While Nix wasn't certain what a drib or a drab was, but she figured it didn't much matter. She'd done it again - sired a ******* nutter. "You're in a place called the Citadel. It's my cave and it's safe. You choked to death; I think the pressure change when I teleported you here collapsed your lungs or something. Anyway, I turned you to keep you alive - all problems solved." She smiled, and then immediately flung a hand up to cover her eyes.
"Good God! I don't know where you're from, but here in these parts, we generally don't strip in front of people we've just met!" Unless the person in question was a stripper. Maybe Simone was a stripper... Hm. That certainly would have explained it.
"You're not ******* crazy... Your world just got weird. I'll let you figure that out on your own, though. Just don't do anything dumb. Are you hungry?"
Without waiting for an answer, the redhead pushed herself to her feet and made her way to the mini fridge she kept well stocked with blood packs. They were cold, but they'd do for now. One was evenly portioned into two mugs, quickly warmed in the microwaved, and then brought to Simone.
"I did say you'd be fine, did I not?"

Re: [ARPC] The Bag Lady
There was a sneaking suspision and a little niggling doubt in her mind that this all wasn't a hallucination. There were things happening that she was sure she couldn't have dreamed up and made up. What she felt underfoot felt real. What she heard sounded real. What she smelt, smelt real. Her mind re-found the memory of the crazy man, shouting about vampires and she couldn't help but think that that was before things got really weird, and before she'd thought her hallucinations had started. Then Shriek had popped up, told her about vampires, then they'd.... teleported, and again, more about vampires. But then, then came the memory of the fangs - right before she'd passed out.
"**** me!"
It was real. All of this was real. Vampires were real. And she'd just got naked in front of one of them!
"Well, ****!"
It was hardly her most intelligent conversation, and she suddenly realised that she was not coming off well in this situation. Shriek said that she'd turned her, and according to the films she'd seen, not only did that mean that she was now a vampire too, but that Shriek was her.... what was the word..... maker. This was a hell of a lot to take in all at once, but the question of her hunger and the smell of the warm blood had her stomach rumbling. She nodded her head as her tongue ran along her top teeth, and the frown settled onto her forehead again.
"Ummmm.... I.... don't have fangs. Is that.... normal?"
No, what wasn't normal was that question! Never in her life did she think that question would pass her lips!
"And, uhh, sorry. About the nakedness. I just, I thought, well, I thought you were something my imagination had conjured up. I'm not shy, but I'm not usually that blatant either! So, sorry if I offended you, but, when you say not to do anything dumb...... What do you mean exactly?"

Re: [ARPC] The Bag Lady
Once she'd given Simone her mug, Nix dropped back into her seat and sipped as she spoke. Not one to beat around the bush in situations like these, she opened her mouth and pulled her lips back, pointing to normal canines. "No fangs," she stated after closing her mouth, but when she smiled again, those canines had lengthened to twin sabers. "Fangs. They come down when you're about to feed; you'll learn to control it. For now, drink up."
"I know what you were thinking and I'm not offended," she added as she slumped back. It was nearly dawn and she was tired. "You don't seem stupid, but just in case, if you're feeding, don't do it in the open. Having humans know about us is bad, for obvious reasons. In case you may have noticed with that shooter, crazy people do crazy things... We don't need or want that."

Re: [ARPC] The Bag Lady
She took the mug and lifted it to her lips. There was no point in asking what it was, because logic, reasoning and the movies told her what it would be. However, none of that made it any more appealling to her mind. The smell though, that warm and rich scent, she could imagine it was her mother with the pigs blood, making haggis. That thought would see her through this, because her stomach was growling loudly and demanding that the contents of the cup become it's own contents. She closed her eyes, opened her mouth, and drank it down as if it were a shot - not stopping until the whole thing was drained. Lowering the mup, she slowly opened her eyes and looked at Shriek and nodded her head. Though, if she'd just fed - by drinking the blood from the mug - shouldn't she have therefore grown fangs? Her tongue once more checked her teeth, but there was nothing out of the ordinary there. However, Shriek had said that she had to learn to control it, so maybe she'd just failed to make it happen this time. Next time, maybe it would happen.
"That's, well, that makes sense. Anything else I need to know? Cause, well, this is a LOT to take in!"
Her hand lifted and ran through her hair, once more looking around her surroundings, trying to take them all in. As well as everything she was being told. Cause it was one hell of a mind **** all of this!
"Is this... well, is this where I'm to live from now on? Oh! And what funky things can I do? Or how do I learn to do them?"

The scene that played out in front of him seemed subtly unreal, like he was peering in through the blinds on a staged rehearsal in practice. Phoenix could not seem to keep her seat, electing instead to pace around inspect the generically situated hospital room with a detailed eye as if she were specifically checking for health code violations. Something about the practiced casualness in which she handled this motion showed the steel-rigged tension shown in her muscles underneath.
Several times had to caught back the urge to start breathing again when one of her searches took her near to him, but she slid off past him again like a spotlight scything through the turgid night. As she devoured the room, he caught her sprouting out a basic siring proposal in bullet point format, speeding through the finer points of it with little expousment but in shocking clarity. It seemed clear to him from the information she covered that the vampire woman had at least already partially decided to take on a new kindred bloodling. Still, something in the way she addressed the insipid human was off--as if she were speaking in a method that referred her words around the other female without ever speaking directly to them.
Phoenix wrote:"With the going invisible and the shifting into cool animals and the mind speaking - which is exactly what it sounds like; don't freak out if you hear a voice inside your head. You're not going nuts."
Ripper let a derisive scoff go by silently in his head; his characterization of the woman's intelligence dropping by another few points. How hard was it really to finish completing a whole sent-Ah.Simone Leclaire wrote:"What? Shifting into animals and mind....."
He knew now what it was now that he had been missing from before. A hidden subtext behind the apparent conversation there were whisperings that he could not hear-and that let him know more than anything how his presence had been made. They knew he was in here!

Re: [ARPC] The Bag Lady
In spite of Simone's immediate assumption that she'd gone completely off the rocker, Nix found that she'd taken to the change quite well. At least compared to some she'd seen. But even then, the surroundings were intimidating; the Citadel and its upper floors had been designed to be imposing and austere, but Nix found it comforting. She'd have to keep that in mind the next time she wanted to transition someone; the Citadel was not a place to bring them. The apartment, with its plush, warm boudoir appeal was a far more homey choice for the newly initiated.
After taking another sip of her blood, the glass was set aside and a soft smile curled her lips. "There's lots I'll teach you, but for now, I think it's best you relax and... maybe figure out how your body works again. You're faster and stronger than before, I'd wager, so it might take a few days to adjust. No sense in rushing. You can hang out here for that time, since it's probably the safest place for you, but afterwards I'll take you to the family apartment and introduce you."
The redhead paused, scrunching up her nose. "I don't want to overload you right now, but you'll learn your own unique bunch of powers in time. Everyone follows one of six 'paths' we call them, but everyone seems to develop their own suite of powers and abilities in their own time. I don't think there's a single version of normal," she admitted, offering what she hoped was a reassuring smile.
"Like I said... rest for now. We'll get you through the basics slowly but surely. Main one is don't let humans see you doing anything weird."
