Kaelyn practically cringed at his reaction to finding out this was it...he asked again almost accusingly. There was a lot to her story, too much to get into now. Maybe one day he’d hear it all. But to this moment, this was her first ‘date’. Eyes closed a moment and she sighed as her head nodded.
If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, he went straight for it, asking her if she’d ever been with a man. Her gaze adverted from him completely and she stared at the floor. Fingers picked at her shirt, tugging on a loose thread. She was struggling to respond to his question, but finally managed it.
“No...I’ve never been with a man. I’ve never had a boyfriend. I’ve never been on a date. And no one has ever kissed me like you have.” Arms crossed over her stomach, eyes still focused on the floor. She didn’t want to look up to see his reaction. She had had a crush on one person since being turned into a vampire. That didn’t pan out too well. She had then found out that this body in particular had been picked out for her so as not to be wanted in that way by someone specific. Kaelyn had been told that someone would eventually want her, but from everything that had happened, she just didn’t see it. She did not have confidence in that area at all.
Letting out a small sigh she managed a quick glance up to him. “Is...is that a bad thing that I’ve never been touched, or done any of that stuff?” With her luck, it would be bad...really bad. He’d want someone much more experienced.

Her reaction surprised him. She seemed to be ashamed of still being a virgin? Odd. For him though her confession was a very exciting one. Gently he placed his lips on her forehead kissing it as she looked down.
“No it is not bad at all” he replied. “You are still young and you’ve been saving yourself for the right one.” I his mind there was absolutely no doubt who that right one was. Him. This sweet young vampire had to be his. His hand gently slipped under her chin as she glanced up to him, his head inclining towards her to place kiss upon her lips. A soft, slow kiss, savoring the sweetness of her lips. Lips that most likely no one ever had kissed before him.
She was wonderful in her innocence and beauty. And he knew that before this night was over he had to make her his. This one had to be his and didn’t want any vampire guy to ever snatch her away from him. She had come to him after all, she had fallen in love with him. He would take his time, days, weeks, maybe months before he’d pluck these sweet petals, make her a woman. Before he did so, he wanted to show her many pleasures she had never even dreamed of, explore and experiment with her, to make sure that the time had arrived he could make it the ultimate experience of bliss for both her and him. But to make sure he had this time, the time she deserved, and not have her snatched up by somebody else from his hands, he had to act now. Witnessing the effect of his previous questions he gave her a little time to recollect herself. But then he felt he couldn’t wait any longer.
“Are you ready for another question?” He asked, his voice gentle yet serious.

He was tender with his reaction. He hadn’t seemed put out at all. In fact just the opposite. Maybe he enjoyed the fact that she was innocent? With his lips upon her own, a hand came up to rest gently against his face as she kissed him in return. No one had ever kissed her like this before. She could feel something in it...a wanting, a passion maybe.
Her mind had slowly been coming back to her own over the last few moments. It had been hours since they first met at Nexus. It had been hours but felt like only minutes...yet also an eternity. She was a little confused as to how she felt such a deep love for this man in a matter of moments after seeing him. It wasn’t logical. She knew that she couldn’t truly love this man yet, but she had been having the most amazing time with him. Whatever had happened was a blessing. It brought them to this spot here. That longing, deep love no longer grew inside her, but a want to know this man, to spend time with him, to learn all she could, to possibly grow back to that had replaced it. This wasn’t a crush like she had on her best friend before. This was something more. Something much more intense. Not love, but a very strong desire. She had told this man and shared things with him that were crazy to tell a stranger...yet even with the spell wearing off, she still trusted him. There were pangs of guilt that maybe she’d get in trouble for sharing with him, but she still wanted to.
After they had slowly pulled away from that kiss, she took a few moments to collect herself and her thoughts. She knew what she wanted. She knew that it would be dangerous...for both of them. But it would be worth it if things went her way. Kaelyn’s head nodded just a little as he asked if she were ready for the next question. “Yes...yes, I’m ready. You can ask.”

Deeply he looked into her eyes, to see if she was ready really. This was a rather important question he was about to ask. Was it too soon? But how could he tell in a night like this one, with a girl who fell in love with him before even getting to know him. She seemed a bit changed right now not as overly bubbly as before. But they both had become more serious anyway. Thus it now was the time to speak the words he had to speak.
“Do you want to be my girl?”
He asked, and right now he was almost as nervous as a young schoolboy asking his schoolyard sweetheart these words. He was better at hiding this nervous now though, there wasn’t much that gave away how much his heart was racing this very moment.
His eyes still focused on hers he waited for her reply, a reply that was so decisive for the outcome of this night, so decisive for both their future. he didn’t have much luck with relationships lately and had given up looking until tonight when this young waitress, this young vampire all of the sudden entered his life.

She stood there waiting for it, waiting for the question he wanted to ask her. He seemed to take his time, watching her for a moment before he finally got it out. She took just as long to respond. Her eyes blinked a few times and she looked over him, tried to search his face, to make sure she was understanding him clearly. Was he jumping into this just as fast as she seemed to have earlier? She wanted him to clarify his question, to make sure she wasn’t misunderstanding him.
“You are asking if I want to be your girl? Like...You mean you want me to be your girlfriend...and you my boyfriend?” Her cheeks flushed over as she said this. Teeth tugged at her bottom lip nervously. Taking a step closer to him, her hand rested on his chest. She could hear and feel that his heart was racing. Was he nervous? She was nervous too. She wanted to say yes...more than anything. But there could be very large consequences if they chose to go this route.
“If that’s what you’re asking me...I do. I really really do. But you know it won’t be easy...not with both of our worlds being completely different.” Hands ran through her curls, pushing them out of her face. She couldn’t believe he was actually asking this of her...that he would want her. “I’m really what you’d want? You wouldn’t want a woman more your age or more experienced?” All of her questions seemed to come one right after another before she finally stopped to let the man speak.

“Yes that’s what I am asking” he clarified softly, a little smile on his lips as he saw her blush. That blush was something he really could not resist. The smile turned big and bright with happiness as she replied in the affirmative.
After placing a little kiss upon her nose, he began to deal with her many questions. “Oh yes I know”, even more so than she thought he’d know. He already had found out plenty about the complications of dating a vampire. It didn’t worked out well. But that had not been her of course. “But easy is no fun anyway. I am absolutely sure that together we can make this all work.” He really was that sure, even though he was aware of the fact that he didn’t know much yet about their family, and their possible reaction to his and Kaelyn’s relationship.
“Yes you are what I want. Absolutely.” The age difference was not an hindrance for him, quite the opposite. “I can teach you,” he spoke, “but I also will learn from you. Are you ready and willing to play by my rules?”

Kaelyn’s eyes lit up when he reassured her that this is what he was asking...that he wanted her for himself. That cute overly girlish bubbly smile grew on her lips and she pushed herself up onto tippy toes to nudge a kiss to his. How the heck did this happen? All in one night…. She inwardly shrugged and just kept grinning. She liked this man a lot and it was clear he did her as well. “As long as you’re willing to work and fight for it...I am too. With my family, I can almost guarantee you it will not be easy.”
Butterflies were fluttering in her tummy as arms circled around his middle. Her first boyfriend was a man that she had only known for four hours. It’s strange how things happen, but this felt completely right.
Brows perked up at his final question. “What if I have rules of my own? Are you willing to play by them?” She would certainly have rules...ones he may not like. Especially seeing as he was much more experienced and all that. Hopefully it’d all be ok.

His arms wrapped around her to pull her up into his. His hand starting to play with her hair, he pondered her question for a moment. “Let me hear about your rules” he spoke then, his hands pushing her a bit closer to him. “Tell me what is on your mind.”
He held her close to him like he never wanted to let her go. It was quite a surprising catch, quite astonishing how it all had happened, how she indeed had become his. And now he was very determined to hold on to this girl, no matter what difficulties he’d have to deal with considering her family. Vampires were quite know to deal with family issues in a rather violent manner. But Stagger Lee was willing and ready to fight for her.

“Well...You’re a man. And as I’ve noticed by my family….men tend to have wants, needs...desires.” Her face turned red once again and she buried it against his chest. “I’m not ready for those things...There are so many things you need to know about me before we can even consider those things.” The girl was only 17...that was probably the biggest thing he needed to know. She had been told time and time again that her age doesn’t matter now that she was a vampire, but with this sort of thing, it just might.
“If that’s going to be an issue...we’re going to need to talk and find a way around it. That’s pretty much my only rule.” Her head tipped up to look at him again and push another kiss to his lips. “What are your rules?” He would learn quickly that she struggled with rules and didn’t typically follow all of them.

“Yes I am a man. And I do have needs, wants, desires” He slowly savored these words looking at her as he spoke. “If heard certain rumours that women have needs, wants and desires too. But who knows if those rumours are true.” He got a bit serious as she continued to explain. “But yes I do understand. I will take my time with you.” He placed a kiss on her forehead, then as she looked up to him again, happily returned her kiss to his lips. He loved those kisses. She was a really sweet kisser.
“Are you willing to let me lead you there on the slow and scenic route? Its a much more pleasant ride then rushing there like a crazy fool would do.” He knew what he was talking about. Once he had been young too. And a crazy fool.
