With no change in expression Trahir weathers the tirade. There is no need to argue, much of what Mortll says is true. Trahir would likely kill anyone who took it upon themselves to mentor his childe... well... would have if he himself hadn't murdered him in Ottawa. "Yes, I remember. I purchased you at auction, I asked a simple task of you and assisted in it. You ran to your lover, or former lover. Which was it at the time? You gave him information about what I was doing in my private life because it involved his childe... who I doubt would have felt gratitude at being reduced to a hapless damsel in distress awaiting the aid of her sire. Dominique is more than capable of protecting herself. From me or others. Had the rest of our kind inherited a quarter of her fortitude and common sense we would not be as pathetic a species as we are."

The cadence of his speech denotes boredom. There is no trace of fire backing words thhat should be spit in vehemence. It's almost as if he is describing the way to swap out a keyboard from a computer, or perhaps cook Kraft dinner on the stove top in a pot.

"I am not upset with you trying to protect one who needed no protection however.. I am upset that I paid you for a service and instead you sold me out. As a client with one evening left on my purchase it does reflect poorly on any future dealings I might have in such matters. Why would I pay to be stabbed in the back Mortll?

He remains calm, inwardly and outwardly. Even with his suspicions confirmed, nothing has changed other than having the reason for the events that have led him from that point to this. There is nothing to be upset about. "Since the concept of honoring one's pledges is a foreign concept perhaps lost to the centuries... the last evening should likely be kept to a bare minimum of risk to avoid a similar happenstance."

He places his hands on either side, pushing off to rise from the couch, beginning to make his way from the room, heading toward the exit. "I have an apartment in Corvidae Flats. Nicolette has the details. Please see that it is cleaned. Do not enter the room closest to the restroom. It's the one with the plastic in place where the door meets the frame. You can't miss it."

Menial tasks, simple unskilled labor. To most it is a living, to Trahir it denotes something much much less. An inferior. Someone not to be trusted with things that matter. His back still turned, without even looking back over his shoulder, he says in the same deadpan tone, "Thank you for the warning. If there is nothing else?"

Mortll burst out laughing "Mr Trahison You will get your full 85 k back and farewell if you think that all I am is a maid to clean up your messes That is how ive been treated by you so far and it hasn't gained you any respect what so ever. If that is all you can offer is petty and childish behavior on your part with . I would have been better off just giving it to the charity myself if that is how my time is valued . Or the favor I have given you of the heads up that you have a potential problem. " she paused "I do regret that Doc took such extreme measures that caused you harm in his attempt to get through with you to rectify your methods with Dom I can hardly control what he does But to be honest I would do it the same way again I know Dom is strong she wouldn't be one of us if she were not That does not mean you get to test her strength and put her through **** shes had enough of that already. So Good night to you Mr Trahison and you can clean your own damn mess up "

He'd paused at the beginning of he speech, hoping. Wanting. He was immediately disappointed. Money. Ego. Regret about another's actions without apology for ones own. So... human. He was over it. "Think nothing of the cost. It was minuscule. Expected from the denizens of the jewel that is Harper Rock. I'll handle the girl when I have time. Whatever you wish to to in the interim is fine. Have her make a reality television show. Perhaps Doctor Nilson could Direct it. You can produce."
His back remains to her. His hand reaches for the doorknob, gives a twist.

"Forgive me for not being eternally grateful that you chose to share this snippet with me among the others you usually share them with. Do whatever it is you wish to do regarding my sister and I will simply... handle it. As far as Dominique goes, she has passed tests that you, Doc and most of these pathetic excuses for vampires would fail. She understands what she is, she understands where she came from. She doesn't just know. She understands. She should be protecting you from yourselves, not you attempting to protect her from herself."

"Mr Trahison One of these days you will realize that you cant control the world and not everyone is going to like your attempts to .... Your understanding of people is skewed nor do you take the time to learn it seems. So until you do then maybe we will have a understanding. Until then ... unless you choose to be a stubborn *** the rest of eternity . Goodnight " She really hoped he got the idea that the conversation was over it didn't take much to know that he hadn't handled any of it well. Tonight had went pretty much as she had suspected it would though the total belligerence over old issues were more prevalent than she had suspected. He probably wouldn't ever let it go. It was a shame He would find many that wouldn't march to his drum beat hn this town and Miss Dominque was one of them. He just hasn't realized it yet .

Stepping out into the hallway, closing the door behind him the Killer frowned. The Corvidae Flats apartment was somewhere he wasn't willing to send Nicolette. Most of the inhabitants were vampires and the military seemed to survey the area constantly. Revelation would have to remain in his dusty environ it seemed. A pity. He would have liked to have the satisfaction of at least having the place upkept. It had been some time.

One thing he had learned through his time was there was an inordinate amount of females to males in the vampiric community. Reproduction was unnecessary. Trahir himself enjoyed the feeling of a woman but it seemed the fairer sex held less and less sway over him too as time went on. Mortll was by all standards a beauty. He couldn't bring himself to care though. Her heavy-handed assault on him trying to downplay her own betrayal had mattered more to him than her looks, her potential, even the threat she represented. Leaning against the wall still next to the door the Killer reached into his pocket, withdrawing a black card. From another pocket he withdraws a red pen, gel. It would write legibly on the surface of the card.

One word was scrawled upon the inky blackness of the card on the side not showing his throw-away phone number in gold. 'Challenge, come and meet me'. Before walking away from the door, he tucks it under the door knocker.

Emotionless, stony faced the Killer makes his way from the building.

It had been a couple of days and nights now that she'd been handing out her fliers. She'd had a few..... interesting replies on one of the ads she'd posted online, but nothing yet on her phone. However, she wasn't giving up hope - she was sure she'd find him, or a lead to him, here in the city! One thing that she had noticed in her time in Harper Rock, was that there seemed to be just as many people out in the evening and night as there were in the day. So tonight she'd slept in through the day, so that she was able to go out in the evening. So here she was with her bag over her shoulder, filled with leaflets covered in contact information and the picture of her brother.

The park in Thornside really was rather beautiful tonight, the streetlights lit the petals of the flowers and shimmered on the damp grass - while they made the water seem to glow and twinkle under the stars. A smile was on her face as she confidently walked up to every person she came across, offering them a flyer and asking if they had seen her brother. It was all she could do until Mortll managed to find a PI for her, and she wasn't going to stop - regardless of what the woman suggested and tried to persuade her to do. She was determined, and stubborn!

Pausing on the road that led deeper into the park, Vienna gave a brief look at the flyer before she handed it back. She'd already seen this picture before online; Vienna had left a comment hoping to dissuade the woman, but she just didn't know when to quit. She was persistent.

Persistent at trying to get herself killed.

She studied the woman for a moment, before she gave a smooth shrug. "I've never seen this guy before in my life."

She handed the flyer back. "Why do you even think he's in this city?"
