Once We Basked in the Lights of Sin City... (CC)

There was nothing better than the lights of Vegas but her best friend had ditched her to branch out her business. It had been weeks since she had heard from the woman and no news was never good news between the pair. Kennedy had picked up her paycheck on her last night of work before she started her vacation or she hoped it would be a vacation given she was heading to Canada. Maybe there would be a cozy little cabin in the woods and they could go skiing while toying with the local men that wished they could take touch and taste the pair. It would be a dazzling to get the chance to relax up in the mountains but from the pictures that were plastured all over the internet, Harper Rock was nothing but dull. What in the hell was CC thinking?

Shaking her head as she finished packing her bags before she checked her purse for her passport and airline tickets. Everything was in order and she was ready to go. Grabbing an envelope before shoving several large bills in and scrawled her landlord's name over the front with her address before sealing the envelope closed. Turning off all of the lights and locked the door behind her, she smirked as she made her way down the hallway to the waiting cab. Quickly she slipped the envelope of money underneath her landlord's door before knocking on his door to get his attention. As the door opened behind her, she smiled and waved back at him as he said his 'thank yous' and 'farewells'. Blowing him a kiss just before she stepped out of the apartment building and met the cabbie, who she couldn't help but flirt with as he loaded her bags into the trunk.

"Thank you babes. I'm going straight to the airport."

The cabbie had given her a wink and nodded her head. He knew this game and yet he fell for it each time. Who couldn't resist a sexy woman who was hitting on them? He obviously couldn't since she had noticed his wedding ring had suddenly vanished from his hand as he opened the car door for her. Shaking her head as he shut the door behind her and her eyes caught a glimpse of the family picture of three amazing looking kids taped to the dashboard. He was shameful but hey, if she could get a cheap ride to give her more spending money then she was going to play along. It was Vegas after all and there were many hidden sins that could easily destroy families but no one ever spoke of them. Leaning for she whispered a few seductive sweet nothings in the cabbies ear before she sucked up his lobe. The feel of his cringe and shiver before the car picked up speed. Oh yeah...he was distracted as he raced across town. When they finally reached the airport in record time, she quickly slipped into the front seat, shielding her actions from those that passed by as she gave him a quick and teasing pleasure that made him beg her to stay.

"Sorry Sugar...there are other fish in the sea that need tending to."

Her lips pressed to his as she reached over to pop the trunk and paid for the cab fare. Kennedy pulled back and shrugged before she slipped out of the car through the driver door. Pulling a wet wipe from her purse and cleaned her hands before swinging her bags from the trunk. She was finally set.

It didn't take long to get checked in at the counter but security was always hell. Everything had to go into bins and other items had to go in their own bin so she always ended up with about three to four bins there were just her own. The security guards perked their brow at her as she mouthed 'sorry' and gathered her items after passing through the sensor. It was painless but time consuming though she was free of that now as she rushed to her gate to make sure that she was on time. Naturally, she was 20 minutes early by the time she got through security so she stopped and to get her some Starbucks. It wasn't long before her flight was called to board and soon she was in the air after helping the elderly woman climb into her seat next to her. As much as she wanted to read the latest pole dancing magazine, she avoided it out of respect of the elderly woman. A nap was better suited at this point.

Hours later the flight attendant had come by to wake her up as the plane was getting ready to land. Sitting up, she looked out the window. The lights were significant but the city was surrounded by nothing but trees and no mountains. This was going to be a dull trip unless she could convince CC to come home with her or they could go to New York. Anywhere but here...

Stepping off the plane, she found her way to the luggage pick, found her bag and then made her way out into the streets. She had stopped to get directions to Hotel West which seemed to be the only hotel in the city. Hidding her distaste, she found her way to the hotel and checked in. The minute she reached her room, she deadbolted the door behind her and pulled out her laptop to send a message to CC to let her know that she had arrived in Harper Rock if she wanted to meet up for dinner and drinks.

She wasn't impressed. Not in the slightest.

She limped back to the High Noon Saloon and collapsed into a seat, lifting her leg onto another one. The wound seemed to be a through and through and it was weird, but it seemed to be healing itself and pretty quickly. She grumbled slightly, cursing Pru's name for yet another thing she'd not told her, along with the fact that damn humans tried to shoot you while you slept! What in the hell was that all about?

She was supposed to be on stage and up a pole later on this evening - but with a wound like this in her leg there wsa no chance she was going to be able to do the impressive feats she normally did. She was going to have to get someone to stand in and cover for her. With a bit of a wince she pulled her phone from her jean shorts back pocket and sent a quick text to Candyfloos, asking her to cover. A few minutes later a reply came through saying she'd be happy to as she needed the cash for something or other she waned to do. CC couldn't be bothered asking what she was doing or what was going on - the woman was far too bouncy and sweet for CC's tastes. Each time she was near her, or anyone like her, she just wanted to slap them!

After clearing the text from her phone, she noticed the little email symbol flashing. Pulling it up, she signed in and waited for the email to load up, poking at the wound as she did. It beeped to let her know that it was ready and looked it over, then looked it over again only slowly and more thoroughly. A grin crossed her face as she saw that Double D was in town, though she wasn't sure what she was doing here or why. Last she'd heard she'd been making good money in Vegas. She started typing up a response, agreeing to meet for dinner and drinks and then remembered what had happened to her.

She was no longer human, and she couldn't always hold food down. Alcohol, she could do alcohol. But food.... not so much. She deleted out the reply and frowned, wondering what to do. Could she still keep in touch with people from before? Or was there some rule about it that would get her one of those bounty things? Double D was however the closest thing she had to a best friend, so surely she'd understand right? She sighed and went for it. She'd not had all the vampire rules explained to her or much of anything explained to her. But she couldn't see how this was all that bad.

"Yeh, sure. Though how about you eat dinner and we meet after? I have work that I need to do at my club - but we can meet there after you've eaten? Place is called Silks. It's in the Gulsborough area of the city. Just follow the stream of men!"

She hit send and then looked down at her leg. She needed to do something about the bullet wound before she met Double D. She needed to speak to Pru, see what could or needed to be done about it.

Flipping mindlessly through the channels of the television as she waited for a reply. Patience wasn't always Kennedy's strong point except when it came to the stage. She could wait for hours as the excitement would build inbetween performances. Flopping back on the bed as she stared up at the ceiling and her stomach began to growl in rebellion. It was then that she realized that she should have contacted CC first before hopping the next plane out of Vegas but then again that would defeat the purpose of a surprise.

Just as she was about to give up and head out into the city to find food, her email pinged with a response. Quickly she rushed off the bed over to the computer and smirked as the reply was from CC. Perfect! Opening the message, she nodded her head. CC was always the workaholic when it came to the clubs but Kennedy was surprised that she had one up and running already but when CC set her mind to something...nothing got in her way until it was finished. Quickly she typed out her reply as she contemplated changing her clothes.

"Awesome, I will see you in 15. I'm at Hotel West."

She closed her laptop and looked down at her clothes. A tight pair of dark skinny jeans, a fitted white tank top, a pair of black 6" heels. Shrugging lightly as she ran her fingers through her hair. This would be fine in her opinion as she didn't expect to dance or work the pole but who knew...could be ameture night and could school a few girls while making a quick buck. What harm was in that? A chuckle slipped from her as she grabbed some cash and her I.D. card to get in the club. When she felt that she was ready and double checked that she had her room key. Grabbing her leather jacket and slipped it on as she set out to find the nearest cafe to grab a quick sandwich.

The cafe was small and quaint. There were computers on tables throughout which she only supposed were there for those who didn't have the ability to have their own. Smiling at a man that was now baring a hole through her with his stare, she paid him no further attention as she stepped up to the counter.

"I'll take a chicken caesar wrap and an iced coffee, to go."

"Would that be all Ma'am?"

"Yes, thank you."

"You can pick your order up at the end of the counter."

She nodded her head as she paid for her meal and slid down to the end of the counter. Turning around to rest back against the counter, she took in the people that resided in this city. There was nothing special here that she could tell and yet CC found it to be a good enough place to open a club here. Really seemed dull and maybe her club was the excitement that this city needed to get jump started. The tap upon her shoulder caused her to move and turn to see her order sitting upon the counter. Slipping a few extra bucks into the tip jar before she left the building. Once she was outside, she rested against the front of the building to eat in peace from the lustful eyes of the sexually neglected.

It didn't take her long to eat as she had gotten used to getting quick bites in between performances. Kennedy tossed her trash in the canister and headed in the direction of the club that CC had given her. Rounding the corner, she stopped and blinked at the literal stream of men and chuckled. She wasn't kidding. In only a few weeks she had a clientele that would reflect years of business ownership. No wonder CC stayed here.

Walking up to the bouncer as she decided that she was going to skip standing in line, she pulled out her I.D. card and passed it to him while giving him a playful wink. He looked over her information and pulled open the door. Stepping inside, she smiled as the place was amazing and suddenly she felt that she was back in Vegas. She was impressed and CC was doing very well for herself. Stopping thin blonde woman that looked like they worked at the club with their lack of clothing, Kennedy pulled out a twenty and slipped it in the string of the woman's thong.

"Can you tell CC that Double D is here. We have an appointment."

The woman looked down at the bill and quickly nodded her head. A soft chuckle escaped her as she bounced off in a direction. Walking around the club, she sized up the dancers. Some needed a little work but that was only because she was picky and been working as a dancer for quite sometime. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. It really was the prefect little place.

Pru hadn't been around anywhere handy when CC'd managed to haul herself back to her feet and go looking for her. She'd even asked a couple of folks there - but no-one had seen her. Grumbling and swearing, she'd found her way to the office and let herself in before rummaging around for some sort of first aid kit. Again, nothing.

"What the **** woman!"

She exclaimed and then spotted one of Pru's tops, cast aside on the back of the chair. She didn't even think about it - just grabbed it, tore it up and wrapped it around her leg under her jeans. It bulged in an ugly fashion, but she knew she'd be able to pull it off as strapping for a pulled muscle - cause they were always trying new things and pushing their bodies to the edge to try and be better than everyone else. Injuries were a natural part of that. She tested out her leg and found that it no longer felt like it was seeping or oozing out, and also that the pain was nowhere near as bad as it had been before. Quickly, she slipped on the heel that had fallen off as she'd bandaged herself and then made her way across the street to her club.

She headed for her office and started on the mounds of paperwork that were sitting there, losing herself in them for who knew how long and only being pulled back to the here and now by a knocking on the door. She looked up and shouted for them to come in, and was greeted by a shock of blonde curls poking around the door, followed by a grinning face and then lots of tight and toned, bare skin covered by the smallest of thongs and nothing more. She offered the girl a smile and nodded as the message was passed on, waiting for her to leave before she got up and headed down the stairs and out onto the main club floor.

It didn't take her long to spot her old friend, her eyes used to the lowered lights in the club and then helped by her new vampiric senses. Her hips wiggled their way over, weaving expertly around the men, servers, tables and chairs to reach her. She stepped up behind her suddenly - eyes glinting mischieviously - her hips against the others ***, her hands reaching around and grabbing her friend's chest, drawing her close before leaning in against her ear and giving a laughing purr.....

"Fancy a dance gorgeous?"

It was easy to flirt with a men that attended the clubs that she had even stepped into and this night was not different. Giving a soft little wink and a toss of her hair, they would melt. A few had approached her while ordering a drink by a near by waitress that walked around in a bikini. Taking a few shots of whiskey as she explained to the group that was starting to gather that she was new in town and looking for the places that held the most entertainment to keep her occupied. Quickly each piped up with suggestions and she made mental notes of each. Maybe there was more excitement than she thought there would be in this little down.

Excusing herself from the group of men after she pointed out that they probably should be paying a little bit of attention to the dancers on the stage out of respect, she made her way to the bar. Ordering a Jack and Coke and made it a double as she didn't wish to order another drink too soon, she waited patiently until she felt another press against her. Her thoughts had jumped to that it was a crowded bar until soft hands moved around her body and grabbed at her chest. The sensual touch was one that she knew all to well and the laughing purr that danced in her ears made a smile slip upon her lips. Leaning back into the woman as she turned and winked at her.

"I don't believe I would ever tell you no."

Taking a sip from the drink that the bartender had just delivered, she turned her body to face her long time friend. Giving her a playful wink and leaving her drink on the bar top, she grabbed CC's hand and pulled her towards the dance floor. The only question would be to just dance or give the room a show that they hadn't expected. She wouldn't push it but would see where the night took them but she had CC back and that is all she cared about at the moment.

She headed for the dance floor, dragged by DD in fact, and smirked. No way was she letting this woman get away with just a dance - not after not seeing her for so long. Instead she noted that the main stage had cleared and signalled to the lighting guy to put a spotlight onto DD. Then, without thinking, CC headed straight past the dance floor and kept hold of DD's hand. This time she was doing the pulling and she was leading DD up onto the stage and the poles that were up there.

"Come on now DD!"

She smirked and winked.

"Time to show me you've not lost it without me there to push you!"

She dropped her friend's hand and then flipped away from her and right up the pole, the momentum and her skill and strength pulling her all the way to the top, and once she was there - the music began. She lithely and expertly wrapped herself around the pole, sliding down with death defying speed after about 5 mins and cartwheeled down. Then with a bow and a wave of her arm she indicated another pole and eyed DD mischeiviously.

"What do you think folks? Shall we get this lovely young thing up the pole and spinning? Cheer if you want to see what she's got..... Literally!"

She laughed and winked as the crowd roared and cheered, waiting for DD to take to the stage and do her thing.

It was nice when Kennedy was able to take the lead. It wasn't often so she always took advantage but it wasn't long before CC had countered with an idea of her own as they walked towards the stage. She should have known what her friend would have tried to do since it had been a while since they had seen one another. A smirk played upon her lips as she watched CC even as the spotlight, hit directly on her. All of the men that had their attentions on her until she made them focus on the girls upon the stage were now rushing towards the stage to sit at her feet. Shaking her head as it was always the same.

Walking up on stage, she perked her brow at CC and crossed her arms. This night was going to be interesting. She planned to visit a friend but instead was about to perform. She should have seen this one coming and dressed more appropriately but then again...she had just flown in and had thought she would have a day to rest but resting was only the first step to being lazy.

Kennedy's eyes watched CC as she spun around the pole, moving faster than she was used to seeing her as if she had gotten some advancement on skill since being in Candada. Shaking her head at the thought as it had been awhile since she had seen her...it was probably easy to forget how good someone was until you were actually watching them again. She did learn from CC though and this here was a test so it would be interesting to stand up against her...knowing that CC was better.

Turning her head away from CC to look at the crowd when they all started cheering after CC addressed them. She shook her head and chuckled as honey brown eyes looked back over at her best friend. She owed her for this. The crowd grew more excited and she shrugged. Why not give them a show? Kicking off her stilettos but keeping them to the middle of the stage so a client wouldn't run off with them, she shimmied out of her skinny jeans before tossing them over to her shoes. Standing barefoot in her tank top and thong, her eyes looked towards the DJ booth.

"Give me something up beat..."

Placing her hand on the pole, she dropped her weight and spun around it before she pressed her back against the pole. Reaching behind her, she flipped her body up to wrap around the pole upside down before twisting to climb to the top. Once the music began, she flipped and spun around the pole. Her body moved with the music, flowing smoothly like water. She drowned everything out as she moved about the pole, showing moves that she would save for competitions unless it was a special occassion. CC wanted to give her customers a show and so she would do just that. As the music came to a stop, she slid down the pole upside down until she nearly hit the floor and stopped abruptly. Kicking her foot away from the pole, she flipped her body up until she was standing on her feet. Givng a gentle smirk to CC before slipping her pants and stilettos back on, knowing full well that she get a list of all her mistakes later that the drooling men would have missed.

"Now...how about that dance?"

She watched as Kennedy mounted the pole and did her thing. She wasn't bad and had certainly been keeping her skill up, but CC knew she could be better, had faith she could be. Her eyes widened in surprise and admiration as she completed a move that CC didn't know she had, and did it really well, and a smile grew on her face. There were of course little things that could be improved throughout - a hand here or a loose leg there - but nothing at all a client would notice. Only a judge at one of the competitions that they had used to do together would pick up on, or an equal.

CC's eyes looked over Kennedy's body then, with a critical eye. She was beautiful, it had to be said, with her curly brown hair and light brown skin like caramel. Everything she could see was taught and toned, her muscles rippling as she used the pole and made it bend to her will. It was obvious she'd worked hard over an extended period of time and was proud of what she'd achieved - as well she should be. She'd got off the pole then and redressed, the crowd going wild for her. CC just chuckled and stepped to the front of the stage then and held her hands up for quiet. Once they had calmed she put on her cutest smile and used her most alluring smile.

"Now then ladies and gents. Wasn't that a wonderful first taste of our newest act."

She glanced at Kennedy and winked, making that decision for her without even asking, then turned back to the waiting audience.

"She will be back on stage here in a few days so make sure you keep checking back! Remember, the more you spend, the more fun you have!"

She chuckled at the whoop that came from the crowd, possibly having used one of her powers on them - she wasn't sure and certainly wasn't in control of them. As the music started up again, the dancers came back on stage for the next session and CC offered Kennedy her hand to help her off the stage.

"A dance you say? I'm not sure the men in here could handle it. How about one of the private rooms upstairs? We can lock ourselves away and no-one will have a clue what we do!"

She winked and waited for an answer, nodding to the light up stairs as she spoke about the private rooms upstairs.

CC had cut her off after asking for the dance as she raised her arms and addressed the crowd. Perking her brow at her words and then caught the wink she had given her...Kennedy had no choice. She was staying as that was what CC wanted and what she wanted, she definitely got. Though the pout on CC's lips out have been entertaining before she dominated Kennedy per usual but the game would have been fun. She whispered to her lightly.

"You're too much sometimes but you win...I'll stay."

Kennedy wanted to give her the feel that going back to Vegas was an option but it really hadn't. She would go where ever CC was and the fact she was free of the entourage of body guards to keep her safe...it was pure freedom that she wanted to cling to. CC had always been the key to that freedom.

A light blush rose in her cheeks as the crowd whooped and hollered as CC announced that Kennedy would take the stage again in a few days. There was no way that she would let CC down or even disappoint the customers. Waving lightly at them all as the music started once again and the dancers to the stage. Looking to CC and happily taking her offered hand to help her off the stage. The words that slipped passed CC's amazing lips and cirled around her were enticing. They haven't had a private dance in months. The thought instantly sent chills through her as a bold grin slipped across her face.

"Lead the way, CC. Anywhere you go...I will follow."

Quickly she moved to her side as she looked up the stairs towards the private rooms. If CC wanted her in private, there was a good indication that there would be more than just dancing involved but that wouldn't be a first between the pair. Much of what Kennedy knew about dancing, relationships, and sex was taught to her by CC. The woman was her friend, mentor, lover and so much more. She was the perfect package wrapped up in a tiny and talented body with fiery attitude to kick it all off. Kennedy had a lot of respect for her and that would never change.

She watched Kennedy's face and saw a few things flit over it, one after the other, but she stood there grinning and waited for her to come to the conclusion she always did. When she agreed, CC nodded her head and took her hand again to lead her off up the stairs. Each time one of them placed a foot on a step, it lit up and caught the bouncers attention so that they knew exactly who was going where and why. She led the woman through the corridors above until they came to an empty room - and then they entered, CC closing the door behind them both before heading to pour a drink for them both. She chose champagne and dropped and crushed strawberry into Kennedy's while she herself took a drop of Cassis. She offered the glass to Kennedy with a smile and then sat herself onto the couch in there.

She'd done all of it in silence, her thoughts whirring and wondering how to tell the other woman what had happened to her and what she'd become. They were close and didn't keep much of anything from one another - especially not something this big. Her eyes roamed over Kennedy and smiled, thinking about how long it had been since they'd seen one another and how much there was to catch up on. She really wasn't sure how to lead into the revelation that not only did vampires exist, but that she now was one - so for now she just sat and looked at Kennedy, hoping she'd come up with some conversation. Though she knew, her silence would speak volumes and clue her in that something wasn't right with CC.

"So.......... how's things?"
