I'm afraid there's nothing I could reasonably do about that. It would be a mistake to slow it down again, as it would be basically taking sides.

TBH, I'm in the same boat but even if it finishes before the rp gets going I'm. Planning to see my stuff through to completion.

Ditto.

It would be pointless to have started these RPs, only to leave them unfinished simply because the chapter ended sooner than expected. We may not have the impact on the chapter, but RP usually DOES take more time than an actual event. Like the storm event a while ago, where different players were paired with others to be trapped in various city locations. It was set for only one day, but the RPs continued for weeks. So, why shouldn't the same apply here?

Oh, I'm doing the same without any issue.

Yep, RPs can of course continue after the event, either set before, during, or after the event itself. More than happy to see that. I think what people are upset about is that those RPs wouldn't have an impact on the chapter.

Pretty much that. But thank you for dealing with the npc bug and d making rp more weighted.

That's how I felt, at least. I mean I'm more than happy to continue my roleplay after the chapter event, but it was a little disheartening to see that the slider was moving so quickly, even if it is in this specific characters favor. I know that the group of Paladin being written are amazing writers with busy lifestyles and I love reading their threads, so the constant shift is like "wow, did not expect that to go as quickly as it had."

I definitely understand that, and I have my own reservations about the fact that I likely won't get to RP this character making a stance with a chance at impacting the slider because the chapter will end before she has even made up her mind.

But, I also know I'm going to RP it, anyway, even if it means writing her reaction to the cure being destroyed. And getting upset about it will only put me in a bad place over a game that I returned to to enjoy. If I let the "rewards and gains" system of RPing be my deciding factor...it just gives me a reason to step back, again if the rewards don't seem to benefit me or my potential as a writer/player. And I don't want that.

That's also just my stance on it. I totally understand being upset in others cases, and I wouldn't discredit them for it.

Oh completely agreed on being disappointed on missing the impact for it, but I don't think anyone figured it'd go this fast.

That's why I like the suggestions Doc and Az made about the more being some sort of stages to chapters.
