The Ending of a Story (Private, Odin)

She ran a hand through her wet hair as she sat on the edge of her bed. ‘Odin’ she felt like someone had taken a knife and stabbed her, twisting it over and over again, yet that pain was either becoming too comfortable for her or slowly disappearing. Pulling her legs up to her chest she wrapped her arms them and buried her face. She knew if she was truly honest with herself she had liked him before she was ever a vampire. True she had been the cause of his death, she hadn’t meant to kill him but she knew she couldn’t let him die either. It had been simple then, she needed him. That hadn’t changed even now. She just needed him to always be with her. Even if it wasn’t important as long as he remained a fixed point in her life, she could be happy.

Yet the comments about how they would be good together, didn’t mean anything to her then or now. She just smiled it off, just like every time someone told her they liked him. It was easy to just smile it off, and why? It was simple she had always thought that deep down he would ever like anyone, including herself. How wrong she had been. Why couldn’t she have just kept that one thing, that one fixed fact? Why did it have to spiral out of control around her? Now, she had no choice but to deal with it and she wasn’t sure she was even really dealing with it correctly. Yet she had made up her mind she would step back, try to go back… to just pretending he didn’t mean anything to her. After all, she was able to bury things down so deep no one could find them.

Love…’ she held herself tighter why did that word have to pop up now? Still she found herself going through it all yet again. The recipe of love, ‘Intimacy…’ there was no doubt about that she would always have a connection with him, she was forever his sire no matter what choices he made, no matter what he did in the end she and she alone turned him. There would never be anything he could do to change that fact, but there was more than that. She trusted him; he was the first person since she lost everyone that she cared about that she trusted. Trusted so much that she had chosen to not stay in the hotel after she had hired him, because she knew he was working in her home, and knowing that it could had been truly awful for her had something had happened between them. Yet at the same time knowing he would never do such a thing because she had trusted him even then.

Yet you thought he would kill you…’ she had to mentally laugh at that one fact. ‘Yes…’ she had thought he would turn around and hurt her physically… she wasn’t stupid, she knew he was dangerously. Even now she knew that… and wasn’t that what had drove her towards him? What she hadn’t expected however was the emotional pain he had caused her.

Sighing she rested her chin on her knees and stared into space, ‘I like kissing him, I like when he cuts into me, I like cutting into him, his scent…’ she could list other things but she knew more than that she craved his attention rather good or bad… she just wanted him to pay attention to her. Even now, she wanted his attention and she knew she would always crave his attention. She lowered her face back into her legs as she sighed, ‘That’s passion…

By her own standards of love, that meant that they were correct, that she really was in love… that she had somehow gone from just Liking him to having a Romantic Love. ‘Stupid Theory… why did you have to…’ she wanted to cry out in frustration but she didn’t, her mind was already racing into the next set of thoughts, the future she had planned for herself. It had always been one with no romantic feelings a comfortable empty love… just that commitment to remain together because that was what was expected. That was the life she had chosen for herself when it was asked of her. She knew she had hope if she was lucky that it would become a companionate love. Yet Odin walked into her life and had shattered her plans.

No he isn’t to blame…’ was it Chad Worthington III then? No, he had sired her yes but she had already lost what had held her together by the time he had found her. She had already came to Harper Rock, she had already had hired Odin, she had moved into her home before it was ready to be closer to him. Which meant the only one to blame for what she felt was herself.

She choked back the pain that welled inside of her; she had killed her parents, her grandparents. Had she just kept going into medical school, she never would have been selected to speak and they never would have gotten into the car, or gotten onto the highway and they never would have died. Yet the part that hurt the most was that had none of that happened, she never would of met Odin… she would never of had her first real friend in Ripper and through him became friends with Noelle, she never would of met Jarrett, Colly, or Wolffyn. She never would have had found two wonderful elder siblings in Serendipity and Nikolae… nor the select friends she had outside of them. Most of all she would of never had learned of Antigony. To be able to speak to ones ancestor was unbelievable to her, to not just have known of her but to have found her to have been held in her arms. She prayed to her name say the moon that Antigony would never fade.

She wanted to laugh at how screwed up she was, Blake had pointed it out to her but even he had no idea how totally messed up she was and the fact remained, no one really did. ‘No Ripper has a clue… and Odin… Odin knows for sure… he had helped to release that part of me that I kept hidden, the part that had thought if only I could remove those who didn’t belong…then true balance could be found in the world.

She lifted her face, thinking about who else knew and the answer was pretty simple anyone who ended up as her lab rat knew. Why? She wanted to help not just understand the limitations of a vampires, to aid humans in cures but in her own way help to keep the knowledge of what they were out of the hands of the humans. Not because she didn’t hope that one day the two races would be able to merge, and then work towards a union with the Fae but because she knew based on what she had seen happen between the Blood Thieves, that neither side really was ready to accept the changes, another point proven with the Paladins.

Yet none of this prepared her for what she was and had been dealing with and to be honest, she was sick of hearing everyone telling her ‘Love hurts’ she knew that. What was truly worst was the false ‘You can win him’ she knew now that would never happen. Maybe if she had been a mystic it would have but even then she doubted it deep down. What was even worse than that was that she was dishonoring her family… that she was disrespecting her culture and everything she believed in and a part of her didn’t care at all. She had found someone to teach her things, because all she had wanted was Odin to see her and want to be with her. Sadly she was giving up, there was no longer a point in trying.

But…’ She lifted her head as her hair fell around her, the sparks of a plan beginning to form in her mind. She wanted to laugh; at just how awful of a person she really was, instead she chewed her lower lip as she began to mentally list everything she would need to pull this off. What she would need to do to even pull it off, “I can have his heart…” she couldn’t help but smile as she whispered those words.

Quickly unfolding herself she went to her closet, there were a handful of things she would never have bought herself, or ever had thought to wear. Yet Luffy and later Colly had gotten these things for her, and she was working on making herself more comfortable with her body, it was a slow process, most likely painfully slow.

She smiled softly; Luffy was a good teacher and a good friend even if the man sometimes had her turning red from head to toe among other things, when it came to trying to get her what she had wanted, truly wanted. Selfish, he had said it was alright to be and this time she would be. Truly would be selfish when it came to taken Odin’s heart.

Pulling out the item that she had actually chosen without realizing what it really was she gave a small nod of her head. It was embarrassing still when she thought about. Thinking that she was picking something that was no different than what she had saw Kira wear about in the city. Only to be told by Odin that it wasn’t that at all… and of course did she believe him when he said it? No. Why? Because she was positive at the time he was just mad at her but Luffy had informed her he was right. That had been awful, not only had she thought Odin was just mad at her not realizing that he was yet again protecting her. She had put it on ready to walk out of the store with nothing but it on.

Slipping it on she still felt awkward, she was sure it showed in how she held herself and made her feel pathetic. ‘How do they do this?’ she had seen dresses in that store that was worse than this, showing everything. So in the end this hadn’t been nearly as bad, Luffy had said that some did walk around wearing them in public. Not that she could figure out why, once she knew what it was.

Taken two deep breaths, she went about getting ready. Hair dried and held in place not with hairpins but with scalpels. Her face painted in a China doll look, the only other style outside of painting her face white with black lipstick. Not exactly something you went out in. She mentally told herself that she would be able to do this; she could play the role, ‘Always a role’ she watched as her reflection sat down as she stared at the woman that was her but the part of her where everything got buried and hidden.

But it will be our best role ever, Rabbit

It could get us killed, Dragon

So what’s a little trip to the Shadow Realm? We’ll play down there, change everything and get those who are still down there completely turned around.

She rolled her eyes as she sat down, her mind thinking of how easy it was for her to slip into a role. To play out something instead of just trying to figure out whom she was because of fear of what that might truly mean. The only things that she knew truly knew about herself; were that she wanted to be safe, that she liked to learn and that she liked cutting and being cut by Odin. True that went a bit further, she liked being useful to those who were trying to learn their abilities, even being willing to being a punching bag or at least she believed she did, she wasn’t sure sometimes if it was a cultural habit or truly her own desires. She knew she liked a few other things as well but would she had bothered to learn any of those things if it hadn’t been forced on her? The chance was very high that she wouldn’t have.

Taken one last look at herself in the mirror with her reflection staring at her nails she sighed and got up, hitting the switch that would make the mirror more like a webcam feed before sitting back down and looking herself over. She didn’t look that bad even if she said so herself. She could do this, she could. Hadn’t her first kiss with Odin been when she was dressed up as a play on with Harley Quinn? This wasn’t much different. Nothing would happen other than she would have his heart… and she might be pretty close to a trip to the shadow realm because of it. She was pretty certain of that. Turning the switch again she was greeted with an extremely pissed off reflection.

Sorry…” she whispered as she went over to her bed pulling out tradition style Chinese shoes and a katana, putting the shoes on she sat the sword on the bed. Now all she had to do was get the rest of the things she was going to need. Pulling out a bag she sat it on the bed and made her way back to her closet, pulling a switch watching as the wall moved before she stepped inside and began digging for the medical supplies she would need.

Once she was sure she had everything and had put into the bag, she wrapped the shadows around her and made her way down to Odin’s room. He wasn’t there. She felt her chest ache again, but pushed it down. He was rarely home anymore, not since she had used Alexandrea to help her understand the process of fadeling development, which had resulted in her dying from it. Not that she had meant to harm the woman of course but that had been the end result and one she would have to deal with for centuries if she lived that long.

Picking up his clock she sighed, she wouldn’t have much time to get to his apartment… not unless she teleported over, she chewed her lip for a moment before making up her mind she would just have to do that, she didn’t want to risk losing the protection of the shadows and getting caught in her little red outfit, not even if Harley Quinn herself had prance around in something very much like this.

Closing her eyes she focus on the apartment building, and found herself of course in the bushes, upside down of all things, muttering under her breath she gathered her things, thankful she was still hidden in the shadows as she made her way inside and up to his apartment. She was mentally thankful she didn’t have to juggle a key just a door knob as she made her way inside. It was quiet but still she liked this place and what he had done with it. Not that she ever stayed in the guest rooms; no she always took over his room. Not for any other reason but that she had a fear of waking up next to someone she didn’t know in his guest room while she was there.

Making her way down the hall she slipped open his door. Thanking the Ancestors he was there and most of all, alone. She chewed her lower lip as she stared at him from the doorway, she couldn’t back out. Not now, she had to do this. Putting things down carefully to not wake him or make a sound, out of fear that he would catch her before she had put everything in its proper place. One that was did and done she checked over everything once more and knew she was ready to begin the process. A process which would likely result in him beat the living **** out of her.

She closed her eyes at the thought of him causing harm to her sent mix emotions racing up and down her body. She kept telling herself that it wouldn’t be for fun… that there would be no pleasure it would be to truly harm her this time. That almost made her put it all to a stop.

No!’ she mentally screamed at herself as she slid the katana near but out of sight, ‘I’ll never have it any other way.’ She took two very deep breaths and allowed the shadows to fade away from her. Yet she couldn’t make herself move towards him. Instead she found herself tugging at the edge of her fabric, trying to build up the courage. Even when everything inside of her screamed at her that he was never going to forgive her… not after this. She could wait, she should wait… but neither things seemed to be true for her anymore, she didn’t have her Nana’s strength. She had to be able to say, she had his heart… even if it meant of course, that she actually physically did, so she could move on. One last deep breath and she stepped slowly towards him.

Just stared at him as he lay asleep or perhaps he was in a trance, she hoped he wasn’t in a trance. She wanted him to be awake, ‘I want him to hurt me… one last time.’ She felt herself wanting to cry but told herself he didn’t like it and was for the time being able to stop the tears from falling.

Sitting down lightly on the bed her fingers began to trail across his arm as she leaned over, “Odin.” She closed her eyes trying to push the emotions that were screaming to cry out, she wouldn’t allow them to do so, not until it was all did and done. She had to keep her focus. “Odin…” she lightly kissed his cheek, she told herself to say something else besides his name but she found it hard, she closed her eyes as she pressed her lips against his, a soft gentle kiss. Once again saying his name, before pulling herself away looking away from him, she had to focus. ‘Why do you make this so hard?

She looked back at him given him, when she heard him stir, making sure it was one of her best smiles in hopes that there was no sign of sadness, of despair, and of hopelessness. “I need something from you…” she looked away again, lowering her head in submission, “you can’t deny me this one thing…” she felt her that knife again, twisting further into her, “…I will never ask you for anything again…” she wanted to cry out as it felt like the knife had been pulled out and found a new place that she hadn’t realized could be there twisting it in.

Taken a deep breath to help her calm herself and force the pain deep down inside of her. ‘I have to do this; I have too, no matter how much it hurt to look at him, to know he wasn’t meant to be with me. That no matter how much I wanted it to be so, I have to do this.’ She wouldn’t fight for him, she just wouldn’t, and she wasn’t the kind to fight… not even when she really wanted something… because she didn’t even have a damn clue how to fight for something like this. She wasn’t even sure if it was even right to fight for it. No… she was sure it would only be right if they had been dating and they weren’t. They never had and never likely would.

Turning she looked at him she said the one thing that she hadn’t prepared in her mind to ask him “Kiss me…” she sat there staring at him, ‘Then… then I will take it from him.’ I will take all the hate he will have towards me after that and deal with it for all the years to come. She felt herself tearing up and told herself not too, “please… just… kiss me.

Odin rarely stayed in Lunar Lake Estates anymore since the fiasco with Alexandrea. He kept himself busy with projects at the mall, occasionally seeing Alexandrea and Serenity in a raid or out on the streets. He wouldn't deny he was glad to see them, but for the most part was keeping to himself.

He had decided to start sleeping in the hidden bedroom in the back of his apartment lately, just wanting to be as far away from everything and everyone as possible. Odin was resting quietly until he heard the faintest of footsteps on the metal grid a few yards from the back bedroom door, and was immediately alert. Only a few people had the key to this place, and if it was someone breaking in, he would rip their throat out. As the intruder neared the door, he realized who it was by her scent.

It certainly wasn't the first time Serenity had entered his quarters trying to trick him with a kiss, just to then try to cut a sample out of his flesh. The last time she did it was different though. It was some desperate attempt to get his attention. She had bared herself, accused him of not liking her because she was not a white woman with blond hair, but Asian. Of all the stupid...

She even said she kept offering herself to him, though to him it always seemed like a ploy to get bits of his body for her experiments and research. The last time though, she took the katana to herself, slicing her body open from stem to stern, to then disappear into the Shadow Realm.

A few weeks later, he learned Serenity was keeping Alexandrea in the basement against her will, knowing it was his, but not saying anything. He was furious at his Sire for a long time for that...for the whole situation. He wasn't angry any longer for that mess, though he certainly wasn't pleased she was sneaking into his room once again. She was going to a lot of effort this time, as he wasn't in his suite at Lunar Lakes Estate.

Regardless, he didn't forget what she had revealed to him on her last visit into his sleeping quarters. He also realized some things about her after her last visit and felt like an idiot for not coming to the conclusion much earlier. A wicked grin curled his lips and he made himself comfortable on the bed, feigning sleep.

Serenity let herself in. He could feel her sit carefully on the bed, whispering his name. He could feel her soft lips touch his, and he rose to the occasion. He was not going to miss another opportunity.

Odin shifted his body slightly and opened his eyes. Serenity was looking at him, smiling and talking about needing something from him, something he couldn't deny her. She was also wearing a bunch of kabuki makeup and a rather provocative outfit. He had to admit the scalpels in her hair were a nice touch, but didn't she realize he liked her just the way she was?

Did I ever mention that to her?

Serenity then pleaded with him to kiss her. Odin furrowed his brows. Was this the same **** all over again? Possibly. Was there any bit of this not based on him being a guinea pig? Most likely. If this was what she wanted - what she worked out with herself, against her beliefs and customs, that was all he needed to know. He also knew by past experiences her katana had to be with her. He didn't need her interrupting things by eviscerating either one of them.

Odin sat up slowly, pretending to be groggy. His eyes trailed along her body to the floor. His suspicions were correct. No longer caring to pretend he was half asleep, he quickly snatched up the katana and slung it under the bed with one hand, while grabbing his own dagger off the nightstand with his other hand.

Serenity had pointed out to him in the past that he liked cutting her, and he couldn't deny it. Hell, he was looking a gift horse in the mouth.

An evil grin curled his lips once again. He was being cruel now, but he didn't care.

"Don't let me deny you what you need, if you're into that kinky ****," he said with a smirk. "I can certainly make it work." Odin cupped her chin with his hand, bringing up the dagger with his other. "You like this stuff?" he mused, running the tip of the blade over her cheek. With pressure, he sliced a line from her cheek to her chin, and placed the dagger aside.

"Enough playing around," he growled. In the next moment, he had pinned her down and was kissing her forcefully.

She should of known better, he was rarely ever asleep when she entered, and when he was he never acted groggy for that matter either. Still she had been foolish enough to believe that she would be able to get away with his heart in a jar... and still she felt sure of herself even as he grabbed her father's sword, her eyes widen as she slung it under the bed. “Don't!” she reached for it but it was already under the bed, she quickly slid off of the edge of the bed to reach down and get it but she had gotten off the wrong side.

That belonged to my father” she snapped at him as she got up and crawled over him to retrieve the item, “You don't go sling family heirlooms” she was truly in disbelief he would do such a thing, course it wasn't likely he knew it not many did and she rarely spoke about what belonged to her ancestors with anyone, she was under the belief system anything old should be a clear sign, from many of the rugs that laid about the the Estates, to other smaller items such as books and vases, to many of the older weapons that could be found about.

Instead she found herself facing him, he had a blade in his hand, she was sure she had removed them all but her own, and she knew right away it wasn't one of hers and it didn't come from her hair. He cupped her chin and she watched him with the one dagger she had forgotten to remove. 'How did I miss it? I double checked everything...' she whispered in her mind she wasn't sure what he meant by kinky. Her eyes tried to trail down to what she was wearing, perhaps that was what he had meant. She had only dressed this way to distract him so she could claim the one thing she knew she could never truly have from him. So she could move on... and she knew he needed to to move on as well. Not be worried about someone like herself, not when he had after all made his choice some time ago.

He had moved out, she had seen him with her, he rarely ever came to the Estates anymore she had hoped that he would come back but he didn't seem to care about those things. That wasn't really a big issue in the end not really. Yet it couldn't stay like it was any longer. Surely he knew that as much as she did.

Yet when the tip of his blade sliced into her cheek she found herself shivering, she tried to look at him but she found her eyes closing as it trailed down to her chin. The pain washing over pleasure that it had caused, the fact that she could already feel it knitting together, it was an amazing thing how her body worked. Would she had enjoyed such things as much if she couldn't heal? Part of her wanted to scream out no, but another part of her knew that was not the case, that it would never be the case.

Her eyes shot open as she found herself pinned on the bed, she tried to pull away, “What playing around?” confusing washed over her as he kissed her, she didn't return it at first. This was not what she had meant at all, but she slowly found herself relaxing return the kiss. Her mind was washed in a cloud of haze before she felt the inner part of her screaming this was not what she wanted. She tried to free herself from him again but found it useless.

Turning her face from him she was tempted to bite him, but she didn't know how much it would take to change her and she wasn't in the mood to find out. “Will you let me go already?” she tried to sound annoyed, angry but her voice was betraying her just like her body was. 'What else is new' she muttered to herself trying to pull away once more. “I didn't come here for that sort of... stuff. I came here for something else... but... got... distracted... with... never mind just let me go!” she at least was able to raise her voice just enough that time.

Serenity struggled a bit, but was soon returning his kisses. He wasn't surprised a few minutes later as she was trying to fight him off again. Hell, he was enjoying the whole situation. She wanted him to let her go, but her body seemed to be indecisive about it all.

With a bit more force in her voice, she assured him she didn't come there for "that sort of thing," and tried to pull away once more. It crossed his mind to just take her against her will right then and there. He was so ******* tired of these games she was playing. Instead he sat up, gritting his teeth, but he didn't let her get off the bed. He grasped both of her wrists with his hands.

"I don't like mind games," he growled. "Enough already. Just be glad I care about you enough not to..." Odin reflected on his earlier thought. He relaxed the grip on her wrists and lowered his voice. "Yeah, I care about you, hell I lo....."

Odin grit his teeth again. Not finishing his sentence, he stared into her eyes angrily. "What is it that you want then?" he snapped.

He released her if you could call the fact he wasn't on top of her anymore a release. It did allow her more freedom, like sitting up even if he was still holding onto her wrists, she didn't squirm too much to get away this time. Her main focus was of course getting her father's sword off the ground. Pulling once more she managed to swing her legs off the edge of the bed, she could feel the cool touch of the blade though the position she was in was very awkward even for someone who could bend and twist in awkward positions.

Taken a deep breath she turned towards Odin, “My father's sword does not belong on the floor.” she yanked on her arms once more, this time she was able to break free, part in thanks to the fact he had loosen his grip and she quickly used this moment of freedom to pick up her fathers sword and place it on the side table, careful to not disturb the order of things that laid there with it.

Her eyes turned towards him as he went onward to say he cared and she found herself trying to fight the urge to take out his lying tongue from his mouth instead she stood up and began to straighten herself up. “I am very sure you used the same words many times. Perhaps even to get Alexandrea to spread her legs for you.” There was a bitterness still there but it was covered in the sadness and hopelessness of everything that had happened.

I am sure she still spreads those legs for you so I am sure you aren't suffering any.” she turned to look at him fully now. Alexandrea best treat him better than she treated Jarrett, if Odin did what Jarrett did... the woman would pay greatly for it all.

I don't love you anymore. I still care for you but the love is dead.” She said the words carefully, it hurt more than she thought it would to say it, to lie about such things but she was sure he needed to hear and know these things. Yet she knew at the same time, that Odin could never love her, not really, not accept such things and he never would have been able too. His heart already had chosen Alexandrea. “And you do not love me. So I am here to release you... at a price...” she had to choose her words carefully.

You were sired to be my protection, to keep me safe. Yet you have caused me and the Yue'Shi great harm by choosing to be with Alexandrea...” she held herself trying not to pace, trying to keep the pain out of her voice, “Thus you will pay for that... but you will likely find it a price not worth paying so I shall...” she hated what she was about to say next.

Yet she knew this would likely work better if he felt he got something to add to his list of conquests. Not to say she, she couldn't fully deny that it wouldn't be nice but she had to make it clear... that she was not Alexandrea she wouldn't keep opening herself up to him in this way. One time... and if he didn't accept it, then he still would be giving up his heart. “I will give you what you want... my body for just this night... and you will then in return, without any drama, any questions, give me what I want. Either way you will be given me what I require tonight, one way or another.

Before Serenity answered his question, she picked up her father's sword, quite disturbed that it was on the floor. Odin said, "I didn't realize that was your father's sword. Then he frowned and added, "So isn't this the same sacred sword you sliced yourself open with? Is that how you respect his sword? he smirked.

Then Serenity brought up Alexandrea, making her sound like a whore. Trying to keep the anger from his tone he said, "First of all, Alexandrea didn't just spread her legs for me as you seem to like to say. Secondly, if it's any of your damned business I haven't slept with her since that first time, not to say I won't again," he growled.

"Thirdly, yes I did tell her I care about her, because I do. Why you think someone can only care for one person is beyond me!" At this point he was getting frustrated. He probably wasn't winning any points either. She probably never would believe how much she meant to him. Then she said something that made him raise an eyebrow, and then slowly grin.
“I don't love you anymore. I still care for you but the love is dead.”
"You don't love me....anymore?" He couldn't stop grinning. "Which means you did love me...do love me." It was hard to wipe the smirk from his face. "You are ******* complicated," he said under his breath.

Then she went into making some kind of bargain with him, and about his obligations. His grin faded quickly.

"I do protect you!" he growled, "and let me tell you, you're a handful." Standing up he grasped her shoulders. "I caused you and the whole Yue'Shi great harm by sleeping with someone? That's such ********!" He felt like shaking her, but he resisted the urge. "And I'm going to pay for that? ****, it feels like I've paid for it over and over and ******* over again already!"

He listened to what else she had to say and grew angrier as she continued. "You'll give me your body for this one night for a price?" This time he did shake her. "First you make Alexandrea out to be a whore and now you put yourself in the same light. Neither of you are whores!" He couldn't believe how this was going.

She came to me!

Odin paused for a moment.

Of course. Just like every single other time. She just likes playing with my head.

Odin shoved her back, where she landed on the bed.

"We are so done," he growled. "I should just kill you now." He hadn't intended on saying the last part out loud, but his anger got the better of him, and he was done being played the fool.

She lowered her eyes as she listened to him, she didn't fully believe him, she would keep her inner comments about the whole thing to herself. Regardless how it looked, Alexandrea hadn't waited a reasonable amount of time to see how Jarrett would handle things before running into Odin's arms and given herself to him. Odin had truly made his choice because he hadn't thought about the pain that it would likely cause Jarrett either... his own desires and own love for the woman had overtook his better judgment.

I am sorry that I've insulted the one whom you love.” slowly she looked back at him and frowned as he smirked at her. Was what she had said about not loving him truly that amusing? She didn't think so, it had hurt greatly to say those words but she also had known it was over with between them not that it really ever got going at least not as far as he would ever know.

You can care about as many people as you like... I never said you couldn't. I am not like Kira holding on in hopes that you would have changed from loving many to one. I am not unreasonable or forceful in that reason, fact I would say I am being very reasonable and logical.” she looked away from him as he grabbed her shoulders.

You protect me within reasonable standings. Yet you must be free to protect the one your heart desires. Which...” she looked at him, “Rather you understand it or not, is Alexandrea. You went to her, fact you waited for her to be single, not paying mind or heed to the one who had been single and was falling in... love.” she pulled away from him. “I would think you would be glad to know that you will be free of such a oath that I forced upon you.

This was not going the way she expected it and that just proved more to be the fact when he had shoved her on the bed, causing her to land in not the exactly most modest of ways. Quickly moving to her knees she stared up at him. She hadn't even thought that he would want her dead but she had also given him permission to do what he wished for what she wished in returned.

Closing her eyes she looked down taken one deep breath, “If that is how you choose to use your one night with my body then I will not deny it. Though when I return I will come for what I desire. You have no choice in this.” Looking up at him she tilted her head, "Even should you choose to do nothing but kick me out of your apartment and thus your life for good. I will come back for what I want and you will have no say."

Odin listened to all she had to say, and one phrase stuck out above all the others.
"not paying mind or heed to the one who had been single and was falling in... love.”
He sighed heavily, then sat on the bed next to her. Odin placed his hand on the back of her head, hoping she wouldn't flinch.

He cupped her chin with his other hand and gave her a soft kiss. "Do I want you? **** yes," he said as he ran his hand down her body to rest on her upper thigh, to emphasize the point. "But I'm not going to use you for the night, kill you or kick you out of the apartment for any type of trade for anything," he said.

"I'm not going to give you what you want for any form of retribution or payment or payback either," he added with a growl.

He kissed her again, this time forcefully, then let her go.

"I don't know any other way to show you how much you mean to me other than to just give you what you wish, no strings attached."

Odin paused for a moment, then finally said it.

"I love you."

As he sat down on the bed she found herself leaning away from him. After all he had wanted to kill her just moments ago and she had agreed to allow him to do just that. It didn't however mean she was really looking forward to being chopped up into little rotting pieces of flesh until nothing but ash remained.

She closed her eyes as his hand moved towards her, half expecting him to strangle her or slap her but he just left his hand there. Slowly opening her eyes she stared at him, tilting her head to the side as she did so. 'Of course he wouldn't hit me, he would only hurt himself with all those scalpels holding up my hair... not to say the damage to my brain was not likely something he would want either...' No she was pretty sure he would want her to feel the pain he would cause her this night.

She closed her eyes, he was being gentle which for her was more of a surprise than anything but as he moved his hand down her body she found herself frowning as she looked at him. There was far to much confusion right now going on around her. Was he going to kill her or have sex with her? Or both? Have sex and then kill her, he was really going to get his full use out of it. At least that's what she had figured.

This came fully thought as he kissed her this time with a far more force, that sort of kiss she was used to by him, he was rarely ever gentle with her so she saw no reason for him to start now, she closed her eyes and returning the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. The pain in her heart tighten because she knew that she wouldn't get such things after tonight... as he pulled away from her, she ran the tip of her fingers across her lips as she looked down.

Slowly her hand fell to her lap, she could picture it all very clearly in her head. Alexandrea had been upset, why wouldn't she had been? Then there was Odin... he likely didn't realize how charismatic he was, why would he realize that? She wanted to smile but it hurt to much to do so, he could picture him saying those exact words to Alexandrea, though she was sure he would deny it. After all based on who she used for knowledge dealing with love, she knew one thing for sure. You could love more than one person... and while he might love her... she was nothing but his second choice.

Looking up at him she smiled warmly at him, “and I love you Odin. You are family... I trust you greatly even now... though... maybe not with everything... but I trust you.” Now she couldn't trust him with her heart she was sure of that much, as much as she wanted to believe she could... she knew now just as well that she couldn't at least not the way she had wanted to have trust him. 'Still....' she looked back towards him carefully tilting her head as she thought for a moment. 'I can't be someone he's gentle with, he would have been gentle with her... careful to not hurt her...' she mentally nodded, 'but... I have heard pleasure and pain...' her eyes trailed down to his chest, mentally making the marks she would need to make to cut him open, 'and he is going to be in a lot of pain...' her eyes trailed towards the sheets, 'and he's going to need a new bed...' she looked back towards him and smiled.

I will make this pleasurable for you as much as it will be rather painful...” she chewed her lower lip for a second before pulling out a scalpel from her hair, “in return, you aren't allow to be gentle...” she took his hand and placed the tool in his hand. Giving him permission to slice and dice her up, at least that's what she hoped he would understand. Leaning up she kissed his neck, “The moment you are gentle, I will walk away... but not before taken what I want. Understood?

Serenity returned his kiss, then sat quietly on the bed for a few minutes. He wondered what was going through her mind when she started to speak.
and I love you Odin. You are family
Odin sighed. Before she was going on about being single and falling in love with him and now she "loved him like family." It wasn't exactly the reply he expected, then again he didn't really expect any reply to his statement. She seemed to be struggling within her mind with things, and at this point he wasn't going to clarify the meaning of love with her.

To his surprise though, she seemed to want to make things pleasurable for him, as long as he wasn't gentle about it. Her sentiments seemed genuine enough, it wasn't a trade thing, she was willing to give of herself too. It wasn't hard to figure out what she wanted when she placed the cool metal scalpel in his palm, then kissed his neck.

A slight grin crept onto his lips as he traced a finger down the back of her neck. He pushed away the images in his mind of what he would do to her, soon enough. His hand slide down her back to her waist and he pulled her close to him. Holding her tight, he drew a curved arch from her ribs to her naval, enough to split the fabric and the flesh beneath. Odin raised the scalpel up and tapped the flat part of it lightly on the tip of her nose.

"I do believe you own me an answer," he said, moving the tip of the blade over her eyebrow. "What exactly is it you want from me?"
