I like this a lot. I've noticed that battle raids tend to be way less used than they formerly were.
Why do you think this is? Part of me thinks it's the bad EXP pay off (i. e. higher level players don't want to go into battle raids against gangsters), but at the last wendigo hive, almost nobody was there either.
I know with the wendigo hives, I tend to stay out of them due to the majority of my characters not being power heavy and therefore they're near impossible for me to beat. That's just my personal experience. The other battle raids for me were great, though. I always enjoy hunter raids when they pop - cash and EXP are fantastic incentive for me, I don't need to win them to like doing it.
The cap on raid winning also helps and hinders, I think. It helps those who haven't won a raid get a chance, but at the same time if you have to wait two months before a battle raid can move on because no one else can, it just gets boring and repetitive. I'll admit I haven't done them in sometime so I don't know if there's a time limit now on how long they last, but that's what I've observed in the past.
Honestly, it's one of the reasons I like the Labyrinth booting everyone out after a month and resetting itself. It's different every time and everyone gets to start all over.
New relics and bonus EXP exchanging as a prize is actually a really great suggestion.

Actually, it's only team raids that are on the two month cycle, the solo raids can all be won one every month. <3

As you said higher characters don't want to go into low xp raids due to that or already owning said relic. I've even heard it's difficult to sell some relics...it Seems there are too many players that have them.
Which is why I think there should be other prizes or awards for them. Never know what you might get. Maybe the relic...maybe something else...
The other issue for me..and maybe some other players are...that wendigo one is insane. I can't fiddle with my tactics enough. So...I've stopped going/trying. Others have too With that one
That is the truth there ... Its the Spirits there are very few players that can actually take on one of these raids and win it.

Totally all true

If I'm remembering correctly, David and I owe a new type of battle raid as it is. I've never made one before, but I could try my hand at it in the near future once I've cleared up a few other tasks.
If David approves of new relics, and having a variable reward (I. E. EXP, relic, maybe a decent weapon, super rare faeshard, or specialized gear (other than a relic), then I can work on making that happen though it would probably take a bit as I'd need to learn how to make relics, make raids, etc.
I'm keen on doing it if people are interested.
And yeah, it does kinda suck that wendigo hives are so difficult, especially when they last for weeks and weeks at a time. I know az would very much like to farm gangster raids (for diamond teeth), and paladin raids (for hunter's charms, sorc blood, and paladin blood).
I believe the hope was that they could be used by players to level characters by putting high exp payout NPCs in a small area. But yeah the spirits are a real pain to get past.
Maybe if someone put together a tutorial on the best way to beat them, that could help?
Barring that, putting a time limit on raids might be a good compromise, though that would for sure need David approval.

Well a tutorial for the stats required for sure .... I think that the problem is Every creature so far in the game havnt been magically geared .... So everyone has all their stats toward Melee type monsters ...and their stats just wont support hitting the spirits ... So its going to take a long time for them to get the levels to put into those stats now to go for those specific creatures .... and for one creature is it really worth Restating .... No ... So if there were a range of More magic based creatures that were easier to kill it might fill the void and help people that are slowly trying to build their stats to include them . If that makes sense

In order for Reanna to beat the spirits (she’s the only one I have that can), I had to change her tactics to no preference for ma and fa and turn off rigo. I did have her weapons unequipped, too, and that was all she could do to be able to kill them. She’s pretty power heavy, too. That’s a lot of work to kill an enemy, because I had to change all of it back to kill the other ones, so, yeah. I didn’t even try the raid on her - or anyone else - since they were the first floor enemies.
I wouldn’t mind a time limit, but yeah, maybe if there was something different we could do that someone has found to help kill them. :/

Also. Yes. Very much interested. <3 This all sounds like it could be wonderful, especially randomized loot. Not only would we get new things, but I think it’d have people keen on trying until they got the piece of loot they were after. :)

Becca busting out another great idea. We need these nice things. A boost in game play and moral for sure. Idle hands are never happy for long. #Beccasbadassideas
