Lisa moved into the doorway, her fingers trailing the pack strap over one shoulder. She could hear the man’s breath, smell the trace of last night alcohol. Tilting her head she smiled her most sweet and innocent smile, the one that showed she was only 18 when Liz found her and decided to keep her.
“So? Did you get it? I hope thats why you texted me and not for some delusion that your perv *** is going to get a date.” whistling softly as she reached the counter, with barely a slight touch to the top she turned and hopped onto the counter, swinging her legs around. Each leg on either side of the merchant. Lifting one to touch the wall, effectively trapping him between her leg and the other side of the counter.
His voice gruff showing the weakness of his fears as she leaned closer to him. “Yea..yeah I got it. I wouldn’t mess with you.”
Slowly moving her dark glasses giving the man full view of her eyes. “You reek old man. A mix of booze, fear and lust.” Sighing and shaking her head, she leaned back, replacing her glasses. “Distasteful. So?” Holding her hand out she waited while a shaky hand placed a manila envelope in her hand.
Giving him a bright smile. “Thanks.” Turning around she hopped off the counter. The man whispering to her back. “Creepy b****.”
Stopping mid stride. “You know.... its never a good idea to let loose ends hang. Half turning toward him, she lightly tapped on her walking staff. “But you aren’t a loose end right? Oh and if you are going to insult someone, make sure the creepy b**** is out of your ******* shop.” Taking the pack off her shoulder, she tossed it at the man, letting a few twenties slip out the partially zipped bag. “Oh and if you decide to put your chicken *** hand in with them. I will cut your tongue out and make you eat it.” Giving another smile she turned and walked out the shop.
