Are you, though? These things are such a rarity that at this point in time (speaking on a broad scale), that all evidence that either of us can provide is anecdotal at best. Especially in the support of the good that these beings can provide, so I understand your stance. I don't agree, but I understand.

I fully get that what I might say here may not sway you, especially with as drastic an instance as you have endured, similar to what many may have suffered at the hands of the more primitive and "feral" of these things, but maybe if someone has some rational discourse with you about it, and acknowledges your situation and your pain, it might carry some water in some reader's mind and spark some thought, some internal dialogue that may actually lead us out of the mess that we are in currently. Constructive language is key in this situation, to get as many gears turning in this machine as we can manage, to generate as many ideas as we can to find our way toward a solution. As I said, I fully support you keeping our citizens safe. Everyone deserves the right for the chance at a peaceful life and that you would safeguard that is something that should be admired. I understand and applaud your vigilance.

Just be careful that you don't cross the line into becoming the menace yourself. That slippery slope I mentioned applies to you, too. How long before you begin to operate on enough assumptions that one of these victims of yours is a common man? Murder is murder, and that's all there is to it. So do what you will, just be careful as you do it to stay on the side of Right. Don't lose yourself to a vendetta that will detract from the good that you're doing. That's all that I'm really trying to say here.
