place she had not been nor seen before. Eyes cast around before she heard that all too familiar voice and looked up.

"Pratt..... I should have known it was you." She commented and then chuckled. She listened to his words before she hugged him close speaking. "Im not your personal bomb and camera disposal service, you know." She teased and then shook her head. She looked up at the camera and narrowed her eyes a bit. "Alright..... lemme take a look see here." She said, stepping up on the bench as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a ponytail holder. Hair up and out of her face now, she proceeded to look at the camera and smirked. "Kinda a shitty job if you ask me." She said and then reached behind it, made a few adjustments to get where she needed to be and then.... SNAP. The wire was loose and the camera was disabled.

Seren got down, camera in hand and handed it over to him and smiled* "Sell it. Nothing you can do with it now, dear." She commented and then kissed his cheek softly. "Anything else? I was working, you know." She said with a gentle chuckle as she looked to him, wiating.

"What do you mean you're not my personal bomb disposal expert?"

He said in a lighthearted manner as he watched her climb up to get to the little flashy camera thing.

"Who else am I going to call? Hmmm?"

He grinned, watching her in fascination while having not a clue what it was she was doing. He turned the item over in his hands as she stepped down and gave it to him. It didn't look like any camera he'd ever seen before. She'd never made him anything like this, nor had he seen it around the city in his wanderings before. He looked back up to her, the confusion clear on his face.

"What is it though? I mean.... it doesn't look like a normal camera at all. The way you're talking - about it being a shitty job and all - sounds like you've seen one of these things before?"

He looked down at the thing in his hands and then back to her. He pulled out his phone and snapped a pic of it, texting it to Enver, Lizzie, Oria, Alexandrea and Liam to ask them if they'd ever seen one before. Normally, he would have included Killian in that list, but the man hadn't spoken to him in months - even when he'd left fifth. So he tried not to think about it or him at all.

"Hey folks. Ever seen one of these before? Robert. X"

"You, Sir, can call Oria and you know it. You seem to be close to her wiht how you got in my face over here a couple of weeks ago."She teased, remembering the incident all too well. Seren and Robert had gotten into plenty of fights but usually, they ended with her mad and him just shaking his heada and wandering off. This time, it was the other way 'round. That made her remember it much more due to the nature of the fight. It was still fresh in her mind, like an open wound.

Seren chuckled a bit as she watched him, so curiously, flip the little camera over and over to examine it. She had to admit, she was also curious about it, but, she found the best way to even try to understand something was to build one. This, she had not built yet. She had, however, studied the plans for it. Blueprints were something she loved so much. She could tell a lot about something from its blueprint, but not everything. "Ive seen the plans for it but, Ive not seen one in person as of yet. Its called a Crows eye. Basically, if I understand correctly, everything its captured has somehow been feed directly to Crow.

She shrugged it off and then smiled to him. "You dont do anything wrong here so, there is no worry." She commented as she watched him snap the picture and send it off to whoever he had sent it to. She them spoke once again, knowing she probably wasnt much help in that was all the information she had obtained about the thing and in truth, she wasnt really even sure it was correct. "Better assk others and get their information too. I dont even know if im right or merely talking out of my ***. I do that sometimes but i swear, I always think I remember something which is why I say it. Sometimes, its just my brain being a stupid idiot though." She gave another shrug towads him and chuckled. "If Im wrong, you can beat me up later."

Truth was, the only logical explanation was there were terrorists in Canada. Maybe Canada was seen as a country that was too damn nice, or they had pissed someone off, but there had to be terrorists. The guy literally did nothing but run his businesses all day, so it didn't make any sense why someone was watching him. No, they were watching the numbers of people that came in and out of this theatre. He'd never seen anything like it before in the stores back in the day when he used to craft things, so it had to be foreign.

Who would want to piss off Canada by spying on them? Why would they want to piss off Canada and what would they have to gain by pissing Canada off? Enver stopped thinking on these things, because no matter how hard he tried to think on it, he was coming up with nothing. Maybe it was because he wasn't a terrorist, or that crazy enough to kill people.

He was just about to pocket his phone in the middle of his pacing routine when his blackberry buzzed in his hands. He looked down at the screen and saw his phone was getting a picture from Pratt. Enver looked around the theater, seeing if someone in there was watching him, then made a quick dash to the front door and out of his building to open the picture text.

He couldn't believe it!
There was his spy cam, only Robert Pratt had the same damn spy cam! Robert was a target in some way or another and Enver felt a small burst of rage build up inside of him as his free hand clenched together. He only knew of one place Robert owned and that was Solace. A very public place. He might not be a part of Solace anymore because Eskoph had picked him to pass along his wisdom, but the fact someone put something like that in a public place to watch whatever on people who were too busy worshiping some woman, didn't sit right with Enver. All the places that had these things in them so far seemed to be places where there really wasn't a whole lot of anything going on. No illegal activities, but most of all, no violence.

He hit the reply option and typed out a message. Yeah, I know of it. One was found in my theatre tonight. Solace got hit too? Enver hit send, looked at his device, then made his move. He was going the Bullwood area and making a stop at the cop shop.

"Mmm Hmm. I can."

He nodded his head and smirked.

"But I'd rather see you sometimes. Any excuse, you know?"

He chuckled, sitting down on a bench and pulling her down too. They couldn't leave as everyone knew he was in there alone - supposedly. Yes they might have known about vampires, mostly, but he wasn't revealing Serry to be one without her permission. So they were kinda stuck for now.

"And yes we're close, I love her like a sister. And that's just how I see her and she sees me. Like a little sister and a big brother. And yeh, damn right I got in your face. Cause no-one touches her, or else! And that's the end of it."

He frowned, having gotten himself into a bad mood now. He stayed quiet for a moment, thinking about what she'd said about being able to make it. So, it was a Crow Eye was it - and it fed images directly to the elder masquerading behind the name of Crow. Interesting. His phone beeped as a message came through and he pulled it out, reading it over. So, Enver had got one too had he? Interesting. Quickly he replied with the information he'd gotten from Serry.

"Yeh, found one in the ladies changing rooms of Solace, right by the pool. I asked the one who removed it for me - apparently it's a Crow Eye. It feeds info right back to whoever is behind the whole Crow thing, tells them who's doing what and where so that you get bigger bounties and ****. What are you doing with yours?"

He read it over and then hit send, looking back to her and thinking about what she'd said about beating her up. He'd never hit her in anger, or anything like that. He hated violence, though was beginning to see that in some cases it was a necessary evil. However, with her.... how could he ever do that? He was still irritated by her reminding him of what she'd threatened to do to Oria - but he still leant in and kissed her lips in a long, slow, sensual kiss. Part by way of thanks, and part by way of ridding his irritation from his mind.

To his words, Seren gave a soft chuckle and then nodded her head. "Yea well, I hardly think you need excuse. The truth is always more acceptable, dont you think?" She asked as she took a seat upon the bench, having been pulled down by him. Chocolate orbs stared over at him and as he began to speak about Oria and the incident, she perked a brow and shook her head. He wanted to get all pissy with her again, did he?

A soft growl in warning left her but she said nothing. Anything else wass going to fuel the fire and they fought enough. She had to fight every instinct, as it was, to hit her celerity and leave, going anywhere but there. She wass irritated with him now. Again. As usual. Her thoughts, however, were pushed aside when his phone went off. She tilted her head and looked over as he sent his reply. "Anything wrong?" She questioned in a soft tone now, afraid to make him madder.

A sigh left her lips as she waited for him to answer. An answer came, but not in the form she had been expecting. As usual with Robert. His lips pressed to hers in a sweet sensual and soft way. Her mind began to unravel a bit. She was still irritated. Concerned. Confused and now, partly in another world. Her lips pressed back against his as they sat there, on the bench. A part of her mind was yelling because of where they were, so public. Another part was continuing the always onoo going fight of whos lips those were against hers while another was just telling the other two to shut up. Her brain continued to fight, her lips continued to move. It wass already clear which part had won and yet, the fight, as always, raged on.

by Every
When her errands and business portion of her job done early, Every found herself free to do what she wanted – at least with limits, knowing that an offender could pop up any time throughout the day – and decided to make a few more devices, sitting cross legged on the dirt within the gated portion of The Eyrie. Her rental car, a 2012 Nissan Maxima, sat parked just outside and out of her way with its trunk open so she could just set them in the back for easy access later. When she ran out of electronic cellphones, she had two crow eyes and a few poison traps. Picking up them up, Every tossed the traps into the back underneath a tarp only to squeak when she felt one of the pieces of metal pinch the side of her finger.

“Well, screw you too.” She mumbled underneath her breath and then slammed the trunk shut, heading to the elevator that would bring her to the upper floors. Removing her cellphone from her pocket, Every began to scroll through CrowNet quietly while she waited, her fingertips moving automatically to the buttons where she pressed ‘F2’ so the doors would shut. Every’s eyebrow lifted as she paused at the word ‘Confiscation’ and found it was one of Enver’s posts. Skimming over it, she rolled her eyes, “As if I’m stupid enough to leave fingerprints.” She muttered to herself, but then gave a shake of her head idly. They wouldn’t get the time to process it but first...

Removing her tome from her pocket, Every returned herself to the bottom floor and headed back out to her car, collecting the Crow’s eye and tucked it into her bag before making her way off to where she’d seen a few gangsters lurking about in Cherrydale by the transit. Watching a man with close cropped hair lean into a wall, she made her way in his direction and watched as she caught his attention – more so, her bag caught his attention and as she lowered the security level around them, she let her hand fall to the knife concealed just beneath the hem of her shirt. She had a few plans up her sleeve and with a silent snicker as the gangster moved, she reacted.

Her knife connected with his throat, gray eyes widening in disbelief as the blade went through his flesh and she stepped back to avoid getting any of the blood spray on her clothing. Still, it managed to soak into her bag and she crinkled her nose at the sight while making a mental note to leave it outside. She had ears in there, anyway. Kneeling down beside the man as she listened to his heartbeat slow, Every grabbed him by the ankle and rolled him onto his back to contain the blood the best she could, dragging him into a nearby alley. It had become second nature, removing the Glock from his belt and tucking it into the waistband of her jeans before she took out the device.

Every began wiping away her fingerprints and then pulling her sleeve down to prevent any more, she grabbed one of the man’s hands, purposely smearing whatever of his would be there before straightening out and nudging his body down a nearby sewer entrance. “And, to the police station I go.” She muttered to herself and straightened up, listening as the body landed with a crack of breaking bones before she headed to the transit, still using her sleeve to hold the device in clear view as she stepped on board.
