Blair didn't make it very far before the other two bikers descended upon her. She looked around briefly for Cedric and didn't see him. Great, he sired her and left her to her own devices. These men were mere humans and Blair now had a renewed strength. She was sure that when she was human she could have still taken them on and won. She didn't want to have to kill any of them. The blonde sighed and used the biker she had as a shield while the two other bikers went to hit her.

Blocking the hits, she threw the third biker to the ground and readied her fists. "Look, come on. Just move a long before anyone has to get hurt." She threatened.

'You're the only one who's gonna get hurt darlin' '

Of course they wouldn't do this the easy way, no one ever did. Blair advanced on the two bikers, flinging her fists at one's face and then turned to kick at the other. One was knocked back, but the other advanced on her grabbing her arm. She growled lowly and swung her other arm out to knock into the male's nose. The one who had fallen got up and ran off. She was down to two. The one she had picked for dinner and this other fool.

Blair checked on the biker she had knocked down, the one for food. He was still laying there. Good. She watched the fool biker start towards her. A shake of her head was given before she throat chopped him and sent the man flying back gasping for air. That did it and he took off in the other direction. This left her dinner. She advanced on the male just as he was getting up and put him back in her hold before pushing him towards the alleyway again.

This time she was successful and still no sign of Cedric. She'd have to do this part on her own, she supposed. The blonde felt the fangs extend and she descended upon his neck, taking in his blood pump by pump. It was too good and she had no desire of stopping.

Cedric was never too far away. He kept his distance, shrouded in shadow so as not to interrupt. Twice he saw Blair search the area, looking for him; he didn’t feel the need to poke out a hand from his shadowy enclosure to wave, to reassure her. Nor did he feel the urge to stop the men who ran off – as tempting as it was to taunt them about having their asses kicked by a girl. They’d barely put up a fight.

The Shadow moved closer to the hidden Blair and the one man left behind; the one she’d decided was going to be her meal. With his arms crossed over his chest Cedric leaned against the brick wall. Even from here he could smell the blood. It inspired within him a thirst he knew he would have to sate, eventually. Turning Blair had taken it from him, and part of him wished he’d not turned down the offer. One good look at the guy Blair had chosen for victim, however, and he shuddered. No, it wasn’t his taste.

Aware of their previous conversation and knowing the girl wasn’t inclined to kill – despite being a hired assassin – he stepped forward. Two steps closer and he could hear the beat of the human’s heart, thundering in his chest, fighting for his survival. Another step and he knew it was bordering on too long. If she kept going, she would kill him. The shadows dissipated like air-borne ink and Cedric reached out a hand, laying it heavily on Blair’s shoulder.

”You can kill him if you want,” he said. And she could – it was no skin off Cedric’s shoulder, and the guy could have assaulted her if she were a weaker target. They all could have. In Cedric’s opinion, he deserved death. A harsh punishment, sure, especially given Cedric’s own methods, but…

”But if you don’t, I advise you stop…” he said, his grip tightening on Blair’s shoulder.

The blood tasted so good. Oh so good. It was sating the thirst that had risen while they were walking around the town to find someone to sink her fangs into. She wasn't really aware when the hand landed on her shoulder. She was marveling in fact that the blood tasted so good. She didn't think she would actually like the blood but she did. So much so that she was close to killing the man.

However, when the words hit her it caused a ringing through her ears and caused her to freeze up. She retracted her fangs and looked at the wound that was left from her fangs. She looked over at Cedric and then back at the human. Her eyes were wide and she stepped back. "I almost killed him..." The blonde stuttered out her words and took another step back.

"Now what do I do? Do I leave him here or do I put him somewhere?"

Her hands started to shake. Blair had killed people before, obviously. Somehow this was different, she didn't know if this male was truly bad or not. She had no idea and he hadn't been assigned to her. These rules are different and Blair wasn't sure she would be able to keep up.

”You did,” Cedric concurred, clearly unfazed. If he’d been the one standing in Blair’s position, he’d have drained the guy dry. Cedric stared at the dazed man trying to summon the least amount of empathy, of sympathy, of care. Even of mercy. But there was nothing. The pianist didn’t have to stop an ask himself what that made him – if it made him a monster, he had absolutely no qualms.

”Leave him here,” Cedric said, already wandering away from the scene, his hands back in his pockets. ”He will wake up with a headache, and he will not know what has happened to him. He will not remember,” Cedric said. He could not say as much for the guy’s friends – but then they hadn’t been witness to the women sinking fangs into their comrade’s flesh. As far as he knew, who they assumed to be a weak woman had instead knocked him out. He would take crap for it for months. Maybe he would never live it down.

”Should we find someone else or do you think you’re satisfied for the night?” he asked. If she really didn’t want to kill people and doubted her ability to control herself, then she’d have to just drink from blood bags – as much as she didn’t seem to like the idea. An international assassin, Cedric assumed that Blair would be independent enough to take care of herself, and to make her own decisions. Even if she did need a hand to hold, that hand would not be Cedric’s.

Blair let the body drop and she stepped away. It wasn't her concern anymore now that she knew he'd be fine and wouldn't remember that she had drained almost all of his blood. She was going to have to find a store and stock up on blood bags. She didn't want to end up killing someone that was innocent. That was the difference between her job and this. The people she killed weren't innocent. They were horrible creatures and they deserved it.

Hands fell to her hips and she eyed her sire up. Well, it was a shame he was now her creator, they could have had a good rough and tumble. She didn't see him like that anymore. She probably never would. "I think I'm alright. I should probably find a place to stay before the sun goes up. I'm going to need my own apartment since it looks like I'll be staying in Harper Rock. At least, this is where I'll come home to after my missions."

She wasn't going to stop looking for the man who killed her parents. She also wasn't going to stop being who she was. This new strength would help her and she'd become a top class assassin. She wondered then if anyone else on the force had supernatural powers. More than likely, vampires were always hiding among societies.

”I have an apartment you can use,” Cedric said. With all the money coming in from all business fronts, he’d managed to make a few investments. One such investment was currently empty; an occupant had broken lease, and a new occupant had not yet been found. His own apartment was too small, and, childe or not, he would not risk the temptation.

He glanced sideways at his newest as they walked away from the scene, from the unconscious man on the alley floor. Whether he died or not due to his lack of blood Cedric couldn’t rightly care. Although Cedric had sired before, his childer were independent and, beyond the first week or two of lessons they didn’t require his aid. Nor did they heave unreasonable expectations upon him. They were grown people, and he was not their father. It looked as if Blair would be the same.

”You can keep using it. Or you can use it until you find something more to your tastes. Just let me know your movements,” he said. They’d have to head back to his own apartment so that he could collect the keys for the place.

”And there’s plenty more you’ll need to know. More that will happen to you, as you change. As time passes, and you grow stronger. I am here to help, as much as I am able. Tomorrow night, we’ll go over some things,” he said. Blair seemed ready to go home.

"I can pay you for it, like rent it?" She wasn't one about freeloading whether she was his childe or not. Once she had her powers and this whole vampire thing, she'd be able to start taking on her jobs and get her contract money. The blonde sighed and ran a hand through her hair. This was going to be harder than she thought it was.

She nodded and started to follow him back to his apartment. "So we can get the keys and then head to this new place. I think we both need to sleep and start fresh tomorrow night? Right?" She was ready to take a shower and curl up with fluffy blankets. She hoped this apartment had some. Blair wouldn't complain though, at least she'd have somewhere to sleep and be safe for the night.

Her thoughts rambled on as she walked with Cedric towards his apartment. This would be her life now. This she would have to get used to.
It was going to be tougher than she would have ever thought.

Cedric nodded.

"You'll find that you will sleep regardless of whether you want to or not -- as soon as the sun rises. To resist the pull of the sun takes practice, and time. As for rent -- see if you like the place, first. Pay rent if it makes you feel better," he said. It didn't bother him one way or another; the apartment was bought and paid for, owned. There were no repayments. The rent might help pay for the body corporate fees, of course, though Cedric barely noticed those coming out of his account. He glanced sideways, watching Blair in her seeming agitation -- as mild as it was.

"There are pros and cons. Eventually you may find that the pros outweigh the cons. You will be stronger, more agile. Immortal," he said. For all the cons that plagued Cedric, if he could go back and was actually given a choice about who and what he would become, he would still choose to become a vampire. It was, in his opinion, worthwhile. They were larger than life. Cedric's gaze lifted skyward, considering his life now compared to what it had once been. He missed his child, his Alaya, but that was all that he missed.

"I think you'll be fine," he said. And he truly did.
