Seeing Double (Tag Alexandrea/Alexis)

Anemoi was resting at the bank, not the brightest ideas of course. Both Lexster and her little friend would come by, at least her little friend only used water. So he returned the favor with a wooden sword. She was human and not a threat. Lexster on the other hand, while she had missed the other day, today she had tossed him out of the bank and attacked him.

He grumbled as she didn’t stick around, he treated his wound. He was only there at the bank to see how the other humans were doing. Most of his thoughts had been what he recently saw on the Order’s page. He still wasn’t sure about having a vampire there. The group seemed so ‘Must kill all vampires’ theme, which he didn’t agree with either. He was sure just like humans, there were the good and the bad. He didn’t care about any of that. Not really. He suppose he could go after the vampires that killed humans, but how did one go about finding that information out.

He grabbed the bottle of gummy vitamins for Nimmy and made his way back to the bank. While the man didn’t like him, he wouldn’t turn down what he thought to be candy. He tossed it behind the plants, where he was sure he was at or would be returning to.

Anemoi turned to leave, but he saw Lexster. His eyes narrowed, grabbing a hold of his weapon and moving straight towards her. He had no idea this was Alexis, one of the paladins that kept giving him vampire names. “You dare come back now that I’m alert.” He said, he went to hit her then noticed the marks on her skin, the same ones he bared. “W-Wait a minute…” he said. Was this some kind of trick? A vampire posing as a paladin. “How can you have those marks? Vampires shouldn’t have them..”

He had no idea what happened to a paladin if they were turned, if they kept the marks or not, would it even be possible but for a vampire to get the marks, there was no way…right. He run a hand through his hair, still is gripping his weapon in the other. “Please tell me this is the case of twins and the other is the evil one..” he muttered. Maybe he was losing his mind and just thought this woman looked like her. It wasn’t like he thought about her all the time, just when he was pissed off and wanted to hurt her again. Kira on the other hand, was on his mind a lot. His life was in a downward spiral towards death and he wasn’t sure how to escape it. This was the fate he made for himself. Was this all fate? Not having any parents, being adopted by a rich couple that was only the front for a secret program for training assassins.

Alexis had just opened her new checking account, depositing her very first paycheck when some eye candy caught her attention. The guy was heading right for her, she grinned and tossed her hair. But then she saw that he was holding a weapon. In the bank? She narrowed her eyes at his remark and her hand went to her gun. Just who the **** was that asshole?

She moved quickly as he raised his hand to hit her and stuck the business end of the glock right up against the man's chest. More odd comments came out of his mouth and her upper lip raised in a sneer. "So glad you like my tattoos, friend" Alexis growled sarcastically. Her voice lowered to a harsh whisper; "But I'm no vampire. I hunt down vampires."

The jerk said something else but it was muttered low enough that Alexis couldn't make it out. "You really are an asshole, aren't you. You have something to say to me say it right to my face don't just act like I'm not even here and talk into your armpit, when you are the one that accosted me."

Anemoi stared at the woman who looked like the woman he hated. She was as bitchy as the other one. His eyes narrowed, his muscles twitch, wanting to cut this woman up anyway even if she wasn’t the right one. However, for some reason this wasn’t that woman, this one was a paladin and their numbers were small as it was. He put his weapon back where it belonged. “A case of mistaken identity. You look exactly like someone that keeps attacking me and I really hate.” He said. He took a step back, reaching up and pulled the collar of his shirt to the side, showing one of the marks that would show her that he was a paladin too. He let go of his collar, “So either this is a twin thing or…what’s that thing, doppelganger?” he said.

"A dopplewhatdafuck? And I have no twin. I'm one of a kind." Alexis stared at this creep that sported the same kind of tats that she had. That didn't mean anything in her book, any loser could go to a tattoo artist and get the ink to look the same if they had a picture of what they wanted.

"If you are like me... why haven't I seen you around before?" Alexis kept her voice low but her tone was hostile.

Someone that looked like her kept attacking him, he had said. Alexis couldn't say she blamed whoever that was. If the first five minutes of hr own interaction was any indication, the guy was a royal asshole.

She did wonder about who might be running around that looked like her. She knew from photographs that she resembled her older half sister who had disappeared in shame years ago but Alexis was a lot younger than her, there was no way anyone could look at Alexis and confuse her with a 30 year old.

“One of a kind. Not in this town.” Anemoi muttered, he knew very well that vampires could look like other people but he was pretty sure Lexster wouldn’t be using that sort of power all the time and this woman wasn’t a vampire. He shrugged, “Even if you’re a part of The Order, I don’t exactly hang out with them or post much on their message board. They don’t do **** as far as working against what they say they’re supposed to.” He said, not wanting to say the word vampire right now. If he could get rid of these damn marks over his body, he sure would.

“So you don’t know anyone by the name of Alexandrea?” he asked, crossing his arms. He had to figure out why he had mistaken her for Lexster.

Alexis had really had enough of this Greek dude that seemed to think so highly of himself. From working at Silk, the young woman had learned a thing or two about dealing with all types of customers and she hadn't been naive when it came to handling men even before that. But sometimes ya run into someone who just totally rubs you the wrong way. It even happened now and then at Silks, with all the staff. But they would help each other out and when it was clear one of them was on the verge of gutting someone someone would step in and tag team the other out.

But this wasn't Alexis' turf. There wasn't any one else around to tag. But it didn't matter. Even though she had no wish to alienate someone that might come into the club as a customer at some point, she was on her time dammit. She didn't have to put up with this ****.

"EVEN IF?" She echoed back, hands on her hips. "And if you think so poorly about them why the hell are running around with those marks? Her voice got very quiet as she went on; "If you have a problem with how Verne runs the show, speak up. You think you can do better? Then step up. Or step back." Her eyes were narrow slits that sparked fireballs as she swung around to storm away.

But his last question caught her off guard as he brought up a name Alexis hadn't heard spoken in years. And she turned back around so quickly that her hair spun around like a fan. Eyes wide as saucers, she took a closer step to the man and stared up at him.

"What did you just say???"

“I became this to complete a goal. Sadly there’s no going back of course.” Anemoi said in a bored tone. He scoffed, “Even if someone else took over and finally started to do ****, no one would follow. I’ve already done my fair share of vampire hunting and killing. I have no reason to risk my neck for people who have no intention of fighting together.” He said. He still thought Verne was ******* crazy for even allowing a vampire inside the Order, see how that turned out and even when Anemoi brought up the fact that the ***** was two timing them, he did nothing. He was just gone.

He crossed her arms, she could walk away. He didn’t even a **** but after he said Lexster’s name, she sure turned back around. “Alexandrea. Do you know Alexandrea? That’s who you reminded me of.”
