A light smile graced her lips as he instantly moved to flip through the pages of his book to get the ingredients needed for any of the rituals that he might need. It was good to know that she could be helpful so that the items that she had been sitting on won't be wasting away. Any items that he didn't have written that she could remember that her ex needed, she would pass them along as she came across them. It was a step forward to make sure the events were safe. She knew that she would have to move outside the safety of the building should things escalate and harm might come to him should he leave the building. She would be the first out and teleport to safety in order to summon him. Progress.
He was polite and didn't mind that Chelsea remained on the couch. Looking at her bright red curls before she looked back at him. "She can always join us when she wakes. Do you have a spare bedroom or do you mind that she occupies your own?" Lizzie gave him a choice as she wasn't one to invade other peoples homes without permission. Manners was always the foundation to a good relationship and she was taught well when she was a human that carried over with her to this life. "Thank you for your kindness and care." A low growl slipped from her as she thought about her daughter getting into the wrong hands and she was instantly on her feet as she began to pace. She rarely showed her violent side because it was looked down by Lux because that was the influence of Muga in her mind. "I will tear this city apart if she is in the hands of the wrong person to get her back." Closing her eyes as she straightened her suit jacket to pull herself back inward to compose herself. "My apologies, please forgive me." Her voice was soft and collected as she opened her eyes and turned back toward him.
Her mind was forced to focus on the matters at hand and her concern waned on the thought of weapons that could be used against vampires. Weapons that could keep them imprisoned and unable to use their powers. Was it possible to make such weapons and were they already being tested? Her thoughts were on the Paladins as they loathed the vampire race and knew ways to hurt them. Shaking her head as he hoped that they were humane. "Humane methods would be a blessing but I honestly doubt that would be the case." She pondered carefully over his words before she tilted her head. "Paladins know quite a bit about us and how we function. However, I do not think that they have anyway of preventing us from gaining our magical essence, yes much like you for your abilities. I do not believe that there is such an ability and if there is, they have not used it, at least to my knowledge because that sort of information would have been passed through the vampire community unless.... A deep set frown rested on her lips as her eyes darted to him. "Unless the vampires hypothetically tested on never survived and if this is a plausible option, they we are all in trouble because what would stop the Paladins from stopping at just vampires? There are many Blood Thieves and some Sorcerers that have works along side of vampires. They would take all precautions to take all those that help vampires."
He spoke of the world even as she pointed out that peace was possible but he had valid points. Nodding her head as he spoke on the negative points. "Our world does have a tragic history and history tends to repeat itself when people do not play close enough attention. It takes hard working individuals to change history. It takes a single person to create a ripple and many others that it is effected by those ripples to help create a better world. I am willing to continue creating those ripples." She was hopeful and remained thinking positive because she had to. If she let the negative thoughts of events that were more practical as a vampire, she would be no better than those that got this city in the state that it currently was in. Changes had to be made.
As he spoke on his thoughts, she took each word carefully as she mulled them over. The Jorogomo and Encantado were wild cards but those were cards that she would currently deal with as they came about. The fae had to be kept at a distance until someone knew how to control them or she would at least need to find a way to protect herself from them as she was notorious to providing her head wounds. Some of the wounds were beneficial when she was hurt enough that she once forgot about her past before she was forced to remember and all those hurt feelings filled her, almost crippling her. She just nodded her head and kept her notes to herself as she would wait and see how those particular beings affected their duties at over turning these horrible restrictions. She might see what Elders were around and who might be willing to help. It was time that she seek them out and see what they had to say, maybe even some of the older humans that might share the same goal.
Perking her brow at him before she nodded her head. "It might be a fickle thing but you would be surprised as to how many people might share the same goal. No one wants what is going on out in the city. We do not need all the added military and we do not need to be neutered. After they are done with vampires, who is to say that they will not go after super humans that have abilities that they do not understand. We just have to reach out to some people and some of those people have influence. I will take care of that as they come from my side with a few from your side. These are people who have been here for a very long time and want to keep their families safe for various reasons. I will keep my daughter out of these events as she is too young and some of the Elders might have an issue with her except one family line that I do not belong to that had guarded a human child for years. Trust me with this task."
Nodding her head at all that he listed for wanting to reach out and smirked. "You can start with that but I will reach out and pull together a collective. You are more than welcome to join us as you share the same goal even though you are still very young to your abilities. Even toddlers learn to walk before they run and this might give you some insight. Most of those that come probably will not be in the military database and we need to keep it that way as those microchips have no business being under the skin of our race. This might work but there are many ripples in a lake and these people can be those ripples." She was speaking in a confident tone though she was unsure how the Elders might take to her proposal knowing the things that she had done in the past but many didn't blame her...they blamed her ex that had talked her into such events which might be her saving grace. Or so she hoped because if not...she might die that night. Only time would tell.
As he stared at the ceiling, she nodded before moving to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Yes but have faith and trust me to get the ball rolling. I have connections and I have been here a very long time so I know many even if they deem me an enemy. They will come for a common goal."
