Day of Restoration: Festival at Redheart Arena

[Aliyah]

She couldn't help it. She laughed, doubled over. The fact that Skylar had no idea the extent to which she discussed Ric said all there was to say. The girl was head over heels, and she drove those around her nuts with the amount of Ric talk. If Ali wasn't so close to Sky, she would have shut the girl up ages ago. But, it had never really come down to that, and so she had let the girl talk her heart out.

"You really do, Sky. It's kind of gross, how in love you are," she agreed with a giggle, trying to calm down her laughter so that she was in control. As her blue orbs shifted to Nate, she wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Wanna be a groupie, little brother?" she asked, smirking.

[Skylar]

I pout. I am in love with him. Lord only knows why but I am.
“I swear I’m not usually that kinda girl. Honestly I’ve never had a relationship last this long before. We’re coming up on 5 months. Though I’m kinda counting the months he didn’t know we were dating too, cos we were.”
I know how that sounds and so I try to shrug it off.
“We mainly play alternative rock. It’s strictly covers only tonight, no original stuff. Or at least we’re not allowed to play original stuff and…”
I move so I can remove Ali’s hand from Nate’s shoulders and replace it with my own.
“He can’t be my groupie if he’s got you hanging off him. He has to be mine.”
I laugh and gently squeeze Nate, pulling him closer to me. I have to remind myself to be gentle too cos I’m wicked strong.

[Dhara]

She listened quietly, nestled against Ali's side. She some how managed to keep her place as Ali had hysterics over Skylar's rather shocked reaction to just how much she talked about Ric. Sure Dhara could be that way about Calen, but she liked to think she talked about other things. Nate's voice caught her attention and she turned to listen to what he was saying. When Ali chuckled again and put an arm around the boy, Dhara found herself squished between Nate and Ali. She very carefully extracted herself and took in the group. They were all a family of sorts and suddenly Dhara felt very lonely, but she didn't let that bother her.
"It's okay, Skylar. I think all women can be that way when they find some one they love." She finally said, after having stared at the group for a little to long in silence.

[Wendigo]

The smell of spilled beer almost overpowered the stench of humans and vampires mixed together in this dangerous corral. Sheep and wolves pretending to be sheep... some so well they had forgotten what they were.

His attention drifted from conversation to conversation... nothing interesting so far. Social interactions seldom were.

He didn't mean to, but he loomed at the empty table: it was no wonder he sat alone. Even wearing an alert and expressive human face, it was impossible to entirely conceal his Killer-self. The cheap furniture was not fooled, and it strained under his weight.

The illusion had other drawbacks as well: his fingers drifted absently over the open flame of the centerpiece: an unusually human behavior for him. Wearing these guises, sometimes he too was guilty of forgetting his nature.

[Nate Hawthorne (DELETED 5464)]

"What covers are you gonn be doing? Or do I just have to wait? I understand if I have to wait. Don't want to ruin anything." When he was excited, he tended to ramble and forget his anxiety but much of it came back after Skylar removed Ali's arm and replaced it with her own. "I don't think I can be a groupie. I don't know how."

[Aliyah]

Aliyah scanned the room as Skylar removed her arm, though she had shot the woman a look before doing so. Her gaze eventually landed on Wendigo. It was odd, to say the least, that he always happened to come around when she out. If she felt he was the teasing type, she might have suggested her was a stalker, but he certainly wasn't. So, she simply offered the male a slight nod of acknowledgement before returning her attention to the group she was with.

"D, only you can stick up for Skylar right now, because you are the only other one in love," she teased of her human friend, tugging the woman in close to her side. After all, Skylar had stolen her brother away from her. How rude.

[Busty StClaire]

Walking the perimeter of the room, unsure of how to act, Beverly found a waitress with bottled water. Liberating one, she took a sip hoping to calm her nerves, now that she was surrounded on all sides, by strangers. Suddenly she caught a glimpse of Skylar talking to a woman she had just met, Aliyah, her sires sister. Carefully slipping through the crowd the fledgling allurist drew near

[Dhara]

She happily snuggled against Ali's side. She, too, had caught sight of the man at the table and he made her nervous. But she decided not to focus on that, and instead turned her focus back to the conversation. Standing there chatting was helping the alcohol clear her system, though the taste still lingered on her tongue and she tried not to make a face over it. "Well yes, I am ridiculously, blissfully, insanely in love. But I have a feeling you're heading there, too." She teased the woman, her own too thin arm sliding around the blondes waist to give her a squeeze, her grin was mischievous, as if she knew something the rest of the group didn't.

[Skylar]

“Yeah”
I say as I begin to back Dhara up.
“You can’t talk. You’re shacked up with someone now too.”
I smile over at Nate.
“As for you babe. All you have to do to be a groupie is a adore me. And I’m very adorable, so that shouldn’t be a problem. As for the songs, just wait.”
I wink at him. I’m teasing of course. I like pushing boundaries though, so this kind of thing comes natural to me. Besides, it’s not like I could hit on the kid, I don’t know he’s age but he’s clearly too young for me, and he’s more like Ali than Ric in temperament, or so it seems; though I don’t righty know the kid so I could be wrong. He doesn’t seem like an arsehole though, I’d probably be attracted to him if he was. I kinda knew Ric was on sight.

[Aliyah]

Her eyes widened at Dhara's comment on her relationship, since she had yet to say such a thing. She and Forsyth had been together for about a month now, and she was happy with where it was. But, there had been no usage of the 'L' word, and that was mutual. On his end, anyway. He was the more insistent one, but she really didn't know how she felt. Not really. But, apparently, Dhara knew.

At Skylar's teasing, she shot a kick at the woman's shin. "Hey, don't tease my brother like that! Girl, he is way too young for you!" she said, waving a finger at her blonde hair friend. Sometimes, Sky was too much to handle in her openly bubbly and touchy ways. This was one of those times. "You are limited to one Hawthorne at a time!"

It was then that Beverly came upon them and she grinned, "Hello, Beverly. How are you tonight?"
