There're some of your answers. There are other wonderful hints and tips available in the wiki, such as this gem regrading old rules on mating:

"The full text of this command, however, only seemed to specifically forbid coitus, and in an age where condoms were made out of intestines, it's not hard to imagine why. Of course, a few vampires interpreted this to mean that all other types of sexual intercourse were allowed, and indeed, there were less unwanted fadebeasts in early vampiric history as a result."

That suggests that contraception made of something more advanced than intestines may be of benefit. Hooray for science and technology! Either that, or shove your tackle in "other places"...

1000:1 not quite the same odds as 2:1, if my rudimentary knowledge of mathematics is anything to go by...

Clearly my boys are more pure that freshly driven snow, so all this jiggery-pokery won't effect them... but I'd like to think that half of Harper Rock's female population, whether vampire or human, doesn't have a 50:50 chance of exploding :)

Pathfinder Although you started off exhibiting the usual gifts and curses associated with one vampire path, you have slowly evolved to exhibiting, instead, the traits of one neighboring Path (for example, Necromancer or Allurist if you started as Killer). Roleplay only. (Not inheritable for bloodlines)

Just confirming, this means Pi would lose her Killer traits in favour of Allurist ones? (cause this RP power really really interests me.)

I don't see why not. The strongholds are just buildings where the battles take place, as far as I understand it. They aren't analogs for faction forts or anything like that.

Honestly, this question is best answered by the dice roller, which is there to give a realistic approach to conception in most cases, the exception being the 'Fadebeast Progenitor' curse. My advice would be to just use the dice roller.

Correct. She would start to exhibit the traits of an Allurist (if that's your call), instead of a killer. Meaning she would:

• Turn to ash when killed, instead of leaving a corpse behind.
• Feel emotions more strongly, as opposed to feeling detached from them.
• Be able to eat/drink with practice.
• Appear as a corpse in mirrors.
• Modify her age (though this takes a long time and is not voluntary).
• Possibly grow more beautiful (or ugly) with time.
• She would stop her killer muscle/height growth.

Though obviously it'd' be your call on how all of that plays out in RP, I. E. it probably wouldn't happen all at once, so there would probably be a time (of indeterminate length) where she would display certain traits of both. For example, she might gradually feel emotion more strongly. Or she might still leave behind a body when killed, but appear as a corpse in mirrors, etc. It wouldn't be an instantaneous thing.

The red portion, does that refer to a Bound Companion?

The yellow portion is made irrelevant by the wiki saying that birth control doesn't work.

For the instances listed which dice rolls are used? There's a hell of a difference between 1 in 2 and 1:1000.

No it doesn't. It refers to a sexual partner of the opposite sex.

I'd say that the result would be 1:1000, otherwise there would realistically be more reflection of damaged female vampires and humans on grid. If it were a 1:1 ratio, I'd suspect it would be almost impossible to cover up all the mortal woman deaths. Or, because that would be a pretty massive violation breach, there would be some grid mechanic to reflect a vampire impregnating a woman so she can be a veritable ticking time bomb.

That being said, none of what I said couldn't have been answered if you used the dice roller, which has a built in ratio to address exactly the concerns you mentioned.

If you're looking for more direction regarding what does and does not qualify as 'protection', you're going to have to wait for a developer, because I only know what David has said on the matter. For the time being, I'd suggest assuming that 'protection' refers to all preventative measure, such as: pulling out, taking a garden hose to...well maybe not. You get my drift though, I think.
