Maybe doing away with skirmish and anything violent and forcing vampires to have dance offs to settle disputes could fix everything!
Just tweak the battle code a bit and bam! Everyone in Harper Rock be busting a move.
I did mention that maybe.. the skirmish should be done away with completely.
However, let me warn you would could happen:
You will have characters that talk big and bad. Insulting IC.. Arrogant, crude.. etc. Another Character will what to call them out on it via.. BTTD or some such. The first character will refuse; as would be their right.
But then you have rp that degrades into who can insult who the most. Who can call a character the worst name possible. Who can slander who the most.
^^^ It is that type of RP that makes people leave the game as well.

I will weigh in with what I have said and really still stands for me ooc. I came here to write and rp. The grid was second but as with this character in particular I found it rewarding to have both grid and rp corresponding based on the rp events. I see the point made above by Doc muns player. I won't rage quit because of changes if they are made. I only hope with the amount of talent in the players pool both gamers and rpers there comes some sort of resolution.

This too, however, grid has and always will give more return in a lot of aspects imo. I've seen it this way for years-since day one, and altered my play style to better suit the game two to three years ago. Not sorry about it, don't feel bad about it, and had a lot more fun since I changed my style of play. If that makes me a hypocrite (which apparently it does), then so be it. I've only been playing how others have played years before me. Got one of the richest characters on path, got pretty decent leveled characters, high level rpers, relics, etc, etc from changing my game play.

I enjoy the Grid and the roleplaying actually the Grid brings the artist out in me and gives me more practice in that area. But, a suggestion I'd like to add.. Instead of custom crafting weapons which you charge karma to do, 5 or 10 I believe. Some of us can't really afford that.. maybe seeing how many of us have a **** load of cash.. turn it to that, this way the cash can be spread more so evenly through the game. :) Just saying if that made any sense.

There are ways to get free karma. That little amount will take ten weeks tops doing fb shares weekly.

You mean customising the image? Yeah it's 5 karma. As it's only an image thing, it has no other benefits in game, so I'm okay with charging for that customisation. Players do have the alternative of finding weapon parts they like the look of and assembling an image with that.
There will be plenty more things to waste all your in-game cash on though. People will be complaining their characters are too poor by the time we're done.

For me RP first, grid second. Though lately that's been the other way around, I don't have much to RP.
But I would never play a hardcore version. Piss off a group and bye bye, all that time spent for nothing. If path was like that, most chars in this thread alone would be gone. I hate games where people can kill you over and over again, so you can't get anything done. The offline battle thing was a very nice step up. I wish it was in a long time ago, maybe some of us wouldn't have died so much.

I actually miss how it used to be. A LOT. >.> lol.
It was why I joined Blood. I thought it was going to be like PoV was back at almost the start of Beta, as far as PvP and with Crow & the bounty stuffs at least. The conflict between5C and Ty was a blast. I miss that. I know a LOT of people did and will disagree with me but it was a lot more fun back then. I also was hoping the chapters would replay over again, so we could see what the different outcomes would have been like.

my .02 because of necro'd thread:
The way I see it is if a player here wants to stay in vacation mode permanently and only ever RP/interact through using the forums than they already can do this with the current system in place presently; and blood, pxp, items, stats, etc wouldn't even factor in as a problem ever so long as they didn't ever log in.
Don't throw away any babies with the bathwater!
