This is probably the best way to go about this. We'd need to back up the code as it is and then remove all of the RP features at once, and see if it persists even then. I feel like it might. But this would mean no RPP for a while.Azraeth wrote:is there a way to safely/cleanly disable all of the RP updates? If so, we could potentially run a control test to see if that's the issue. Then add them one by one to find out what's causing the problem. It'd take a lot of testing - and I'm happy to do that.

Re: Error messages when sending private messages [c]
I noticed it seems to happen the most to recipients that (more than likely) have full mailboxes, is that just a coincidence or could maybe just increasing the inbox capability be an easier fix?
(ie: it NEVER has happened to a new Quartermaine player when I send the welcome to Q's message but it happens a LOT when messaging players that have been mostly active on and off for years or who are consistently active)

I'll clear out my inbox now. Could you spam me with like 20 different messages and see what happens?Alexandrea wrote:I noticed it seems to happen the most to recipients that (more than likely) have full mailboxes, is that just a coincidence or could maybe just increasing the inbox capability be an easier fix?

I don't think this would be the issue, but it's possible.
Back up plan: count how many of those 20 times fail, and let me know? That might give me some insight into what random factor is playing a part here.

Done.
Only two out of twenty didn't go through/gave me the error

Re: Error messages when sending private messages [c]
Thank you. That's interesting. It can't be a full inbox issue then, so it really does seem to be a random issue which makes me think it's one of the scripts doing it which are coded to fire off every like 1 in 20 times. I'll look into it a bit now, but I feel like I'm not going to see anything I hadn't already seen, which means we'll probably have to go with Josh' plan.
