Image Telepathy allows a vampire to send images via mind link. Can they also send images they've seen in the past, part of their memories? Or would that require Memory Telepathy, meaning for Image Telepathy, only images of the immediate present can be sent?

Is it possible for someone to have turned and immediately go to the shadow realm, or would they have to die as a vampire before going there?

That could very well be a cause of the 'weakness to toxins' curse. Vampires are partially sub-conscious projections of themselves, so how they view themselves, their abilities, etc would have at least a nominal and potentially very large impact on the way something like nicotine effect them.

But yeah, a vampire could smoke regardless of whether or not they are cursed. They have lungs (as evidenced by their ability to speak), so mechanically it would work. The only thing that would be variable would be how much of an impact that smoking has, and that would be (as Alexandrea said) based on the character's curses and paths.

Could you then argue that they have a heart beat?

I haven't seen it referenced anywhere that they actually don't. It's possible I've missed it, but, to my knowledge it hasn't been said straight-out: A Vampire no longer has a pulse. And I personally would use the reasoning you gave for being able to speak and for the fact that they 'think therefore they are' as a way to explain why they would have a pulse, a beating heart.

This is super minor, but what is a jorogumo cocoon? Jorogumo are spider-like creatures, but cocoons are formed by holometabolous insects. Spiders aren't insects and don't form cocoons, so wtf is the cocoon?

Spiders can form cocoons to my knowledge.

Usually to wrap the spiderlings in.

I think roleplaying it either way would be fine. I see the fun in either option.
