get to lvl 50 and start hitting lionelliRoderic wrote:Well, idk seems the NPC listing is kinda....idk stacked against a lot of vampires/players.
Rogue Necromancers -newbies can't kill this? Where are these? Raids only?
Ancient Sorcerers -Again, same concern as above.
Ancient Tizheruks-look above
Alpha Fadebeasts-look above...where is this? Even exist anymore?
Fadebeasts-okay, so not too hard to kill anymore, but hard to find.
Paladin Elders-Again, specific raids I think?
Feral Vampires-this one is cool.
Agents-yeah, easy to kill...hard to find still
Paladin Berserkers-again...where? Raids?
Vampires (NPCs)-yeah I can kill some at lvl 20, prob could at lvl 15 so cool! And easily findable
All Lionellis-easily findable, hard to kill for newbs who make mistakes.
There in lies my issue. Some are in raids only that don't spawn like they used to. Is this due to team raids or hacking raids or? IDK.
How can a newbie correct their error(s)?

the part in red, is what noone seems to understand.....Azraeth wrote:
Killing 100000 NPCs wouldn't remove someone from the violation list anyway, so there isn't really a way for them to 'correct their error(s)'. However, if they're statted for hacking, they can do evidence hacks. Or kill feral vamps if they're statted for combat. Or pay the oracle to track down random events if they are statted for business, etc. There are a ton of ways (already listed) to impact the city alert level.
THERE IS NO WAY OFF THE LIST, EXCEPT DEATH OR TIME. nothing listed above does anything to the list, as THERE IS NO LIST. the bounties can be lowered by letting a hitman hit you, but THEY ARE ALL PERSONAL BOUNTIES. the game makes no bounties, if you have one, a PLAYER put it on you, not the game, lowering it does nothing. once more for those still missing the point....

Re: Vampire Secrecy
I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon at all, so I've been caught with my proverbial pants down while just returning from a trip. I'll post more about this later, but yes this is the end of vampiric secrecy in the city. It's best to refrain from roleplaying with any details until I post again with further information, but suffice it to say that humans will be completely aware of the existence of vampires. This means tons of gameplay changes, a different next chapter than was planned, and it'll mean tons of interesting changes for roleplayers. Rest assured that the story won't become True Blood; I expect it'll be closer to something like X-Men.

Re: Vampire Secrecy
The following NPCs still reduce the city alert level when killed (code wise), and have done ever since they were added to the game (each of them respectively):Velveteen wrote:The only NPC killing that actually reduced the alert level was zombies and mooncalfs and that was taken away ...was it when the crow was ousted? or some other chapter. I cant remember. >.<
Edit" Yeah ok, I confused the alert level in general with getting off the violation list/lowering alert level combination. Don't mind me.
- All Lionelli enemies (slightly)
- Masterless vampires (slightly)
- Wild vampires (a little)
- "Vampires" (a little)
- Paladin Berserkers (a little)
- Government Agents (a little)
- Feral Vampires (a little)
- Paladin Elders (a fair amount)
- Fadebeasts (a fair amount)
- Alpha Fadebeasts (a lot)
- Several bosses, such as the ancient sorcerer (a lot)
Really, three chapter consequences were anti-masq, to varying degrees. The one before last was the point of no return, and so it was unable to be lowered below a certain point from then on. Each sidestory and chapter which ended without concern for the masq caused it to be more and more fragile, and then the bounty hunting just stopped entirely. To be honest with you, I'm unsure exactly how it spiked so quickly while I was away, because it seemed to be holding for about a month or two and then boom. So I think it was a mix of all of those things, plus people actively working to destroy it in secret.
Really though, as we've been saying for two chapters now that it's past the point of no return, it shouldn't come as a major shock to anyone that it's ending now. I did think we'd be able to make a final chapter to decide the matter once and for all, but the players had other ideas it seems, lol.

Thanks for the response. There are definitely exciting times ahead!
As for how it all happened so fast...

Yep. Although, I don't think it was that much of a secret ;)Mooncalf wrote:...people actively working to destroy it in secret.
I have been so long master that I would be master still, or at least that none other should be master of me.
