Just a couple things I've been asked I thought were important to clarify;
No Live Chat
There will not be a live chat on 31 October 2014 for this event, so you won't need to plan to be at Lancasters in real time. Although it is important to note for RP purposes, the event IS happening at Lancasters on 31 October, as in your characters, when you write your forum RP, are bidding in a room, with the contestant on stage, and your character INSIDE Lancasters' pub.
As a suggestion:
Treat each individual 'bidding' thread as a mini-linear chat. And anything said, and bids put into those thread are actually, the chatter or bidding happening in real time on 31 October and can be used in your forum RP. (which I actually thought would be quite helpful to people to flesh out their RPs, so feel free to have your character emote or mini-RP the auction process, as these can be translated into RP.
That said, IF you choose to chatter/RP in the bidding threads, other characters can 'watch' you and 'hear' you so your words are usable in 'OTHER' people's RPs too >.> Always a good thing to keep in mind.
Change of DEADLINE
I have changed the bidding deadline to 11:59pm, 31 October 2014, EST. This is to give people a chance to RP over the weekend rather than wait. That means, around 11;59pm, on the night of halloween, I will be closing the auctions so you guys will know ON Halloween night, who won who.
I suspect this might be important for some of you who will want to chat RP or forum RP over the weekend.
Any questions please feel free to leave them here.

And what's the limitations on using things said in threads? I would think it inappropriate to use things said in a thread that your character wasn't a part of.

I don't think it's inappropriate, your characters are all standing in the same room, and 99% are vampires, hearing other peoples convos is a thing. Band if you take it from the perspective of one auction at a time, those waiting for other auctions ARE watching the. One you'r character is participating in.
But as in ANY RP, concerns can be reported to the mod team can look into it for you.

You have your kid out trick or treating after midnight? Gag, that's a late night for bubba. I actually thought it would be the Halloween parties that clashed, not trick or treating. But that's weighed against the fact that this timing works best overall and still the auction ends on Halloween night (barely)
And gives people the weekend instead of me ending it on a Sunday.

I think she's concerned about the hours that lead up to the deadline. That is 9pm in my time zone so if I had little ones I'd be trying to get them wound down and into baths and bed, lol.
Some time has to be the one picked, however. And no matter what deadline you pick, someone will be unhappy. I didn't see, are we allowed proxy bidders?

I'd say yes, cause I don't care BUT I need to know who the proxy bidder is, so does the contestant, because there are NIAs and there are 'you can't bid' lists.
This is to ensure proxy doesn't try to get around those things.

I think there is something I the rules about proxy bids? I'll have to check when I'm not on my phone.
