Kira took in a deep breath and let it out. She threw in more clothes into her bag, trying to make sure she didn't forget anything she might need. She heard a car pull up, she put the bag over her shoulder and went downstairs and outside.

She saw a purple van, she tilted her head as Puppet came out. "Nice van." she said.

"Thanks. I can easily fix the back so there's no sun for you." Puppet replied. He took her back and put it in the back. "Should be comfy enough."

Kira got in and sat down. "I can chill back here just fine." she replied. "Thanks." she added and got back out while he worked on making the back sun proof.

"Don't you need to leave a note or anything?" Puppet asked.

"Why? No one will notice I'm gone. And I can still post on the CrowNet with my mind." Kira replied, she looked back to the doorway and about jumped seeing two dogs and a cat. "Right...Dru needs to feed the animals."

"What about to your little friend?" Puppet asked.

"I don't know. Damn thing comes and goes. Hopefully getting out of here before it shows back up. Dru can take care of it." Kira replied as she went back to the animals and picked up Sof, petting Tucker and Noir. "I'm sorry, I need to get away for awhile. There's something I have to do in New York.."

She moved over to the van, the dogs following. "Now, if I had another one of you...I could leave one behind and you can come with me.." she said to Puppet.

Puppet poked his head out. "Talking about my brothers again..?" he said annoyed.

"Not at all.." Kira said innocently. "But shouldn't you be flattered that you'd be my number one Puppet?"

"Oh joy." Puppet grumbled and went back inside.

Kira shrugged and petted Sof. "You be good for Dru." she said and knelt down. "You too Tucker." she added before looking at Noir. "And you Noir, always so well behaved. Just no crime fighting okay.."
Sof moved to behind her back as Kira petted the dogs.

Puppet came out. "You got a passport right?" he asked. He had to get one.

"Yeah.." Kira said, "Got another one though. I'm not sure if Kira Kerr is welcome back."

Puppet raised an eyebrow. "And what name are you using?"

"Not saying.." Kira replied. She didn't know any other names so she used her other name Kaley Lynn Trodaí but she wanted to keep that name to herself still. She needed to work on some other names if she ever planned on doing any other traveling. But this was the first time she was leaving Harper Rock since she came here. New York was the only other place she had ever known. Dreams of Ireland wasn't exactly good enough to be called as knowing the place. She did want to travel there some time.

"You're not just using me as a blood supply?" Puppet asked.

Kira frowned, "I plan on not using you for blood if I can help it. You are my sun person. You get to go out and do things that I can't do during the day. Driving, finding a hotel and such. I can't do this alone." she said. She got up and got the animals back inside. She went back to the van. "I should be able to find plenty of people to snack on in New York." she added. "Now, you got snacks or whatever. I don't want to make any pit stops." she said. She didn't need to eat or drink, so it would just be him holding things up.

"I got things." Puppet replied as his stuff was in the front seat.

Kira nodded, sending a message to Dru to take care of the animals as she wouldn't be able to for awhile. She jumped in the back of the van, pulling the curtain that now divided the back into two parts. "Please tell me you own this. I like it."

"Wasn't about to go border jumping in a stolen car." Puppet replied as he got into the driver seat and took off.

"Is this the first time leaving?" Kira asked. She jumped as it was some kind of speaker intercom system in here.

"Yes, no worries, got a GPS." Puppet replied.

Kira looked up at the intercom. She didn't reply, at least they wouldn't get lost. She fluffed up a pillow and laid down. She was nervous about going back, she hoped Tone was still around. She took out her cell phone, plugging it in so to keep it charged. She pressed play on her music and curled up, closing her eyes.

Kira opened her eyes when the intercom sounded like it was on.

"The sun is coming up, make sure the curtain is in place." Puppet said.

Kira looked around the curtain, it was velcroed, to keep it in place the best and sun-free. She sat up, making sure it was down good. She could almost feel what must be panic set in, normally she would be safely inside a building. The only way she would see the sun is if the building came down around her. But here, this...if they got into an accident, she would be a burnt crispy creature. Even if he slammed on the breaks, she might go flying. She pushed the seat down, kicking off her shoes she grabbed the blankets that were there and wrapped herself up. She used the seat-belts to keep her from going anywhere. She would just sleep the day away. She frowned, when exactly was Puppet going to sleep? They never did cover that, and there wasn't anyway he was going to let her drive. She really didn't want to drive. She needed another helper...

She pressed the intercom, "Puppet, when are you going to sleep?" she asked.

"If I get tired, I'll pull over and take a nap." Puppet replied.

Feeling ify about that reply, she turned the intercom off. Pulling the blanket over her head, she closed her eyes again. Don't think about the sun, don't think about the sun..

David couldn't believe she up and ******* left. Didn't even tell her damn husband she was going either. What a wife. Drusilla had thought to set him on a free trip or at least Q-Tip, what a fucked up name to be given. That's when he had gotten the message that he had **** he had to do in New York. He hadn't been out of the country in ages. He took the job. They just needed someone who knew about gangsters and well that's what he knew the most about.

He started to think about being her Q-Tip after all it would be a free ride to New York. Save the force some cash for that matter as well. Then Drusilla shoved him in a bag as Puppet was packing everything. He wasn't sure just where the **** was going on but once he was sure they had been driving for some time he began to squirm in the bag he had been shoved in. Finally getting free he jumped out and in full scream jumped Kira, bouncing on her head before running across the car as if in pure panic. He wondered if he could get Puppet killed, he didn't like the man at all after all and well he was suppose to be in panic mode, so he ran towards Puppet jumping on his head all claws before jumping onto the wheel where he screamed and then went to jump out the window... as if he really would. Making sure he hit the window itself he screamed again falling into Puppet's lap before rolling down hitting the gas, ah now they were really flying down the street. He jumped back and forth so that Puppet would have issues before crawling up under his pant leg making his way upwards where he began to seem to calm down by digging into the mans leg.

Kira was so bundled up in the sheets and blanket, she wasn't sure what the hell was jumping on her head. She gave a shriek when the van started to jerk from side to side. If she died here, she may not be able to come back. She was going to kill Puppet! If she saw any daylight, she was still going to kill him. "Dave!" she yelled.

Puppet pulled the van over to the shoulder, slamming on the brakes. "You damn thing! You could have killed us all!" he yelled, trying to get the thing off his leg. He gripped the things arms to loosen its grip on his leg and pried it off. He grabbed it by the back of the neck and went to the back, being careful about the curtain. He tossed the monkey at her feet. "Are you alright?" he asked, kneeling down. "No sun is back here.." he added.

Kira poked her head out of the blankets. "I swear, if I die out here and I'm brought back as a wraith, I'm haunting your ***!" she yelled.

"I'm sorry, its that damn monkey." Puppet replied.

Kira was shaking, the sun, her one true fear other than losing her memories again. She sat up and looked over at the monkey, why was it here? It couldn't have gotten here on its own...Dru. She sighed, trying to calm herself. She tried to focus on anything else but her mind drifted to the blood she was smelling. Snacking on her driver wasn't a good idea, and the monkey...yeah couldn't touch it.

"Alright, just drive. We have to cross the border when its dark.." Kira said, she grabbed the monkey and buried herself in the blankets again with it.

Puppet went back to the front, making sure the curtain was closed. He bandaged up his leg then drove off.

The van slowed down as it came into line with other cars at the border. "Kira, wake up. Get your passport." Puppet said.

Kira pushed the covers off, running a hand through her hair. She stretched a little and with the monkey in one arm, she made her way to the front and sat down, putting her seat belt on. "Think they're question the monkey?" she asked.

Puppet glanced over at them, "Most likely but I hope not." he replied.

They waited in the line for some time, Puppet just hoping that Kira could keep the damn monkey to behave. The area was well lit, and as they took their turn, Puppet handed over the passports.

They were asked why they were coming to the U.S. Which was just a visit of sight seeing, they'd only be there a couple of days at the most.

The officer looked at the monkey, Puppet said it was a pet that couldn't be left behind.

They waved them on and Puppet pulled forward, he went to look at Kira's passport but Kira quickly snatched it back, she glared at him.

"Well, where in New York are we going?" Puppet asked.

"Good question.." Kira said, taking out her phone and typing in the only address she knew which was the shelter in which she had stayed for a year.

"What? You don't even know that?" Puppet asked.

"I left the area by bus. I don't remember the area.." Kira said simply, "Once we get here, I can find my way around." she said, sticking her phone up in the phone mount with it being in GPS mode.

Some time later, they pulled up in front of the shelter. Kira looked at it, it hadn't changed. She tapped on the GPS to find the nearest hotel.

Puppet drove to the hotel and parked.

"You'll have to find a store and get Q-Tip some food." Kira said as she released her seat belt, grabbed her phone and then went to the back for her bag.

"Lovely." Puppet said as he followed her to the front desk to get a room. Kira hid the monkey with her jacket, she was sure even if they allowed pets, they wouldn't allow a monkey. The room had two beds but as soon as Kira saw the window and closed the curtains. "This isn't going to work." she said.

"All the rooms are going to have a window." Puppet replied.

"I know." Kira muttered, she stripped the one bed of its sheets, blanket and pillows and dragged to to the closet. "I shall sleep in here." she said, setting it up the best she could. She tried to leave the monkey out of the closet but she could see a hissy fit coming so she had to let him stay. She left the door open a little so it could get out if it wanted.

Puppet left long enough to get some supplies and returned, the sun was coming up. He had also explained to the front desk that Kira slept during the day so told them not to bother them. Puppet put the supplies up and soon passed out.

Kira hoped her eyes, checking the time on her phone to see if the sun was down. She pushed open the door to the closet, she could hear Puppet still asleep. She grabbed her bag and went into the bathroom to take a shower. She ran the towel over her damp hair, she was worried about what the night would bring. She ran a hand over the fogged mirror, thankful for no signs of her Warrior side.

She got dressed, using the blow dryer to dry her hair. By time she was done in the bathroom, Puppet was up.

"Where are we going first?" he asked.

"Well, going to go find some clothes for Q so he doesn't get cold. Then going to find a friend of mine.." Kira replied as she went to grab the monkey. She fed him while Puppet was getting ready.

Doll clothes just wouldn't work, so Kira found a used baby clothes store. They weren't too thrilled with having a monkey bought in. "I need some clothes for him." Kira said, putting him on the counter.

"Ah.." one of the store owners said. She looked around, holding up a shirt that says 'I Love Mommy.'

Kira's eyes narrowed. "Hell no." she said, Puppet was by the door, trying not to laugh.

The next outift was like some kind of dancing dress.

Kira blinked, "It's nice..." she said, "But its a boy." she replied. "Don't you have some kind of jacket..?"

The staff nodded and came back with what Kira actually had wanted. Kira put the coat on Q-Tip, she then paid them for the item.

Kira headed out the door with Puppet. She kept walking without saying anything but she was keeping an eye out for an easy target to snack on. Though they already came to the cage fight entrance. Now the question was how to get the monkey to be calm while there. She had no idea if her powers worked on animals, it was worth a shot.

She headed inside, looking for her friend. She found him collecting on bets. "Glad to see you are still making the money, even without your favorite fighter." she said to him.

The dark skinned man looked up, pulling down his shades. "Kira?!" he said, his eyes widened.

"Shh.." Kira said, taking him by the arm and pulling him off to an empty section of the building. "I don't need everyone knowing I'm in town." she added.

"What? No fight for old times sake?" Tone replied.

"No, I get plenty of that where I live now. I'm...much better so it would be hardly fair to those here." Kira said, "I'm only back for a short time."

Tone nodded but looked over at Puppet. "Did you finally settle down?" he asked.

Kira raised an eyebrow. "No.." she replied, "This is Dave...he works for me. You know my little issue of the sunlight. He runs around during the day for me."

"I see.." Tone said, looking at the monkey. He wasn't sure if he should even asked. "Well anyway, you look good. I'm glad you stopped by. Do we get to stay in contact now that you found your way?"

Kira nodded, she took his phone and put in her phone number. "Just don't try to find me. The town I'm in...its quite different." she said.

Tone wondered what that meant but put his phone away. "I feel like you are only back for a mission." he said.

"I am...there's something I have to do here. Then I will return to my home, with no plans to return again." Kira replied.

Tone nodded, "I wouldn't want to hold you back." he said, giving her hug. "Take care of yourself." he said and returned to the area of the fighting.

Kira moved through the groups of people and back outside.

"Now what we are up to?" Puppet asked.

"Grab some shovels...we're going to where I started my life." Kira replied simply before walking off.

Puppet blinked, "Wait, why do we need shovels?" he asked, catching up to her.

"You'll see.." Kira replied.

It took awhile to decide on the shovel. Puppet just wanted ones that were foldable, Kira protested that they would be useless for what they needed them for, not to say they were short. If he wanted them then he'd be digging all by himself. Puppet replied he figured he would be anyway. Kira growled at him.

Kira led the way to the graveyard, having to pick the lock to the gate so Puppet could get in. She wanted to just throw him over. She shut the gate once they were in.

"Yeah, so not liking whatever you are up to." Puppet said as he looked around, the graveyard looked like it was something out a horror movie.

Kira said nothing as she walked on, following the pathway full of overgrown plants. She stopped for a moment, trying to remember the way she went to get out. She bit her lower lip, it was dark and overcast, full of tombs, crypts, and tombstones, everything looked the same. Celtic Cross...where was it? She moved forward again. Coming to a tombstone that had been knocked over.

She knelt down, running her hands over the broken pieces. "Here.." she said, standing up and pointing to the area in front of the fall headstone. "Dig here."

Puppet came over, putting the broken up words together. K...ira....Ke...rr

"Oh come on, how fucked up this!" Puppet said. "Your vacation is to...dig up yourself?"

Kira turned to him, grabbing the front of his shirt. "This is something I have to do. This is where my life started. I need to know..." she said. "I have no past. This is my only link. I have no one to support me through this, this is going to be your job so do it."

"And how many people even know this story?" Puppet asked, he hadn't heard this before. Only that she woke up in New York with no memory.

"Select few.." Kira replied, "It's not important." she said, letting go of him. "Just dig." she returned to the headstone, taking the shovel she had and smashing the stone beyond reading.

"Why are you doing that?" Puppet asked, as he started to dig.

"No ties." Kira replied as she took some of the stone. She wondered how old it was, but she suppose it would be hard to figure that out. Maybe the wood from the coffin...how would she even get a test done on that. She sighed and went to help dig.

They worked in silence other than Puppet's breathing becoming more labored with the work. They found the edges of the coffin but as they tried to find the top of the coffin, they just found more dirt. The wood was broken in. Kira knelt down, using a smaller shovel to dig more into the coffin itself, finding nothing. No signs of bone, hair, clothes, it was empty. Her fingers sank into the dirt, touching the bottom of the coffin. "I don't understand.." Kira said softly. She stood up, taking a step back, staring at the empty coffin. "What does this mean.." her vision blacked out and she fell.

"Kira!" Puppet yelled and quickly grabbed a hold of her. "Kira...come on. Wake up.." he said. He didn't want to know who all would kill him if something happened to her here.

Kira was aware that Puppet was holding her, aware of his breathing, the panic in his voice as he reminded her that the sun would come up, they needed to go but she couldn't wake up. She was stuck in a dream until it played out in front of her. She gripped the front of his shirt, and buried her face into his neck. "Never was a body..." she said softly, muffled by his neck.

"What?" Puppet said.

Kira pulled away, pushing herself away from him and got up. She looked to the empty coffin. "It was...a distraction. There was never a body here." she said. She ran for the dirt wall and hooked a chuck of dirt and landed on the ground above. She knelt down, "Come on." she said, holding her hand out.

Puppet took a hold of her hand and she pulled him up. They quickly left the graveyard and went back to the hotel.

"So is that it?" Puppet asked. "Is it a dead end for you?"

Kira was getting a change of clothes from her bag. "Yes, unless I want to look all over Ireland for another grave." she muttered. She went into the bathroom to take a shower, washing away the dirt from the grave. She didn't get any answers, it just left more question as to why that Kira faked her death.

She got dressed, her hair still with a towel around it and went into the closet to go to sleep without saying anything else.

Puppet walked by, "We leaving once its night again?" he asked.

"Yes.." Kira replied and settled down into the pile of blankets and pillows.

Kira barely heard the knocking on the closet door and Puppet's voice saying that the sun was going down. She really didn't feel like moving, as odd as it was, she felt comfortable in this closet, wrapped up in the blankets and sheets. It was most likely because she knew she could open the door if she wanted, otherwise she would have felt trapped in this small room. She pushed the blankets away and sat up, running a hand through her hair. She stared into the darkness of the room a moment, listening to Puppet move away from the door, and she guessed he was packing his stuff.

She opened the door, pushing it open a little. Back to Harper Rock with more question than answers. Maybe she should plan on a real vacation some time. Though she suppose the time away was still worth it, minus having the monkey here. She gathered her things, putting them in her bag. She left the closet, double checking to make sure she wasn't leaving anything behind.

She moved down the hall, looking over at Puppet. "Ready?" she asked. He nodded and moved towards the door.
