Less predictable is keeping the bigger players in longer, so the end match is more even :P

That part is true, but the less big players left towards the end the less likely it is that the winner will be predictable. Assuming of course that the unexpected can happen, which in Path and football it can.

No, the fewer big players left at the end means that the one big player left wins. If you have a whole bunch of housecats and a pair of tigers facing off, regardless of where the tigers are placed in the tree, one of them is going to win. It's just way more exciting to watch the tigers face off at the end than watch one get eliminated in round 1. <.<

If Mordie wins, my point is ttly proven.

I disagree about all of that. Even the simile used, lol. And especially the more exciting part.

Yeh, unfortunately, I'm with David on that one.

As I said, round 1 or round 21 - same deal. There's no difference in the excitement level.

I'll just chalk it up to sadism <.< You wanna watch little kitties get mauled by tigers.

If you're actually going to automate it, the betting aspect of it gets nerfed if the two facing off in the final are very unequal. Everyone bets on the 'better' fighter, everyone is right when the better fighter wins.

I'm in agreement with David too. This way is more fun. Just because Nix and Mordie are the highest level chars, doesn't mean that they can't be beaten by someone who is a slightly lower level.

Except with the supposed 'luck' factor. Like with the level 3 thralls managing to hit Mordechai.

I'm not saying it can't happen. I'm saying probabilisticly, it just won't.

Nyla VS Prudence

Nyla concentrated and summoned the required power to manipulate and confuse the target's mind.
Prudence resisted the power.
Nyla steamed toward Prudence, with anima surging through her body.
Gripping her opponent by the collar, she launched Prudence into a wall, dislocating one of her bones.
Nyla blurred as she activated Celerity!
Nyla roared, anima flowing through her body as she attempted to cast Intimidate.
But Prudence resisted the power.
Prudence used the Feral Mutation power and began to morph into a war form, with huge, powerful appendages, claws and teeth.
Nyla used her telepathic abilities to attempt to overwhelm Prudence's mind.
The power succeeded and Prudence's mind was barraged with a stream of confusing and distracting thoughts.
Prudence blurred as she activated Celerity!
Cartwheeling sideways with just one hand on the ground, Nyla unleashed a spread of bullets at Prudence.
But Nyla's aim was poor, and all of the bullets were well wide of their mark.
Prudence raised her arms and summoned darkness, which swelled and flooded around the combatants like the shadow of a great storm cloud rolling overhead.
Groaning, Nyla stumbled around in the blanket of shadows.
Prudence blurred as she activated Celerity!
Nyla's fingers stretched out and morphed into massive razor-sharp claws.
Prudence used the Feral Mutation power and began to morph into a war form, with huge, powerful appendages, claws and teeth.
Nyla steamed toward Prudence, with anima surging through her body.
Nyla attempted to throw Prudence into a wall, but Prudence rolled with the lunge and tumbled mere feet.
Guns blazing, Nyla moved directly towards Prudence's position.
The bullets ricocheted off the surrounding walls, splintering debris everywhere.
Prudence concentrated and summoned the required power to manipulate and confuse the target's mind.
The power succeeded, and Nyla became disoriented.
Nyla stepped out of cover, stared down the gun sight, and fired multiple shots at Prudence.
Several bullets caught Prudence in the face!
Cartwheeling sideways with just one hand on the ground, Nyla unleashed a spread of bullets at Prudence.
But every shot was well wide of its mark.
Nyla stayed covered for what must have seemed to Prudence like minutes. Finally, she rose out from behind the cover and took a few quick shots at Prudence.
But every shot was well wide of its mark.
Abandoning cover, Nyla took a second to take aim, heedless of any dangers, and unleashed hot fury.
The bullets ricocheted off the surroundings as Prudence ducked for cover.
With superhuman agility, Nyla charged up a wall, using it to propel her self into a backflip, all the while firing a volley of bullets at Prudence.
Nyla's bullets missed.
Guns blazing, Nyla moved directly towards Prudence's position.
The bullets skimmed Prudence's flesh, grazing them and drawing blood but not causing any real or lasting harm.

Nyla leaned tight against a wall, moved into the open to fire two shots, and then ducked back into cover again.

Prudence ducked low, narrowly avoiding the storm of bullets.
Nyla leaned around the edge of cover, ignoring the danger posed by her enemy, and took her time in lining up a shot.
The bullets ricocheted off the surroundings as Prudence ducked for cover.
Nyla waited patiently for her clear shot, and then took it.
A bullet struck Prudence in the shoulder!
Nyla waited just long enough for Prudence's concentration to waver, and then stepped out of cover, firing a spread of bullets as she backtracked to the next wall.
Several bullets hit Prudence in the stomach and side!

Sensing she is outmatched, Prudence slipped away from the battle.
