"It's nice to meet you vada and you did just fine, Klara...well given what you had to work with...I was always moving to explore another part of the city because I got bored." She shrugged at the mention of Doc before shaking her head. "I haven't talked to Professor X yet today. I'm not sure when he's going to be here but yes, he keeps me very busy at the lab. It's good though, I don't get bored and want to wonder off only to get myself into trouble. There's a ton I still need to learn."

Getting quiet for a moment as the pair approached their little group. A light smile graced her lips as she watched the woman give friendly European kisses to both of them before turning to Lennox and doing the same. As the woman introduced herself, she nearly fumbled over her words. "Oh wow...totally awesome to meet you. I'm Lennox. I guess you can say I belong to Professor X...erm...I mean Doc."

Beverly was physically wrapped around during entry. Pyper observed but didn't say anything. In the past, she's known the blond by appearance in her sibling's memories, when it was her routine to look inside. The woman, Roderic's wife was as easily grasped by the arriving bodies as she. Once she was able to, Pyper lowered her hand to take a hold of Beverly's forefinger. Just the one.

Nerissa became her center focus from the room. To drive out the other stimuli the same way holding Beverly's hand grounded her.

"Should have made a gift." Nerves voicing themselves.

He felt the connection grow as he pressed his cheek to Pi's then kissed it softly, his nerves finally resting as he felt another connection. He held Klaras hand as he looked around and smiled to Lennox. He was glad to meet her, but he was worried of the group of people. It might have something to do with his turning, or he just didn't know too many.

"I am glad you are here Pi." He tried to hide the love he held for the woman from his voice as he looked at the crowd. "Klara said I have to stay calm." Nodded as he kissed Klara softly and rested his head on her shoulder. Oddly he was concentrating on making his heart beat normally, still not used to it not working.

There weren't too many people present that Elliot was familiar with. Ric, of course. Vada and Skylar--and Vada only through some terse interactions at home base. Klara, too. Most he knew only in passing, and only a couple could he count as close. Not that this bothered Elliot. Not in the least. He'd always been... well, if not the life of a party, he'd always blended quite easily into a crowd, never much worried about personal space.

He shot this to Pi's mind even as he smiled down at Skylar. More of a smirk than just a smile. "I wouldn't say drinking at home alone while your better half gets ready is exactly a party," he said. He ruffled Skylar's hair but remained an anchor beside Pi, half paying attention to the others and any introductions that might be made. There was one girl who seemed in awe of Pi's presence, for some reason. Someone who belonged to Doc. Of course Doc would be coming. Would he? Elliot distracted himself by checking the crowd again - and maybe for some windows to climb out of, later.

Pi’s arm (just one cause she wasn’t a full body hug sort of person) and squeezed Skylar gently, letting her go so the woman could greet Elliot. “We wouldn’t have missed it Skylar.” Turning as Lennox spoke Pi nodded, glad she was right about who the mysterious female was (even if it was in her head).

“Nice to meet you Lennox… glad you could come on such short notice. We don't get together enough like this .... it is .. nice.” Pi answered, her smile in place as her and Elliot stood beside each other but carried on two different conversations. In her mind answering Elliot, even as she answered Vada too. “I wouldn’t have missed it Vada.. or seeing you… and Klara.” Pi’s gaze traveled to the two hands clasped together, her eyebrow raising but not mentioning anything about … that.

(to Elliot) Or you and I could play a game… and I could… lean over.

“So where is your… other half Skylar.” She asked, turning back to the blonde standing on the other side of Elliot.

He looked at where everyone was pointing and finished his drink, he was careful not to spill any or to bump into anyone as he stood. He made his way to the bar and carefully poured 4 fingers of scotch and added a splash of water as he borrowed a bottle of black absinthe from the bar. He walked back to sit beside Klara as he sipped from the bottle slowly draining it.

He wasn't one to drink unless he was nervous, and tonight filled that criteria perfectly. Strange people, revealing clothing and odd looking tables around the pool hall. Where were the pools that this hall was meant to have? Very odd to call it a pool hall and have not a single swimming pool

Elliot made sure to keep note of people's names.

Beverly--he narrowed his eyes at the one pointed out, and repeated the name three times.

Lennox--he glanced at the woman Pi was talking to, and repeated that name three times, too.

As Skylar was standing right next to Elliot, it was easy to feel the swirl of emotions as the pervaded the atmosphere between them. But, as per usual in crowds, he found the sixth sense a little confusing. And, what with the alcohol in his system inhibiting his senses, he couldn't be too sure. But there was something, coming from someone. A sadness that he could not pin point. It was not something that he questioned, given Skylar's bright beam of a smile, so he shrugged it off.

Skylar was distracted by Pi, and Elliot found his gaze surreptitiously dipping to that V she Pi continued to refer to.

I might hold you to that.

Differing attire had her staring, sometimes too long, at other people. Their makes varied and the style and cut created illusions to the body. Such as the dress Beverly wore, emphasizing her bust that from time to time, her eyes veered towards.

Roderic came over, utter a string of words she couldn't catch, having several other voices in her head. Some in the room, some her own, some without origin. This happened in crowds, she's noticed. How could that be fixed; a something to mull over later.

"Thank you for the invitation, Roderic. And congratulations, too. Have you met Nerissa? I made her, after the first woman botched."
