: Kiss or Kill : Halloween Horrors Event!

What possessed the male to do something like this was unknown. He had heard there'd be something going on around Halloween and in good humor, the male tossed his hat in to the ring. For a good cause and all that. Or so he hoped. Enver didn't really bother with the finer details. If something popped in to his mind, he'd send Hannah to sort it out for him. He had nothing to lose and nothing to win either. Just some good, light-hearted fun that he wouldn't have been able to do if life hadn't taken the turn it had.

He showed up a few minutes early, Hannah carrying the sign he had someone make for the event for his booth. His attire was casual, more casual than it had ever been, consisting of a charcoal colored T-shirt, black jeans and sneakers. He pulled his sunglasses off as soon as he entered the building and looked around the place, taking in the decor before he spoke. "I think we're that way." Enver looked at the booth listing, flipped the paper around and around until he confused himself. "Space eleven. It's over there." Hannah pointed to the opposite side of the room, while Enver just nodded his head. "Like I said. That way." He changed the direction his finger pointed at and made a beeline for his booth.

"Look at that. A giant wheel. Should we test it out?" Enver waggled his brows at Hannah, before he dismissed the idea with a chuckle, the poor blond haired woman struggling with the giant sign. It took him a few seconds to notice, because Enver was busy tweeting on his phone to his PR rep about the event he was doing and making sure she found someone to take some pics of him at the event. It had been her idea and since she was still heavily invested in his career that was almost non-existent, Enver decided to amuse the woman. "Let me help you with that." Enver grabbed for the sign just at the moment Hannah had it on the easel and nodded his head. "Looks good. Have fun Hannah. Thanks." Enver saluted her, replied back to his PR rep, sat in a chair behind the booth and kicked his feet up and waited for the fun to begin.

Well, crap! Charlie thought to herself as she started to make her way out of the building she was currently in, and shouldn't have been in. As she was reminded as the alarm sounded in the background. It was time to get out, and time to get out fast. It seemed these days that the cops were on point more often than not and it was annoying the hell out of her. Still, she didn't say anything. She couldn't, there was a guard walking around. She waited and waited until finally she saw her perfect time to get to the main door and get the hell out of that building. It was always hard to explain why she was in there wearing a tight black catsuit and carrying around a bag full of merchandise. Stolen merchandise.

She stopped and took a breath as she got outside. However, the sound of sirens in the distance only served to annoy her. Seriously? Couldn't she ever catch a break tonight? Then she looked over and saw where she was next to. The Necropolis, ah no better alibi than a nightclub like that one. Charlie smiled and hauled *** into the building. When she took a look around she noticed that it wasn't the same as the first few times she had been there. It looked like they were setting up for something. A party perhaps. She had heard that there was a party for the DoD girls, or at least, it was in discussion. It seemed that it wouldn't be the only party going on. There really wasn't took much but when she looked over the room there was one thing she noticed. A giant wheel that was set up next to one booth.

Casually, she made her way over to the booth to read the sign that was posted, not even really noticing the guy that was sitting behind the booth at first because she was looking over the sign and the wheel. Charlie couldn't help but snort a little at the idea of getting hit with a toy. It reminded her of the parties she used to have when she was a girl, when she and her few friends would take shots at each other with rubber band and potato guns. The later being the more fun because it didn't leave small welts on the skin like the rubber bands did. Finally, she looked over the male, giving him a once over. She had to stop and think about this one. Would Mitchell be mad? She could use the money and 'kiss' was a one in twenty chance. "Hmmm..." She voiced aloud but was still pretty quiet about it as she thought it over.

By the time his first "customer" had come by, Enver had gotten around to getting the rest of the things set up. No more was he relaxed, with his feet kicked up, but sitting there in a half-way presentable nature, his Blackberry on the table as he did a few details for his current investment of helping those who wanted to make it on stage, but not necessarily the big stage of movies, get their chances. He had hired an acting coach, a dance instructor and even a singing instructor, in hopes of putting on something half way presentable with all the talent that was oozing from some of these women. With the contracts signed, Enver sent the files to Hannah to have her start a paper filing system (because he preferred it over the computerized ones), and waited.

On the table were business cards he had made up for Amaranthia's ritual service, should anyone win that prize. Next to that were an assortment of toy weapons; an over-sized plastic mallet, a wooden sword, nerf gun, paintball gun (because he was such a good sport), a kid's bow and arrow with sticky arrows, and even a small pillow for the more tame at heart. When the woman stopped by his booth and mulled around, Enver swiped his phone up and put it in his pocket, before standing. "Evening. Try your luck tonight?" He spoke after a quick clearing of his voice. "Just ten bucks a try and you could walk away with fifty or five hundred times that. At the very least, you're guaranteed to walk away with a smile on your face." It was a big claim, maybe, but Enver sure would try.

Charlie arched a brow as she watched the guy before her pick up his cell phone. Did she look like a common pickpocket? Well she did do that sometimes, it was good to try different things. Still, she couldn't help but smirk as she looked over all of the toy weapons. Her chocolate eyes locked on the guy as he spoke to her, one delicate brow lifting as he said she might leave with a smile on her face. She gave him a saucy smirk "Oh honey, whose to say it won't be you with the smile on your face."

Then, with a simple blink of an eye she turned serious, "I'll leave with a smile no matter what, looking at my chances." She said as she nodded to the wheel and then smirked again, "But if you really want to know what would make me smile, winning that five k, so yeah, I think I will try my luck." She said with a smirk and a purr before she reached into her bag and plucked a wallet from it. Whose it was, she didn't know and she really didn't care. She had picked it up on her way to one of the many places she had been 'walking' through.

Charlie pulled out a ten dollar bill and held it out to the man. "Let's see what this gets me." Then she glanced at the wheel. "How many times can we play?" She asked as she turned her eyes on the male again.

The corners of the male's lips quirked up into a large and amused smile. The woman before him had quite the spunky mouth about her. Either she was giving him a hard time, or she had confidence in herself. Enver didn't care to rationalize it for too long, he just chalked it all up as an amusing characteristic about the woman. "Who knows?" Is all he replied with, before his eyes wandered around the large room, wondering how the other booths were fairing tonight.

Her next few words had him nodding his head. Her odds were pretty good, with the way the powers that be made the format on the wheel. Hell, he'd even risk kissing some stranger (male or female) for these odds. She went on with his idea that he kept to himself, and pulled out some wallet. Enver didn't take a second glance at the wallet, knowing some women carried a version of a wallet, so he thought nothing of it. When she took out a ten dollar bill, Enver moved aside and out of the way of the wheel. At her question, he felt his corners tug in to a smirk. "One shots all you got, so better make it count." He took the ten dollars and put it in an empty jar (for now) and let the woman work her magic while he pulled out his Blackberry and tweeted about what a great time he was having at his booth in the Necropolis in Harper Rock, Canada, in an attempt to draw a bigger crowd for the night.

Charlie arched her brow as he took the money from her. Well that kind of sucked, as it was she had enough money to play this game a few times, but she only had one shot. Make it count. That is what she planned to do. With a wink to the male, she stepped up to the wheel, staring at it for a moment as if it were a deck of cards she could count. Never did she wish more that someone had been here when she got here to show her how that wheel acted to a spin. Her eyes darted around the wheel for a moment later, not for seeing again what each part of the wheel said, because she had memorized it the moment that she looked at it, but was seeing in the back of her mind what all the outcomes would be.

Finally, she took a step closer, placed her hand on the wheel and gave if a hard spin, the clicking as fast as the heartbeat of a hummingbird's at first then slowly slowing slower and slower. As she watched it spin she began to calculate all the places that the needle would catch at. So far it was looking good and then it stopped and she smiled, it wasn't the five thousand that she wanted, on the bright side though it was four hundred and ninety bucks more than she had before the game.

She turned sharply and looked at the male. "Damn, I was rather looking forward to shooting you with a nerf gun." The corners of her lips twitching upwards as she moved over to the table and leaned against it, "The money works though." She said with a laugh, the sound dancing on the air.

Enver watched the wheel spin, not really caring where it landed. If it was cash, he had more than enough of that. Hitting him? He could deal with it. Hitting her? He'd make light of it and hit her just as lightly. Kissing her? Well, he had a back up plan for that too. The game was for spirit and he had lots of it, surprisingly.

The male didn't know how the ends would roll in her favor or his, but as the wheel slowed, he found himself inching closer to where it was to make sure he saw where it landed and what it was he'd be giving her. Money. That he could work with. At what he perceived as a cocky remark, Enver laughed and then shot the woman a wink. "Well, with an extra four hundred and some odd dollars in your pocket, you could buy one and wait for me after I'm done working the booth?" Women hitting Enver wasn't really a new thing and quite frankly, he found each attack on him laughable these nights. Vampires were somewhat disappointing. All the possibilities and possibilities and somehow, all of them seemed pissed off about something or another.

"I'm Enver." He finally extended a hand in a greeting so that he could catch her name, see if he'd heard of her from a friend of a friend, or maybe, just maybe she was a vampire too. It seemed everyone he ran in to was something special. Vampire, blood thief, paladin, who knew what else would be around in the city as time went on? While his one hand was working on a greeting, the other was pulling out his wallet and giving the woman her winnings. "Congratulations on the spin."

Charlie gave a smirk and shook her head ever so slightly as the male winked and hinted that she should by a toy weapon and shoot him with that. As cute an idea as it was, she wasn't in the mood to spend the money she had just won on something as silly as a nerf gun. Though, if she stopped to think about it, it was probably a good idea too because she was in serious need of some target practice. She would have to talk to Killian, see if he would be willing to take her to a gun range or somewhere to help her do some target practice. Provided she hadn't tired herself out with all of her thieving, or forgot the night with all of her hacking that she did.

As Enver offered his name and his hand, she smiled politely and took his hand, shaking it as she spoke in a bit of an alluring purr. "Charlotte, but I prefer Charlie." She said, her chocolate eyes staying on his for a moment more before she glanced down at what his other hand was doing. Ahhh yes, her money. It was good when she could save up for what she would need next. A new program that was said to make making her scripts a lot easier. She took the money he offered and instead of sticking it back in a wallet of some kind, she tucked the money into the key-hole cutout in the top part of her catsuit.

"Thanks, it's too bad you only had one shot to give me a kiss." She teased with a soft laugh, taking a step back and pushing her messenger bag back behind her back a bit more. She glanced around and smirked, "look like it's going to be a hell of a party, maybe I'll be back later. Nice meeting you Enver."

Amaranthia grinned, watching the woman walk away from Enver's booth. It looked like things were really going well this time around, and she owed it all to his special brand of charisma.

"Thank you so much Enver, I really do appreciate all the work you've gone too. I really think that once the community sees us as business partners, who help the community that they will take less notice of the strange happenings that come with our kind."

She pressed a kiss to his cheek, and winked. "I likely owe you for that one. Though, you did introduce me to those films..."

"Nice meeting you, Charlie." Enver said, making sure to call the woman by the name she preferred. The corners of his lips curved up when she made a cocky statement, the male shaking his head as he chuckled and replied with something just as quirky. "I will, forever, be devastated." With that, Enver grabbed a wooden sword and pretended to thrust the thing in his chest, where his heart was as he watched the woman head off.

It wasn't long after that Amaranthia, the hostess of the event came around and said a few words to him. He put the sword down, looked around and nodded. Maybe. Maybe Amaranthia was on to something. He'd think about that idea for a while. Probably all night, truth be told.

When she pressed a kiss to his cheek, the male tipped his hat to her. "We'll call it even then." He winked at her, remembering the alien films he'd suggested she watched publicly. Guess she wasn't a fan. "And I'll find you something a little softer, next time. Thanks for the opportunity, Amaranthia. Hope the evening is going good for you too."

His eyes bounced around the room to check out how many people were around, but was more focused on finding one particular person out of all of them tonight. He had made it known he was going to be here and even if it wasn't one hundred percent confirmed they'd be here, he was still hopeful. If not for himself, but for them and to show them a different side of the holiday.
