Re: Aeryn question
To be honest with the exception of like three people, I never knew who was a ritualist or even who my characters would be willing to trust to do a ritual for them. It’s why Aeryn was kind of great, being my new one trusts like two people at the second.

Re: Aeryn question
Makes sense, but in that case your character(s) would be willing to pay extra $$$ for Aeryn to take care of business, I'd wager.Every wrote:To be honest with the exception of like three people, I never knew who was a ritualist or even who my characters would be willing to trust to do a ritual for them. Re: Aeryn question
I look at it like this. We are all here to play a game together. Even if we aren't all roleplayers (and some get converted, like Mordi <3) We all know when we sign up that it's an mmorpg going in. It's okay to not want to play with others but it's not what mmorpg's are about. Hence the label. Making all the features as available as possible for everyone is awesome but the game is about playing with others at the end of the day, not about playing with yourself. So encouraging players to seek out each other rather than do everything alone makes perfect sense, imo.

Re: Aeryn question
I know Iris never gets asked despite all that was invested in her stats and lockboxes full of ingredients. And so many are high level enough now that it’s common to find them jacks of all trades and doing their own. So there is that.

Oh my.
On a serious note: I think jacking up the price on the NPC ritualist only encourages people to seek out PC ritualists where available. Az is certainly happy to perform rituals for anyone and everyone with very few exceptions. So if people have ingredients and want free rituals performed, feel free to seek him out.

Re: Aeryn question
Idk. Money isn't really a thing for my characters. I mean enver sitting pretty, Liz is comfy and so are most mine. I feel money is easy to make, but difficult to spend. Getting ingredients is the reverse...challenging to get, But worth it based on my stats for characters.

Re: Aeryn question
I think that depends on the character. Az, my oldest character, has barely 300k...and that's with him being able to take out some of the biggest NPCs in the game (and get loot from them), territorial payout, and having a well paying job.
If higher prices on the NPC ritualist act as either a cash sink hole or an incentive to seek out PC ritualists, I don't see that as a bad thing in either case.

Re: Aeryn question
It really varies on what a character does, honestly. Every was well off until the Labyrinth became a thing (not complaining, the exp is worth it imo).

just as an aside, for new players, jobs are the worst way to make money, unless you do not move on grid
