Reflextions of Loss (A humans trials)

I had gone to pick her up at the park like I said I would. We have done this so many times, from the first second I reached the agreed upon bench I knew something was wrong. She was always on time and always where we agreed. I began to search the park. Its hard to stand tall and be tough when your only reason for living was missing.
I had come to the parking area, searching the cars. If she was hurt, it would be like her to put herself some place where she was a bit hidden. I first noticed the car with the dent in the hood, and the small amount of blood on the pavement. I fought the urge to call out her name. If she was hiding because she was hurt and her attacker was in the area....
I had searched every corner for her, with nothing to find. Only that one spot with the dented car and blood. My head spun with the possibilities. I was a little late getting her, maybe just maybe she was pissed enough to make her way home on her own. She could do it, she was smart enough to make it there. She is strong, from the first day I laid my eyes on her I knew. My conviction in her strength of will only grew as the days grew. Nothing could sway her, once her mind was set, she was like iron. Yes, she went home, because I was late.
Please let her be at home. Let me get there and have her cussing and screaming at me about time schedules. Telling me how if I am going to be so undependable that she might as well just do things on her own.
I don't now what I will do if she isn't....
