Re: Canon Q&A With David
Tainting the blood supply would only work on those with weakness to toxins unless tainting it with vampire blood in which case you could see a rise in necuratists and inadvertently end up supplying blood thieves with a new source of power.
Otherwise the vampiric immunity to toxins would render that fairly redundant a plan would it not?

What if what the blood was tainted with was the same thing that makes blood poison for Sang Bane holders?Ambrose Acheron wrote:Tainting the blood supply would only work on those with weakness to toxins unless tainting it with vampire blood in which case you could see a rise in necuratists and inadvertently end up supplying blood thieves with a new source of power.

Re: Canon Q&A With David
Relics might be an option, though one would imagine the relic itself being destroyed would destroy the effect. Typically in mythology/fiction relics are ancient and the means to simply reproduce them have been lost over the ages.
Not trying to be a buzz kill but Vampire blood as an additive or simply having it affect vampires in rp via the curse might be the way to go.

I don't think you're being a buzz kill at all. It helps to think of all the parameters. ^^Ambrose Acheron wrote:Relics might be an option, though one would imagine the relic itself being destroyed would destroy the effect. Based on the current lore, we can have a way of effecting a good population already via the Weakness to Toxins Curse... Maybe even dissolving whatever is in the Sangue Bane relic into a solution to effect the Vampires... Maybe use Vampire blood within the Blood Packs to make Vampires sick/turn them into Necrurats (sp?)
Or we could think outside the box and come up with a new strategy that fits within canon.
Maybe it's a magical solution/ritual that causes rabies’ like symptoms, makes them bleed profusely or just straight up kills them. Maybe the Sorcerers/Paladins/Blood Thieves could be the ones to poison the well…
ETA: Should we start a RP planning thread about this?

Re: Canon Q&A With David
I don’t really understand this description. <.<Telekinetic Shield
Descriptively, this power works as an invisible dome or force field which only lasts a few seconds, but is strong enough to deflect almost any attack. When hit, the shield will shimmer slightly like the surface of a soapy bubble.
In RP, the power only lasts for a few seconds?
Does the shield know the difference between good contact and bad contact so it only repels the bad kind of contact, i.e. an attack?
I’m sorry, I don’t understand how it works. >.<
I always thought Telekinetic Shield was like electroreception.
The Telepath casts an invisible dome around themselves (and others), like generating a field of energy in the immediate area. When something comes into that invisible dome of energy, the Telepaths can feel it. This would provide them with an “in-sight” to incoming attacks, helping them to dodge if needed and even counter-attack. Effectively, it increases their dexterity, their ability to dodge as it says so on the grid.
How far off base am I with my assumptions? LOL

Re: Canon Q&A With David
Going to be working my way through these a little bit at a time today!
Bear in mind, I'm new to the storyteller position, so if an answer seems off, David reserves the right (it is his game obvs), to correct something I've said.

I'd say not? I mean I am not the kind of person who believes in outright rejecting a premise, because under the right circumstances, a lot of things seem possible. However, most classed humans are significantly stronger than their pure human counterparts. In the case of the paladins, they actually become immortal (or appear to), and they get their power from tattoos all over their body. Paladins even weaken nearby vampires. So it doesn't make a lot of sense for me for Paladins, and by extension sorcerers to be enthralled. For all of the classed humans, the common theme is that they are survivors. It takes a lot of willpower and determination to live through the process of becoming a Paladin, Blood Thief, or Sorcerer. I think it would be extremely unlikely because thralls are the antithesis of what it means to be a classed human, but barring David flat declining it, I won't say no.Adelita wrote:Is it possible from an rp perspective for a vampire to enthrall a human of a supernatural class?
Thralls are enslaved humans with no will of their own, so it's likely they would be miffed, but it's unlikely they'd be able to, or possibly even want to do anything about it.I'm assuming so, but if it's possible, does it necessarily mean that those paladins, blood thieves, etc, etc, don't have those powers anymore (from an rp perspective) and are they automatically a willing and happy enthralled human or can you (if it's possible from an rp perspective, mind you) rp it that they are not so happy being enthralled anymore?
:)
