Just curious as to why we're getting rid of unknowing.
IDK if I understand the thinking on that or understand why-to be fair...I've been drinking a few glasses of wine. HOWEVER, from my pov...I'm thinking like...what if someone gets a character's name from robbing and I don't want them to have it...is there any way to undo that? I imagine there's a list of names you know and don't know still, right?
Does that make sense?
though, in fairness, I guess who cares if they knew an id as vampire or human...actually, is that list gone now? Like in that menu since it doesn't matter anymore?
><

That's actually an excellent idea, if I understood the first part properly. I could add it back in repurposed to remove a memory of an attack or a hack or something, but it'd have to be WAY harder to perform.

Maybe I'm completely missing the point here, so my apologies if this sounds ridiculous, but if there is no longer a known identities list then surely:
a) nobody can be added to the list, because it doesn't exist
b) nobody can be removed from the list, because nobody was added to it in the first place because the list no longer exists
Events such as catching someone stealing or being attacked could be removed from the alert log by using a ritual of some sort, but the name of the offending character cannot be removed from the list because there is no list.

That's the only way I'm ever able to understand anything. Path should be sponsored by Jack Daniels.

I'm keeping the alerts, but not the recognition list. The reason for that is so that people can roleplay spotting people feeding, etc, if they need a reason to attack vamps or whatever.

Yes, I know. That why I made my full point. There is no list anymore, so you cannot add or remove people to or from it, but removing memories of stealing, hacks, or attacks is changing the alert log, so it's a different subject. Therefore, the "excellent idea" involves changing the alert log, and is nothing to do with the recognition list, because the recognition list no longer exists.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear, sorry! Perhaps I should also drink some wine

Yeah I meant removing the alerts only via the ritual. I wasn't talking about the ritual. The purpose would be to remove an alert from a target's memory before they get a chance to see it.

Yes! I thought that's what you meant
I had a bedtime whisky, so clarity is now my friend.
That would be interesting. You could attack someone, perform the ritual, and the victim would have no idea who had attacked them
