by Killian
Before Sid and Tomahawk made it around the corner, Killian picked up a Glock from next to the body of a gangster. He must've picked a fight with the wrong person, to end up with a hole that large in his chest. The man didn't dwell, though. He turned and quickly fired off four rounds, taking out each street light like an expert marksman. Then, into the shadow of a building's corner to wait. Turning the predators into prey was the one thing that was intrinsic to vampirism.

Then he watched his friend go to work, dispatching Tomahawk with ease. A chuckle left his lips as he watched him force the next man to call out for help. Then the sound of the blade ripping through flesh caused a smirk to cross Killian's lips. Now it was his turn. The Irish vampire flexed his hand a few times, watching some blood trickle from the graze he had taken, but it was nothing he couldn't handle.

Killian watched as a fairly terrified Michael came around the corner, guns drawn. Bullet fire began to erupt from the Heckler and Kock MP5K's that the human was carrying, and Killian just leaned back slightly to avoid the gunfire. Then he heard a lack of firing, and a magazine hitting the ground. That was his chance to step around the corner, Glock drawn to use a less-lethal round on the target.

Killian drew the weapon up to Michael's knee and pulled the trigger, just to hear a click. Then, he heard another quick burst of fire from one of the SMG's that the hunter had been carrying, followed by the tell-tale sign of an empty weapon: a click from the weapon in question. One bullet had caught Killian in the hip and he screamed out in rage and pain, while the rest missed. Without wasting time to allow his target to reload, Killian's shotgun was readied and a slug buried itself in Michael's shin deeply.

"Son of a *****, that hurts! God dammit!" Killian limped to the immobile Michael and growled out, before stepping on the wounded man's destroyed shin and grinding his foot down. "How do you like that, huh?! Unless you want another one, you're gonna tell me what the hell you're all doing here. And you'd better tell me quick, because I wanna shoot you so bad my dick's hard."

Killian was nearly screaming, mostly out of pain, but partially from rage as well. When he saw the man lying on the ground start to reach for his radio, Killian lifted his foot up and stomped on the man's wounded leg. "C'mon *****, tell me what I want to know, and I'll let you live! You might even manage to make it out of this city and spend the rest of your life in a wheel chair in a living facility of some sort. Now, doesn't that sound better than getting your body torn apart, piece by piece, with shotgun slugs?"

Michael screamed, then spit at Killian, telling him exactly where he could shove his shotgun. The Killer just shook his head, laughing. Kenzie's barrel was pushed against Michael's palm and the trigger was pulled, blasting a hole through the man's hand, and nearly severing his digits entirely. Then a clacking sound, followed by the shotgun being pressed against the knee of Michael's uninjured leg. "You're runnin out o' limbs, boyo. Might'n ya wanna tell me what I wanna know."

That's when Michael started spilling as much information as he could between screams. What he knew about the blood moon. Who had been giving the orders. That they were capturing vampires and holding them in a warehouse, before they were supposed to be taking them to a dilapidated church about a mile outside of town. When Killian was satisfied with Michael's answers, knowing there was nothing left to glean from the man, a smirk crossed his lips. "By the way... I lied."

Those were the last words the man would ever hear, as the shotgun barrel was pressed against his chin and the trigger pulled, killing the man instantly. He stepped back over to John and shook his head. "A warehouse. In Coastside. There's only about fifty of those.. Well, let's start looking at the one's with the lights on and see if anyone's home."

But they wouldn't have to take that long, for as he said those words, a windowless white van pulled around the corner, moving slowly due to bodies and debris in the road. "Or not.. looks like we just got a bit of luck on our side." Killian raised his shotgun and started to fire slugs toward the van's tires. He hit the bumper, the quarter panel, and the fender. The last shell that was loaded into the weapon hit his mark though, and the front passenger tire was shredded, putting the vehicle to an instant stop.

by Ever
Fading.

Ever was fading.

As hard as she'd tried to stay with it, the conversation had died and the outlook was bleak, the echos of yells now and again pulling her out of her thoughts enough to solidify her fate. Eyes fluttering, her head continued to lull from one side to the other, the weight of the blood she'd lost somehow making her feel all the heavier instead of lighter. She was caked in it, the dried mingling on the outskirts of the fresh that continued to flow and ebb free of the wounds her body couldn't fight against.

Cold. She was growing colder and colder as the outers of her vision grew blurry, dark. Nolan said something, but it didn't register, sounding too far away for her to care to focus on. Her gaze, once a brilliant sienna, had faded. The whites of her eyes had turned grey, while the irises were fading and dull. Hair matted to her forehead in a combination of sickly sweat and blood splatter from her attempts to escape.

But, right then? The last thoughts she had were of Daniel. Sure, there was a passing thought for Beau and how he'd handle things, if she'd figure out the rest of this life without her, of which she had no doubt, but those thoughts were few. Beau was his own man; He'd survive without her as he had been for months before meeting her, and he'd go on surviving for years after.

Daniel, though...Daniel was her soulmate. Her love. The last words they'd shared weren't the ones she'd want to share with him in those final moments. She'd want to make sure he knew exactly how she felt, how much he meant, make sure there was no question so he'd have something to remember when she died.

And, in that moment, Ever didn't feel it was a question of “if,” but a question of “when”. All of the gunshots they'd used to slow her down had taken their toll, her body's inability to heal it keeping the blood flowing freely while she lay there, chained and broken, waiting for the blissful release of sleep to take her so she could pass on, leaving the paladins with one less sacrificial lamb.

That sleep didn't come fast enough. Though fading, sounds coming in waves, she heard them coming to take her out. There was no groan of pain, even as her body screamed in protest at being moved at all. There was no pleading or demanding to be released.

All that remained was a woman, a wisp of a woman, what little light she'd once emanated dying in rapid succession, more so after being dumped in the back of the truck. There was one familiar form, though she was too tired to try and place it, the calling of familiar blood one that only left her confused in her incapacitated state. Nolan, of course, followed closely behind. She could hear him, hear the struggle, and the eventual slamming of the door as he was gotten in successfully, her head too heavy to watch as it leaned against the cool of the van's interior.

So this...is the last thing I'll see...before I die... she thought tiredly, vision going blurrier and blurrier, barely able to make out Wolfgang's form when he held up the keys, nor what he said.

And, before the van's sudden halt, before the chaos broke out, she slipped under, the fragile grip of consciousness she'd had withering away to nothing while she sagged against the cool of the truck's side. She'd done what she could, what little it'd been.

She could die knowing she'd tried.

...She'd only hoped that Daniel would see it that way.

by Asia Rae
Gambat dropped her off at Grosseto's, gave her a kiss and then all but shoved her into the building. Once inside, she looked around at all of those that had taken shelter from the chaotic world outside of their building and realized that they didn't look like her...they were human. She frowned as she had known that this was probably a bad idea but the lights had gone out and that gave her the ability to hide herself from them so that they couldn't see her hideous form. Carefully Asia hopped to the door that lead to the upstairs. Reaching the door she stopped to take a breath while her wraith Aulani came over to keep her company. She was a sweet girl and Asia had only wished that she had known her while she was alive.

"Asia...you need to get upstairs. It's safer there."

"I just need to rest, just a few minutes."

"You don't have a few minutes. They are all over and searching every building they can. Please...John would be upset if anything happened to you."

"Alright..."

Asia fought against her body that was drained and tired to head through the door and climb the stairs to her home above the restaurant. Once she reached her destination, she shut and locked the door before she slid down the wall to rest. All she wanted to do was go to sleep and she could while she was at home, just needed to make it the couch at least. Using what strength and energy she had left, she slid over to the couch and pulled herself up. Her stumps didn't leave any stains as her black blood disapated into smoke and vanished but the bleeding had stopped with her lack of blood. Laying back to rest her head on the pillow, she listened to the screams of both vampire and human as the war was waged outside of her building.

Aulani paced back and forth as she watched over Asia and then checked the humans down in the restaurant. Everything was going smoothly and so she just drifted out into the chaotic world to assess the damage and what all was happening...her usual snooping about to report back to Asia. She hadn't realized how long it had been since she had left but the city was in near ruins from the rounds of bullets being shot about and explosive traps that others had dropped with blood and body parts scattered everywhere. It was horrifying.

She had passed by a group of paladins wearing that another group was called to Coastside so they decided not to go help. One of the males were talking about how all the work out of killing the vampires was making him hungry and that there was a restaurant that they had already cleared in Wickbridge that was loaded with food. Aulani's attention had been caught and they were heading straight to Asia. Granted they had cleared the building but there were humans there that had seen her enter and then move to the upper floor. Who was to say that one wouldn't rat her out. Rushing back to the building as fast as her ghostly-self could carry her but they man drove and had already reached the building.

Slipping inside, she looked around and heard the chatter. The men were getting food while another was talking with the humans about if anyone else had come in to gain refuge. Some shook their heads while one spoke up and said that one had a few hours ago but hadn't stayed with them. They vanished into the office. The man lifted his head and looked back at the office and readied his gun to check on the one that slipped inside while his comrades ate. He took looked around and didn't see anyone but saw the door to the next floor. Opening it up on the off chance that they had gone to the residence above to hide, he went to check.

Aulani rushed passed him and over to Asia who had fallen asleep on the couch. The wraith wasn't sure how she would wake her up but tried everything with even passing through her or possessing her but nothing. Looking to the stairs with worry even as the top of the mans head came into view. His eyes scanned the room and there was nothing that Aulani could do even if she wanted to cause a distraction and knock over a candle, her hand would just pass through it. It was frustrating and there was Asia completely unaware.

As he reached the top of the stairs, he caught sight of her and grinned. Walking over to her and poked the tip of the gun in her stubs where her arm and leg once was, she cried out in pain and opened her eyes. Asia looked up at the man with a frightened look on her face as she tried to figure out what to do but her gun was out of reach. He grabbed the radio and messaged the boys below.

"We have alive one...Let's take her."

"They already have two in the van heading back to Abernathy. We don't need her."

"Can we take her to at least torture her? She's already missing one arm and one leg...she wouldn't be fun to kill. Long and painful would be better."

"I don't see a problem with that. Carry her down and we'll head out. Made us food to eat...this place was stocked pretty well."

"It's a restaurant...of course it would be stocked."

"Shut up and let's go."

"Yeah, yeah..."

He smirked devilishly as he looked down at her. Fear was on Asia's face as she didn't have her gun and her powers weren't working. She was completely defenseless with no way of reaching her husband. He picked her up off the couch before catching her only leg by the ankle to drag her down the stairs. Her head hit the floor with a hard knock and a very loud crack and she cried out in pain as her head became fractured. He cackled as he drug her down the stairs and her head hit each one causing the pain to shoot through her each time. She tried to break free but he only gripped tighter to her ankle. His partners were at the edge of the stairs waiting and laughed.

"She's a lively one."

"She won't be for long."

"True..."

One picked her up and threw her over their shoulder before looked at the humans in the room and nodding his head. The men left the building and tossed her in the back of their van and headed out to the location where they were keeping the other prisoners. They planned to give Asia her own cell and spend quality time with her in a cell that was much like solitary confinement. They would get the privacy that was needed and her screams would echo through the metal door. It would be music to the ears of every paladin and mystic that worked for The Order.

by Zodiac
She watched the men and women climbing into the non descript white van. A second one had already moved on towards Westwall, but this one was still loading up. They wore the same types of outfits Zodiac was already too familiar with this night. The mini bus sat with its lights off, appearing as another abandoned vehicle as she watched. Some were all grim business while others were laughing.

"Did you see that fanger's face just before we killed it?" one man was almost hysterical. "Like he could not believe it was happening."

"So much for living forever. Damn leaches!" another answered.

A third was encouraging them into the van. Once the doors closed and the engine was started, Zodiac dropped the VW into gear. She urged the vehicle to slip behind the other as it headed in the direction of Westwall. A few blocks from the bridge, she turned on her headlights.

"Hey! Who is that behind us?" the driver shouted as the lights appeared in the mirror. "I didn't hear anything about another team in this area. Who is that?"

"Looks like we are being followed by the Mystery Machine or something." A woman looked out the back window at the rapidly approaching van. Before the white van started to cross the bridge, the colorful mini bus sped up and pulled along side it. The driver saw a cloaked figure wearing a veil giving him the one finger salute as a cat watched him as well.

"What the..." He shouted as the mini bus swerved hard to the right and ram against the white van. Metal screeched as the passenger side was forced against the guard railing. He tried to fight his way out of it, but the older machine had the advantage, power and the attitude of the driver to keep the van pinned. Seconds before the opposite end of the bridge, the VW pulled away in time to avoid being tangled with the white van as it rammed the bridge post hard. Zodiac kept going. A glance in her mirror showed the driver had been sent through the windshield and if the passengers were typical bad-assed mentalities she doubted any of them had seat belts on so were in various forms of hurt as well. "Did you see the look on YOUR faces?"

The VW was complaining now. The front passenger side wheel had a wobble to it, making it harder to keep it going straight. She rolled passed the second white van, parked and its doors open. She was tempted to swerve and rip them off the hinges, but thought better of it. She had already put the rolling antique through too much as it was. She gave a glance to Ivy and saw bodies laying about. Not vampire but the others. "Go Team Vamp." she thought as she passed. Her attention was on a place in Honeymead now. West Tower stood out like a mountain among the mole hills. It was not the tallest in the town, but it was going to have to do. The feeling she was running out of time could not be shaken.

She eased the mini bus into the lot, set the break and turned off the motor. The engine died with an audible gasp and shuddered. Lights off, the girl sat and watched to see if her arrival had been noticed. Absently she petted the dashboard as she waited.
"Everyone laughed at you, but you was one bad assed tough ***** tonight, old thing." she thought. Once she was sure, she climbed into the back and opened the side doors and hopped out. The cart was unfolded and she quickly began to stack what she had brought with her into a pile. Bungie cords secured the load easy and she dropped a blanket to cover it all from prying eyes. The extra radios were turned off and shoved into her bag while the one sat in her cloak pocket with the volume low.

"Meow" Ginny sat on top of the cart watching her.

"I wish I could convince you to stay in the van," She sighed in silence as she slipped her guns under her cloak. It would do not good, of course, but she would hate it if anything happened to her. Zodiac closed the doors and began to push the cart toward the building. She did not approach the main doors but followed the signs that said 'Deliveries Only' to the back. She had no clue what was going on inside and did not fancy rolling into a fully alert group of henchmen armed and waiting. The back door was a simple matter to pick open.

She pushed the cart to the doors of the service elevator and frowned when she saw a key was required. Fortunately, the building was ran totally pro including friendly
YOU ARE HERE maps. She left the cart and followed the shortest path to the security office on the ground level. It was empty. The guards either trying to protect the residents or helping the stormtroopers search the place. A twist of a small crowbar opened the key box and she grabbed the spares for the elevators. Once inside the elevator, Zodiac locked the door behind her and sat down. She was safe for the moment.

" Mater Lacrimarum, can I actually do this?" she wondered. She was banking on the fact the more the vampire within her was crushed back by whatever spell had been casted, the more of her original skills would be available to her. It made sense to her. If she was less vampire then she was more human and if more human...

She focused herself and began to recite a mantra she had been taught as a child and focused her will. She watched her hands closely. At first nothing happened, then finally tiny pops of blue light began to dance about. A feeling of cold surrounded her hands as snowflakes began to fall to the floor of the elevator.
"My elementals are back!" her mind shouted. Not the strongest of her original skills, but it was the most vital one for what she had planned.

Encouraged now, she turned the key and pressed the button to take her to the rooftop access.

Everything Had been following suit of what was needed for the two men. Kill after Kill they cut their way closer to the one behind all of this. Death came easy for both of them, a talent if you`d say. John smirked as the blood splattered from his blade onto the concrete. Killian soon followed unleashing his wraith onto poor Michael. Were his head once was now rested a pile of mush. Looking over to the man John smiled. "Nice shot, but that still only puts you at six." A twisted smirk crossed his lips.

As screeching tires peeled around the corner Killian unleashed his fury. John couldn`t help but laugh. Bang, bang boom. The tire shredded as the van began to steer out of control. Left, right and back again as the van began to lift off the ground. The left side was the first to lift as the van went over. Rolling upside down as it slid heading straight for Killian. With one fast movement John sprinted for him tackling him out of the way.

"We`re even." He laughed as the driver was trapped screaming inside the van. Rising to his feet John was about to go check out the van until that simple message came over the radio he was still carrying. His eyes filled with horror as they went wide to the conversation. Gripping the radio tight he listened.

The only thing he could think of was how many people have a restaurant with a one armed and one legged vampire inside of it. The shock set in as he looked over to the driver as he headed straight for him. " WHERE IS SHE!!!" He yelled ripping him out of the van threw the broken glass of the window. He gripped the man by his collar as he straddled him. " WHERE ARE THEY TAKING HER!!!" John bounced the man like a ball off the ground every time he yelled at him. Harder each time. " FUNCKING TELL ME!!!" His emotions were getting the best of him, enough so that he missed the man speak and gurgle the exact location of the church they were headed for.

The blood splattered onto the John as his assault wouldn`t stop even after the man spoke. Tears of anger rolled from his eyes. Bloody hands wiped them dry as he sat onto of the dead corpse. " Killian... I`m going to kill every last one of them..." His voice was harsh emotionless. John had finally hit that dark place he had treaded away from for so long.

by Mike Barone (DELETED 2047)
Mike prayed that his annoying little robot was smart enough not to utter a word while they made their way through the city. He licked his lips nervously and by time they got to the building he felt like just taking a long nap. Maybe it was due to the stress and adrenaline. He hoped this night ended soon.

He let go of a hand he was holding once they got to the door. He moved aside when the other man showed up, certainly worse for wear and opened the door for them. He hurried inside and watched as the door was barricaded with a bookcase. He started to say names, he wasn't sure who these people were. Must be people who were also suppose to be hiding here. Then the man was out like a light, on the floor.

Mike wasn't sure what to do now, obviously the man was a vampire, he had nothing to offer. Moments later others showed up, talking about ice cream and blood packs.

"What kind of sickos did you follow?" Rude Robot said from his backpack.

"Shut up. They're vampires." Mike hissed at him. He turned his attention to Nimrod, wasn't sure how he would handle all of this. "Nimmy, how about we see about that ice cream?" he asked, distraction was best for the man. He turned to Molly, "I'm far from hungry at the moment..." he said, "But thanks.." he wasn't in the mood for any food really but he was sure Nimrod would go for anything sweet. He rubbed his forehead with the back of his sleeve, something cold would be nice right about now though.

Nimrod kept a hold of Alex the whole way, singing softly various songs. He buried his face into her arm as they stood outside the door and wasn’t even aware when Robbie showed up until they were already ushered inside the apartment.

He peeked out, watching the book holder be placed in front of the door. He stiffened slightly, not liking the idea of being trapped inside. He closed his eyes, remembering not being able to leave a room unless it was to have tests run on him or forced to take drugs that he didn’t need.

He finally looked again, seeing Robbie on the floor. “Eek! Robbie!” he was about to let go of Alex when Lizzie and Molly showed up, he was happy to see them but he didn’t try to go near them. He would get in the way, he knew that. His eyes darted back and forth. “Ice cream..?” he said. He didn’t really want to let go of the nice lady but Mike was going to get ice cream. “A-Alright..” he said, “Can we put your bot in the freezer?” he asked as he finally let go to follow Mike to the cold goodness.

by Alexandrea
Robert arrived right behind them and within seconds, everyone was safely inside. Alexandrea grew more nervous when she saw the bookcase pushed in front of the door, feeling sort of trapped, but was distracted by Robert's passing out less than a minute later. She recognized his wife, Elizabeth Pratt, as the woman rushed to his side. They had not really ever met but it seemed like a bad time to introduce herself.

Another woman who Alex had never seen before was offering them ice cream and Alexandrea politely declined. She went to Robert and his wife and bent over the sad tableau. "If there is anything I can do to help..." She said quietly and then stepped away to let the woman continue to stitch up her wounded husband. Alexandrea swallowed hard. She hoped Robert would be alright. Thoughts of all of her own friends and loved ones threatened to overwhelm her for a moment but her emotions faded quickly.

Alexandrea pinched the bridge or her nose tightly, concerned over the ease with which she had been able to dismiss her feelings. She didn't like herself when she got that way. It would be better if she got away from everyone else, just in case she lost her temper. She glanced back at the bookcase blocking the door and sighed.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Elizabeth asking the other woman, Molly, to fetch some blood and after 'Molly' returned, she offered a glass to Alexandrea. At first she almost refused but then surprised herself by draining the glass dry in one gulp.

"Thank you. That was very much appreciated. I'm Alexandrea, by the way."

Molly went on to offer to prepare anyone wanting one a meal and Alexandrea spoke up again. "Morgan, you should eat something. I may need... well, you know. So, please, keep your strength up?"

Her thrall and friend nodded then followed Nimrod and Mike into the kitchen. Alex chuckled at Nimmy's suggestion of sticking rude robot into the freezer before going to the window and looking out. The red moon still glared down at her and with a shudder she realized not all her emotions had waned. She still felt fear as strongly as ever.

The access door swung open as the girl peeked out onto the roof for anyone. Zodiac blocked the door when she was sure she was indeed alone and stepped out. The hum of air conditioning units could be heard as she walked among them to the more open area of the roof. When she reached the edge, she looked down into the lot and saw her van was still undisturbed or being investigated. So far, so good. Her eyes turned to the skyline and could see bits of chaos in the surrounding areas. Power off in some districts, a fire or two in another, and the sounds of gunfire in the night. Once she was done looking low, she slipped her sunglasses on under her veil and looked up. Despite the lower roof than she would have preferred, she had a perfect view of the now red moon shining down on them all.

She tore her eyes away and went back for her cart. The moon would actually be the easier part of the spell to deal with. The red was not coming from the moon but was in the air around them. Mother Luna's light was simply a focusing point. An activator. Once in the light, the spell could gain a hold. Zodiac had not (yet) gone into one of the transformations like she had seen CC endure only because she had avoided direct exposure to the moonlight. But she was feeling uncomfortable now. Aching in places. The idea of her pulling an Incredible Hulk like CC did may yet happen. The other part of the spell was still effecting her regardless. She tried again to send out her telepathy to the cat sitting on top of the cart, but the animal did not even move its head as she usually did when the mystic mentally prodded her.

"So turn off the lights, and the spell should become weaker at least. I hope." She encouraged Ginny off the cart and sat out her brazier. Quickly she got the coal poured in and lit it. It would take a bit for the proper heat to build up. As it warmed, she got on her knees and began to lay out a pentacle using white ink on the black surfaced rooftop. "Mr. West can send me a cleaning bill," She focused and set the pattern she used carefully, leaving an opening in one side till she was ready to begin.

She froze at the sound of the door slowly opening behind her. Zodiac moved to one of the AC units for cover and peered around the edge to see one of the military types sneaking along.

"Search Nine reporting. Checking the location as ordered." he spoke into the two way softly.

"Search Nine-copy" the short reply returned to the ear piece the man wore.

"Why are they looking on the rooftops?" she wondered as she took aim. The roof was a dead end death trap for those like her considering sunrise would happen eventually, so to assume any would hide here did not make any sense. The Psylen barked three times and the man fell to the roof's surface hard. She quickly checked to be sure the man was dead and began to reconsider her position. Once she began her spell, she could not be bothered or she would loose her grip on the matter and be forced to begin yet again. She needed help.

Returning to her pile of items, she pulled her iPhone free and composed a text and sent it a group of 'like minded' others she had arranged in her friend files marked SOTDM.

Calling all itches, witches and just plain bitches.

Zo here. I am sure by now you know the situation is somewhat strange this eve. You also should notice some of your original abilities are starting to become available as well. I have an idea to stop this, or at least slow it down, but I need some back up so I can finish what I start. If anyone can SAFELY make it to West Towers and make their way to the roof, you will find me. But let me know you are here. I have had to shoot at unwelcome visitors already. Reply if possible. If you can't come, it is okay. Blessings and be safe.

She hit the SEND key and went back to preparing the pentacle. Behind her, the body lay still as a tiny voice persisted in the dead man's ear.

"Search Nine, report? Search Nine, do you copy?"

Zodiac looked up once as something touched her sensitive hearing, listened, and dismissed it as night noise and went back to work.

Former Detective Thomas Webb was at home, he always had a police scanner on. His life changed years ago when his family was killed by what he knew to be a vampire. No one believed him, they figured he lost his mind due to the murder and spent years in counseling but in the end he was forced to retire. From then on he spent all his time collecting all the information he could on these damn creatures from hell.

Night after night, his nightmares replayed the slaughter of his family. Which left him going out searching for these creatures in the dark places he assumed they would be hanging out.

He was distracted with his thoughts until they radio started to go crazy.

"There are monsters on the streets! The moon is red, all hell is breaking loose! All units, to the streets!"

Webb looked over at the radio. He quickly he hurried to his car and took off, to find out what was going on for himself.

Kira had just left the temple after cutting herself on a thorn, the problem...it didn't heal. Her heart was filled with dread and she wasn't sure why, she had summed it up to her emotions being active right now. Everything seemed wrong. Though when she headed down the street, people were staring at horror at her. She was used to stares, but this time it wasn't a 'omg its Britney Spears' kind of thing, this was...omg there's a monster. What was going on?

Little did she know, her looks had drastically changed. Her clothes were becoming tighter, her eyes looked down as her shoes snapped off. "What the.." What she saw was not her feet. She looked to the nearest window and saw an awful sight. It was like a bat and a cat had been genetically put together and then injected with a were virus. She moved closer to the window, placing her hand...nope that was not a hand anymore up to the window, her claws ran down the glass, leaving marks and making an awful noise.

She had a snout...fangs, animals ears. She closed her eyes and put her forehead to the cool glass. Please tell me I'm just lost it...or a fae trick. she opened her eyes, the monster was still there. She took a step back, finding it harder to walk on her legs, she had to lean down and place her hands on the ground as well. Her head turned towards the sky.

Red Moon...

She brought her abnormal hands to her face. This wasn't good. Her animal ears flicked as she heard gunshots, screams and all sorts of chaos.

Web slammed on his brakes as he caught sight of a beast in front of a store. "That's it..." he said softly. He jumped out of his car, popping open the trunk and piled on his armored gear and his shotgun, handgun. He headed across the street and loaded his shotgun, taking aim.

Kira's ears turned towards the sound of a gun ready to fire. She lowered her hands, looking at the man who looked like he was the poster boy for SWAT. "****.." she quickly, not as quick as she had been before she noticed, to move out of the way. The gun blast got her ankle. She limped off to the side before running as fast as she could back towards the Temple.

However she saw paladins out and knew the temple wasn't safe. They after all knew before she hanged out there. 'Dru, stay inside! It's not safe.' she assumed her sister was at the house. It might be safer to go there and bar the door. She closed her eyes, trying to teleport but when she opened them again she was still in the same spot. Her ears flatted to her head, hearing a car zooming towards her far too late. The impact sent her skidding down the pavement, she was pretty sure she had broken ribs and her left knee hurt like hell. She tried to get up from the ground as a car door slammed, then the blunt end of the shotgun hit her in the back of the head. It was lights out.

"I got you now..." Webb said, he wouldn't be happy just killing this thing. It had to admit to the crime it had done. He dragged it to the back of his car and pushed it inside. He closed the door and drove off back to his house, pushing it downstairs to the basement.

He put hand cuffs around its wrists, using chains on its feet and picked up a taser. He pressed it to its arm and shocked it.

Kira jerked away, her ribs protested against the sudden movement and she found herself unable to her arms or feet. She growled at the man, he wasn't no paladin so what the hell did he want.

"Admit what you did!" Webb yelled at the creature.

Kira blinked, what was this guy on. "Did what exactly?" she asked.

"Don't pull that **** with you me! You killed my family! Just say that you did it." Webb yelled, shocking the thing again.

"Stop that!" Kira hissed at the man. "I'll admit that I've killed a lot of people but a family wouldn't be one of them.."

"Then you are a murder." Webb said, trying to shock her again but Kira had wiggled enough away to be missed.

"I kill bad people...sure some of them there crimes most likely weren't that bad...but they shouldn't have fought me." Kira said, "When was your family killed?"

"2010...of this month. You should know that." Webb replied, picking up his handgun and pointed at her.

"Hey!" Kira protested, "I wasn't even here in 2010! You got the wrong killer." she said, she was not going back to the shadow realm. She pulled on the handcuffs, normally she could get out of them but her hands were so big now. Her shoulder popped out of place, making her wince some.

'Kill him...' Warrior's voice said in her head.

'I can't blame him for his misplaced anger..'

'He is threatening your little unlife. Kill him. He can join his beloved family...'

Kira stared at the man, she had a point didn't she? His life here was over, clearly his life ended when his family died. Even with her life being in danger, she couldn't bring herself to kill this man. If she was her normal self, she most likely wouldn't have that much thought about it.

"I don't care. You should all die and I won't stop until you are all wiped off the face of the planet." Webb said, the gun pointed right at her head.

Yeah this wasn't looking good. Kira stared, watching for movement of his trigger finger. She flatted to the floor and rolled, knocking him to the ground, the gun shooting into the wood of the ceiling of the basement. She couldn't get a hold of him any other way but to bite into his hand, making him drop the gun. She kept a hold of him even after he started to hit her the best he could with his free arm. She moved her handcuffed hands behind her, this would have been a lot easier in her normal form, her legs were so different now and they didn't bend well. Her shoulder cried out more as she moved her arms to the front of her.

Kira let go of him, his blood filled her mouth but she had no interest in it. It ran down her mouth as she pulled at the handcuffs, sticking a nail in the lock. It popped open a moment later. The man held a towel to his hand as he went for his gun again, having to use his other hand now to take aim at her again as she freed herself of the chains of her feet and took a shot.

She gasped as it went into her upper stomach, her eyes narrowed as she jumped on him. "It wasn't me..." she said as she hit him, taking the towel and covered his face with it. She closed her eyes, this would have been far more bloody but...she just couldn't kill him like that. "Your life is a prison...death is freedom...join your family." she said softly as the man struggled against her. His movements slowed and he became still. She let go of the towel and moved away. She hit her shoulder against the corner of the nearest wall to pop it into place. She settled on the floor, staring at the body on the floor, the blood.

Kira curled up on the floor, she wouldn't stand a chance going back out into that mayhem. She can only hope the people she knew was safe. Slowly her eyes closed, the blood loss making her exhausted. "Goddess help us.." she whispered.
