I Thought that WHEN I SAID PM DAVID TO ASK HIM TO SURRENDER THE TERRITORY WITHOUT A BATTLE . That it would give the distinct impression that the function wasn't operable within the game and you could have requested it That is what Dan Did with Luffy and a Territory Ty challenged them for.

You were NOT ignored You gave 2 options one of them was that PI showed up and surrendered.
Surrender was not a option for Voodoo .
We did not rp that she was killed . You keep saying that when we did not
There are other ways to get a body part as ive pointed out

This could have been settled via pm and the suggestion for the option to flee could have been put in suggestions along with the Surrender option once the battle had been declared .

With respect, you were told what the options were. You chose to ignore those options, and relied your memory of what would happen.

Was there a misunderstanding, yes. It was your misunderstanding. And due to that misunderstanding your character was killed.

You had posted.. that (paraphrase) Hindsight was 20/20; which I took to understand, you saying 'I messed up.. my bad. Game on' Meaning Pi died.

I did not take it as.. "I messed up.. my bad, I want everyone to pretend Pi did not die.'

In the RP, Mortll gave Doc the finger. He checked her memories. She had died.

It was that simple.

From that I can only assume They care more about writing RP about killing Pi and handing off body parts than being considerate of all of those things. And that's what I judge harshly.

Lora has been exemplary through this whole thing. She did a lot more to offer you options than I think a lot of people would have. I don't think assuming the worst about her (or any other player) is either productive to your situation or finding a solution. It's also very uncomfortable because this is a public thread, and it can't help but come across at least a little bit like public shaming.

Though again, that's why I normally would want to handle these things privately.

I think you just want some basic human respect. I get that. But you also need to show that same basic human respect to VD players. That starts by owning your part in this whole mess and accepting that there were cards on the table you could have played, and didn't. And that unfortunately means Pi died.

I don't think expecting everyone to change or ignore that is a reasonable request.

I also understand why you're not happy about the situation. I don't blame you for it. I would be frustrated to.

But at the same time, it's also frustrating for VD players. This wasn't a 'gang up' type situation. Territories are voluntary PVP. VD played the game exactly the way it was meant to be played, and has, since before the beginning of the battle, been dealing with this very public situation which was essentially forced on them.

I personally think that after 10 days, this whole situation has gone on long enough. So the only thing I really have to say at this point is that I think we've moved past the time for making demands and into the time for finding ways to patch the problem and smooth it over.

I agree with adding a surrender/forfeit button.

I don't think Pi's death can be reasonably avoided unless everyone unanimously agrees.

I don't have any opinion on the trophy taking. I've never been into that aspect of the killshot RP thinger. It's just not my bag. However Pi is a killer. Her body parts remain after having been severed. If, on the grid, someone hacked off an arm, they would believably have a finger.

Again, I get that - that is frustrating for you because it's out of your control. But that's the face of this situation. It's not necessarily a pretty face, but it's the one we've got.

So that being said, is there a solution you can propose that bears the above in mind? If not, then I honestly think it's best if we just kind of drop this situation and everyone should walk away so things don't become more tense. That's just my thoughts on the matter.

I told someone oocly about another person dying when not around. I even implied such a few times that people just don't get booted. David is only one person. He's forgotten a couple things to which very recently I and others pointed things out. It happens that he forgets. He's human. Not knowing updates or ignoring people isn't our fault.

Yeah, as has already been said, those invading Pi's territory didn't have to do anything they were asked to do. It might have been very kind of them if they had, but it's a competitive game so they aren't under any compulsion to listen to requests to not kill people, etc. Moreover, if you die on grid you die in roleplay.

I'm not saying that if a person is killed on grid than it shouldn't be acknowledged IC, I'm saying that if they're killed then that player should be contacted before any IC RP is done to describe said kill. The player of the killed character should have some input on how it went down.

Having input on how it went down is a fair request, but from what I gather there has been no descriptive roleplay about it, and the trophy finger thing doesn't seem like god modding. Characters are allowed to claim she didn't put up a fight, even if she did (though I agree that's a silly thing to say, given the fact that her standing still and not fighting back was due to OOC circumstances). But either way, I don't really see god modding. Am I misunderstanding the situation?

I totally do forget things all the time. I've taken on too much responsibility all over the place, and Path is hugely confusing some days, so I forget little details fairly often.

Thanks David, this wasn't an issue about god modding, and I really do disagree about Pi's history. But it really looks like I need to just let it go.

In that too, I believe Josh is right in that I just expected something else. And while you're here, is it possible to get a forfeit button at some point? That would be nice.
