This sounds balanced and fair. To me, it naturally follows that more role play leads to more rewards that have a role play value, just as actions on the grid lead to more exp that enables a character to continue to level up on the grid. Being able to get some exp, that can be used to help level a character on the grid, from posted RP seems fine, as long as it doesn't cause an imbalance.

That would address the concern I had with the change. :D

I do enjoy the sound of this. :)

I have a question about the paetron stuff.

I guess, I'm confused...like I buy karma from time to time. I'm trying to understand why one route verses the other is 'better' or something. Or maybe, bad?

Like if i join the paetron thing, do I still get karma? I see i get to put input on what you work on David, but how do I do that? Do I pm you my request, or is there something that gives me options or?

Anyone? David mostly?

When you sign up on the Patreon page as a patron and make a pledge, he will send you a message there, on Patreon, asking where you'd like your Karma sent and which project you would like him to work on. Essentially, no matter which tier you join, whatever you pledge, you will get 150% of your investment as Karma. You can actually split the Karma as well, and send it to multiple characters across any of his games, or you can send it all to one place.

okay, so I am reading you get more karma and can split it between Path, Rise and Blood? You're losing nothing, right? Like, I'm not giving, say 50 bucks and not being able to utilize that in any respect?

So, why doesn't everyone just become a paetron then? >.> rofl.

Both the website and Winter explain it better than I can (https://www.patreon.com/mooncalfstudios/posts)

but the short answer is yes you still get all your karma.

Depending upon what you decide to autopay monthly, you'll get karma (at least, plus others stuffs depending on your amount) monthly in addition to whatever you buy or earn in any other various ways.

ETA

and cus not everyone wants to pay a set amount every month, is why not everyone would do it. :) <3

This. I've already signed up myself, the day he put it up. I was short for the first month for the $50 pledge, but I fully intend to change that for next month and forward. But yes, this is very much a great deal just from the karma perspective alone, and towards the amount of time that David will be able to devote to the game itself is frankly one of the best benefits period. >.> Provided enough people sign up, of course. But I can totally confirm that the karma is 150% of your investment. I put in $10 for this month and got 15 points. These things do not happen at the same time, so you'll have to be patient and not freak out, lol.

As for the quoted bit, I know some people may keep money in different places like I do, like savings and checking and credit, stashed cash, etc. etc. etc. (Three bank accounts and a credit card here. <.<) Paypal, I learned, will try the first account on your list, and if it's declined, will go down the list of accounts you add to it until it finds the one that can actually afford your automated purchase. I found that kind of cool. Paypal also can cover your purchase, and you can pay it back later, much like a line of credit. I know that might open up the option for some people and I'm all for providing information that might help anyone out with this.

And yes. It's auto-pay on the first of the month, every month.

Just to add to what others have said: I pay people the karma (and any other rewards) on the 1st of the month, around the same time payments go in.

You can also cancel your subscription at any time.
