How come when you kill a blood thief (that uses powers in combat so therfore has vampire blood in their system), they don't become a vampire?

I just had this pop into my head and was like huh.....that blood thief genocide in the first chapter would have caused the accidental sirings of hundreds of vampires....

I know it's been RP'd before - but just thought I'd get the 'official word' on it before it's RP'd again...

Can a wraith possess a human if it had full energy and full anima?

Mystics do it when they come back from the SR as a wraith. So it makes sense that for a short time, a normal wraith could in RP too.

Also, can you write something that helps to distinguish between the effects of Confuse and Overwhelm. They have the same on-grid outcome, and they're described fairly similarly in the Wiki... but it would be nice to have some examples of which power is better to use in which circumstances (e.g., being chased, trying to win an argument, trying to insure someone doesn't remember what they've just seen, et cetera).

Does the RP Curse 'Remember My Kiss' work for Necuratists?

I'm pretty sure Necuratists are always remembered when bitten. As it's seen as an attack.

They are, but I was curious anyway. Since some might have had it before turning into one.

Oh, and while I'm here... are RP Traits retroactive or do they only manifest in the character once the trait's purchased?

I think some of those are... flexible on that? Especially for those of us in beta (or don't RP a ton) because they weren't available before, but are now?

And since I'm here and after searching just now I didn't see it...

If someone places a decoy, and someone attacks that decoy and is dealt the psychic shock damage, would the creator of the decoy (if in the presence of the agressor) be able to tell that they had done so? Would other people? Would they have to be in their presence?

Please only answer these questions if you can point to a source for that information.

When Mystics come back from the dead and inhabit another body, is it a dead human body, or a living human body? If dead--recently deceased? As in dead with the past few hours, or recently buried?
I'd say either alive or recently dead. Either way, I feel that it should involve a certain amount of effort. Either they'd need to force out the human spirit, or there should be some major side effect of possessing a dead body, such as inheriting one of the less desirable roleplay curses. It's writer's choice to a certain extent, but I'm going to say no to possessing a body that's been dead for over 6 hours.

EDIT: Actually, scratch that. I just noticed this:

The question has kind of been raised before (in a different way). I said writer's choice.

Alexandrea wrote:Awhile back, The David said humans have been leaving. Have our characters noticed this or is that not ic knowledge?
They'd notice closed down shops, businesses, empty homes, more crime on the streets, etc. That isn't to say that most humans are leaving; just those who feel the city has gone to hell, or those who are afraid of the vicinity of the QZ.

Also if I killer is beheaded and someone sticks the head in a jar to keep, what happens when the killer leaves the shadow realm? :|

~I have a picture of headless bodies walking around in my head~ :))
Similar questions were raised about killers before. Somebody asked what happens if their body is totally destroyed. I replied:

"Paths are not quite as different from one another as some might assume. In essence, a killer is still a spirit made flesh, same as a shadow is. As such, a killer whose body is utterly destroyed would find it more difficault to return to life (and the process might take longer, roleplay-wise), but failing the ability to re-possess their own bodies, a killer would return to life in the same way a necromancer does (being the path's neighbor).

"Their rebirth is similar in this way; they return as little more than husks, and gradually build back to their full human visage."'

(http://www.mooncalfstudios.com/pathofth ... 44#p170944)

So in this case, the killer's head in the jar would decay as quickly as their new head grows on their original body. This could happen quite quickly, considering how necros have been roleplayed returning in the past. The killer wouldn't be able to move at all until their head is at least mostly reformed.
