What can you tell me about the different areas of Harper Rock, both before and after the quarantine was implemented? What were the low-income areas, where was wealth generally concentrated in and around town, what were the town's ethnic enclaves, etc?

He's an unclassed human who has an excellent grasp on combat, combat strategy, mechanics, etc. He's not a tactical genius or anything, but he has been leading different task forces for years, so he's very seasoned/experienced when it comes to the pragmatic side of battle.

He's strong by human standards, and reasonably intelligent. Somewhat charismatic, but otherwise doesn't stand out from the pack all that much, especially not in his every-day life (or outside of battle). He excels at, and loves training other people.

He's also not enthralled.

This is an excellent set of questions. Let me see if I can get it all =D

Some general information about the city can be found here.

As far as areas go, Harper Rock is broken down into districts.

Honeymead is basically a suburb and has a ton of residences. It's upper-middle class and has locations like little boutique shops, library etc.

Cherrydale and Elmworth are some of the oldest parts of the city, and they happen to be where a lot of affluent members of society live (including the Mayor). Think mansions, older architecture, etc.

Gullsborough is a commercial district on the river. Prior to the zombie outbreak, it was probably one of the nicest parts of the city, simply because it was a tourist destination which (along with the industrial districts and Wickbridge) were some of the backbone of Harper Rock's economic structure. Because it's so close to the Quarantine zone (which is roughly in the center of the city), the city's economy has taken a bit of a hit as business owners are abandoning their shops (which are also being looted in some cases).

Bullwood and Coastside are industrial centers. Thin gray with factories and warehouses.

Wickbridge is all entertainment - think clubs (moreso than other areas), pubs, casino, luxury shopping etc.

Swansdale is a less affluent suburb.

Stag Heath and Westwall are slums. Poorly maintained etc.

Redwood is a secondary entertainment district, though that's more the fault of the player base than by design.

River Rock has a lot of coast-side features like a wharf, docks etc.

Moss end is a middle-class suburb.

And I /think/ that's everything :))

If you poke around on grid, you'll note the squares correspond to a particular feel/theme for a district.

There are also small towns outside of Harper Rock, though the owners of those (player owned towns are a thing) would need to describe the feel they were/are going for.

Got several questions please don't hate me

1) Can a hacker character place tracking software or listening devices on another character's phone without discussion between the players? How about someone placing a device on their person?

2) Can anything done with technokensis be hacked?

3) Does an Electromagnetic Emitter suppress Technokenesis?

4) If a character wanted to bug or place cameras (or even other traps) in a characters private abode, another non-public place or any location outside of Harper Rock - could that be done without discussion between the players?

5) Memory Telepathy:
a) It says the individual getting the memory would recall it vividly. Would that include the emotions being felt? The thoughts?
b) Can it be used to project to more than one person at once?

Per Canon of the game...

1. How many rituals are there?

2. Can a list of current rituals known be given in answer here, please.

3. Is there anything that stops us from whipping up our own if it is creatively written for a particular event or storyline?

If a mystic is killed and returns in a new body, and they had some physical curses..I.e. Amputee or things along that line, would they be able to lose those curses when attaining a new body

Nope
2) Can anything done with technokensis be hacked?
Are you asking if a telepath's brain can be hacked or if they can be traced?

In either case, no. But devices they interface with can be hacked.
3) Does an Electromagnetic Emitter suppress Technokenesis?
No, as those don't block powers.
4) If a character wanted to bug or place cameras (or even other traps) in a characters private abode, another non-public place or any location outside of Harper Rock - could that be done without discussion between the players?
Nope. Though I encourage realism. I. E. If a character knows where someone is, could believably follow, and place said traps then I don't see why they couldn't. However permission would be needed, especially for the acquisition or use of any in character information.
5) Memory Telepathy:
a) It says the individual getting the memory would recall it vividly. Would that include the emotions being felt? The thoughts?
b) Can it be used to project to more than one person at once?
[/quote]

A) I'd say that memory telepathy is more sensory than that. I. E. Sight, sound, smells, etc. Though if players wanted to include emotion in a small way, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

B) No. Or probably not. I don't think most characters could believably pull off that kind of concentration.

1+2) Can probably best be answered here: clicky

3) Nope. David and I don't mind it when people have purely roleplay rituals as long as they make sense to canon, and aren't overpowered. Also, any roleplay rituals would obviously need to abide certain rules of RP etiquette. For example, one couldn't use a ritual to know everything about another person's character without permission, etc.

Yep. Curses and powers can be lost at any point, seemingly randomly in roleplay. Of course, on grid, you'd need to pay the RPP (or karma) to remove the curse.

Cool. Though, I have a thought, which is probably not popular, but wte.

I think if you are able to perform/do rituals outside the norm of path canon, that maybe it should be a rp power/trait/ability.

Say, you get it for x amount of rpp, and then you get to have certain rituals that only your character can do (say 3-5), and is up to you to teach someone...or not.

I mean we have it for other things like additional animal forms for meaner things, owning an ancient wraith. Those things are special and unique, so I see uncommon rituals being the same?
