Mona frowned a bit at the refusal they were all in bad shape but Mona had learned more than just being a Paladin ... she had studied other abilities that would speed Lasairs healing even more but she could not force them on the woman. She rested with Gideon her arms around his neck. She studied the other 2 that had came in she had seen both fighting against the vampires in the mayhem that had occurred. Maybe they could be trusted but Mona wasn't going to trust until she knew more about them and then she found it hard to trust anyone they usually had to earn it with her But for now they were all in the same boat. She just listened to Gideon and laid her head against his shoulder as he carried her back to her own room. "Gideon I don't want to stay here alone ... I'm getting stronger and Lasair could use my help. I can heal actual wounds ... when I'm awake to do it. Don't let them put me under again ... " She looked at him almost pleading. Hell what was she thinking other than she didn't want to be here she had to get back to her babies .[against_peace][/against_peace]

"No one is putting you under and you're not going to be alone." He assured her as Gideon carried her down the hall, and to her room. Once they were in the room, he closed the door behind them and set her down in the bed. "Save your strength and energies. If you get out too quick, people will be suspicious. I'm staying until you're ready for discharge." He said, grabbing a seat by the window.

"Should I bring the children here? Will they be okay with, uh...?" Gideon couldn't remember the nickname of the guy the triplets were with. Whoever they were, Mona trusted the three babies with the guy, so by default so did Gideon. Still, one day, he hoped to meet the person face to face. Just in case.

He pushed his way off the large window sill and came over to the side of the bed and claimed a spot. "Maybe this will ease your mind some." He said with a grin, as his fingers grabbed the vile of the cure and waved it in front of her. "And got some of the research too." He inched closer to Mona, stuffed the vile back in his pocket and grabbed her hand. "This will change everything. One day." He would see to it, no matter how long it took. Hell or high water, there would be a cure, even if he never saw it in his lifetime. Maybe one of his daughter's or son would see it through.

Esli watched his brother take off with Mona leaving him to stare between the two faces left in the room.  It was awkward but how could it not be?  All were vulnerable, some more beaten than others and collectively they were locked up in what was supposed to be one of the safest places for them to be in an ideal world. But it wasn’t ideal. Not even close. The thought of it all still had not fully registered. The world as he knew it in the last several weeks had changed dramatically. More so in the last two.He watched the two and figured this was where he was supposed to say something. He didn’t look to Lasair for once. It wasn’t really going to matter what she thought when his lips parted. What he had to say on the subject was from his brain to his lips alone. If she wanted to add to it then so be it. She was fully capable of speaking on her behalf. That is why they were all still standing within the walls of the hospital he had been more than ready to pull her out of.

“It appears we are on lock down for the night. Perhaps retreating back to the rooms we were all assigned is one way to avoid any further issues or suspicion?”

Esli eyed the two sharing space with him then finally glanced to his wife. Obviously she was staying put as she set her mind to doing. He knew better than to test her any further. He didn’t care to try. Not this night. Gently he leaned in and brushed his hand over the side of her warm cheek and nearly smiled at the connection.  His fingers paused as he remembered everything that brought them to this point. A kiss was pressed to her forehead and he stepped back.

“If you need me I am not far. Get your rest.” He grabbed a chair and took it with him as he approached the door. “You two should do the same.” The chair turned to make taking it through the doorway less of an effort and he stepped out of the room allowing the weight of the barrier to close behind him. A nurse paused from her stride down the hall and took notice of him setting the chair outside the door. “I will be sitting here until my wife is discharged.”  A nod of understanding was given and the nurse continued on.

Mona was glad to be alone with Gideon ... finding the others had been a relief but now that she knew everyone was at least reasonably safe and being looked after she could relax.
Mona shook her head as he started to ask about getting the kids "They are safe they are with their grandfather safest place for them besides with us. Pops wont let anything happen to them I just miss them first time ive really been away from them ." she gave him a weak smile.

Her eyes widened as he pulled the vial from his pocket. Then his words brought the full meaning of what he was holing In his hand to her " That's it you were able to save it ?" She looked toward the door and around then put her fingers to her lips as if to say don't say anything else. Her eyes were dancing " Ohhh man this is awesome" she said in a low voice " Put it away " She looked back to the door expecting a nosey nurse or someone to come walking in any moment now . "Oh man this is good." her brow furrowed "How do we use it Gids ? No don't answer that here " Mona was happy even if they didn't know how to use it yet there would be a way to find out surely. She waited until he had slipped the vial back into a safe spot before she gave him a huge hug even if it still hurt her arm to do so .

Lasair leaned into Esli’s touch; she was so tired, even to remain awake to converse with those in the room. But she was strong, and in her strength there still could be found good manners. There was always room for good manners. A kind smile was offered to Ephraim, and then to Sawyer. Why was it that the women were the worst for wear? It amused Lasair, though at the same time she vowed that it would be different next time. They were not the weaker sex; it was simply a bad coincidence.

Lasair had wanted to grab at Esli’s hand before he had a chance to retreat, wanted to pull him into the bed with her. She wanted his solid warmth beside her. Though the hospital beds were small and it would be a struggle for both their bodies to fit, Lasair was confident they could make it work. It only meant they’d be tangled up in each other, a comfort unrivalled.

But it contradicted her vow of strength, and once she fell asleep she doubted she’d know where she was, let alone who was beside her. She instead watched as Esli took a chair outside to take up his watch, and her gaze swung back to Ephraim and Sawyer. Her smile remained.

”Carry her to bed, take care of her,” Lasair said to Ephraim; Sawyer looked too far gone to even be able to hear her. Lasair wasn’t degrading the other woman, nor insinuating she needed taking care of because she was a woman. She assumed that any of the women would do the same for their men, should all roles be reversed.
