Ismael seemed more offended by his prompting then anything. And those shadows weren't receding. Now he was on trial of sorts. Usually, Valerian did not feel fear. He was just not that type of person. He felt fear sometimes from his own kind, with how the women could potentially just get mad and kill the men. But otherwise? Especially around humans? No.
He was feeling it now. He was being given no choice and those extra eyes began forming across his forehead. Might as well accept it then. "THIS" extra legs seemed to step out of his pants as the spider limbs grew from his torso, which then extended into the entire lower form of a spider while his upper body retained an almost human appearance but with additional eyes on his head and those bristly hairs forming across some of his back and arms. Crawling of numerous spiders nearby could be heard as their attention was drawn to him.
Sara watched anxiously and fearfully wondering how he was going to get out of this before the shadows eventually faded away, "Now that's more like it." The fae spoke again followed by a giggle and the trees seeming to return to normal.
Valerian however did not do so just yet. Because Ismael had seen he was a Jorogomo. And he wasn't quite sure he wanted him to know that. He stood up on those massive spiderlike legs. Though smaller then some of the woman Jorogomo, Valerian was certainly not weak nor short for one. And from the perspective of a human who hadn't hunted the things, it was not something that was exactly pretty to look at. "Congratulations you just met a Jorogomo. Now," he leaned over barely needing to take a few steps to close the distance, "Explain to me how well you can keep a secret, when it's at the risk of your own life."
There were a few things Jorogomo were known for. And one of those things was how cold and manipulative they could be. Valerian was not much of an exception. If you weren't prey, a threat, or in the way, then maybe he could have pity or emotion for you.
Ismael however, was a potential threat.
