Vampires are real.

It’s hard to believe that, but then again, it’s hard to believe that one of them was kind enough to kill the bear that had hurt me to the point I nearly died. My sire’s name is Kyrian. He never gave a last name, nor did he seem to want to give one.

According to him, I’m a telepath.

I don’t know what he is, nor the loud, crazy woman that I was introduced to. I think her name was Caliopa? All I know is that I’m no longer alive and I prefer the taste to rabbit blood rather than human blood.

Vampires don’t seem to be as scary as the legend tells you. Kyrian is very nice and has been very helpful from the moment he turned me. I’m still a little sore, and confused, but it’ll fade in time, right? Caliopa is... my sibling? I think.

My ribs are still mending from the attack, it happened just before sunrise so I was lying there for a time before the bear came back and he found me. Even with this new “life” I’ve been given, I’m not sure what to think.

I do know that I’m forever grateful to my sire.

He saved me.

Caliopa sired a blonde woman named Circe the day before Kyrian sired me, so we’ve been sort of learning this life together. She is a mystic, I’m a telepath, Kyrian is a shadow, and Caliopa is a killer.

They all seem to fit, so far. Everything is healed up, however, I’m still a bit foggy. My head has been throbbing on and off, and I no longer can listen to music for long without it getting worse.

I don’t have to open my mouth to speak any longer, I can just direct my words into other’s heads. It helps with the shyness, and I don’t really leave the café until I go to rest in the library.

I like Circe and Kyrian. Caliopa scares me a bit, but, I’m sure I’ll grow to like her. Circe and I often smack each other and run away, it’s a violent game of tag.

Mama called today, she’s glad I’ve found friends.

Grayson is dead, but the business has since began to prosper now that Sire works there. I think his handsomeness brings the pretty girls in, and they stay to purchase the candles that he makes. It is fine with me. He is a very good man, very loveable. It would be difficult in this life without him and the smile that appears when I see him. I trust him with anything and the family he has brought us into has become very welcoming.

Freyja and Connie are a bit strange, I do like them a lot. Both are very pretty.Connie speaks what I do, and Danish, which Freyja speaks. It is a very pretty language, like her. She calls Spanish jibberish, but not as an insult. We went dancing the other day, Connie dragging me without a choice. The dress she put me in was more revealing than what I prefer the wear, but it was not showing my scars so I cannot complain.

They have been hurting more as of late, Theo keeps seeing when I have to stop and cover my side. He says I should ask Kyrian about it, but I do not want to worry him... I met a new person the other day. Saved his life. A feral was going to hurt him, but I cannot say anything for the girl he had been with. She did not survive.

Circe, Renato and Caliopa have left again. Caliopa does this often, so I cannot say it does not surprise me. Circe will likely return one day, my friend doesn't stay gone for too long. Renato I cannot say much about, but I am sad to see he has followed them. He was good company at work.

I am not happy, but I do not wish to upset Papi. I have missed her, but I cannot help but wonder if this will repeat over again. Theo says I am probably being jealous. I do not agree, he is silly and does not know of things. It is a conflicting feeling. It is good she is back, but I think too many thoughts. Some I wonder if they are really mine. I believe I am going to work more on my hacking so I may make Mercy better scripts. She is very nice. I really like her.

Theo continues to mess with my registers. I do not understand why he does not get that I do not like it fiddled with a certain way. I cannot find my pens when he re-arranges my desk. He is being difficult.
