Hey! Hi there!
Check out the wiki, I know it looks like a lot to read but it really isn't too bad. And do DO the tutorial but don't rush to finish. Free energy refills as you complete each task you can use to gain exp with. Also, do NOT be scared to ask questions! We're a pretty helpful bunch and we don't bite too much.
Most importantly? Have fun! ;)

Welcome to Path!
You only have a limited number of actions that you can perform with your energy allowance. For instance, moving on the "world map" will generally cost 0.2 energy, while moving indoors will cost you 0.1 energy.
Are you using the Tutorial at the moment?
This will teach you pretty much everything you'll need to know. Be sure to complete your objectives, which will raise your energy to 50 each time (but only while you are in the Tutorial Zone).
Once you've finished the Tutorial, you'll only be able to regenerate energy over real time. Generally you'll get about 6 energy points per hour, depending on your Stamina.
I hope that helps a bit.
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask! There are so many tips we can give you.
It might also be worth going into the OOC chats for instant advice. You can access this via the Game (grid) by clicking on the left hand drop down and clicking Chats.

Hi there, Welcome to Path! :) Myk's advice is golden, esp., the part about getting the most out of that tutorial hub.
Also keep in mind that even after you complete the checklist you can stay in the hub until level ten. It's a bit more easy for some activities like picking pockets and feeding, and a great place to hang out while you learn the robes. :)
There's seems to be a lot to read at the wiki (link at the top off the forum) but just read it a little at a time and don't hesitate to ask for help or to ask questions. We're a pretty friendly bunch.
Get in touch with Kane Lynch (your vamp's sire) asap, too. They're very kewl.
And part of my gal Alex's family which means you'll find you have access to the Quartermaine boards.
Glad to have another Q around! Woot! ;) lol

Hello, just finished tutorial and was wondering how exactly to proceed. I kinda get the game aspect but I am very interested on roleplaying above all else. I've been to a more traditional site years ago and this is a bit of a departure for me. Any advice or helpful directions would be great. :) Looking forward to getting to know some of you around here.

Welcome!
I think to proceed in the roleplay environment, all you need do is write! Open a thread somewhere, someone will likely jump in. All you need to know is that Harper Rock is set in Canada - currently in the middle of Winter. If you want your character to start out oblivious to all of the supernatural, you and he can then learn at the same time, as things occur in the roleplay.
Do you have any goals in mind for Marcus? Anything specific you want to do with him?

Welcome to Path, Marcus Donald Valentine!
Check out the Wiki for more inspiration too! History of vampires and Harper Rock will help you feel your way though! :)

Yeah, before all else, I suggest reading the wiki. It's filled with amazing information that will help you gain your footing - I know it helped me a lot. Also, if you want to write, you can also post in the Roleplay OOC an idea or plot you may have for your character, and see if you get any bites. There are some lovely people that love to write and are open to just about anything, you just have to poke around and find them.
Hope you enjoy your time here!
