The tall killer stood quietly in the back of the room. Easily looking over everyone's heads he studied the offerings on display, as well as those that wandered the floor. Lifting his stetson, he ran a hand through his hair before re-seating the hat low over his eyes. Tipping his head to each side in turn he stretched the muscles of his neck before slipping his hands from the pockets of his oilskin duster. It seemed many of the city's finest and not so finest were both up for auction, and bidding, though he saw more than one that he knew were just in for the entertainment value. His eyes stopped roving as the ran over one of the blondes. His head nodded slowly she was the one Alex had introduced him to the one time they had been ridding the city of an enclave of sirens. Matilda, Madison, Minerva, it was some French sounding thing. He had been too busy taking down the damned shamans to pay much attention, but ha had noticed she seemed pretty good at crafting, and had filled in on the alter a few times. Yeah, she would do just fine...turning towards the auctioneer he nodded towards her as he growled out ''60k on Minerva''

Thumb and forefinger rubbed idly at the pendent that hung from the silver chain around her neck. Pi's bid had surprised her. It was interesting turn of events and Vel could only surmise at this point that either Pi didn't believe her....or Pi herself lied. She watched after the woman and narrowed her gaze a little. It was true that she didn't know a whole lot about auctions but somehow it didn't sit right with her that the one running the show should be allowed to bid at all. It seemed more on the criminal side of shady but she shrugged it off as another voice drew her attention.

She looked around a little confused wondering who the **** this Minerva was and laughed when she realised who he was referring to. Spanky suited her better. "Sixty One thousand."

There was much work to get done at the shop, and he wanted time off for kennedy, the two did not mix well, work, and free time. Another nod. ''Seventy thousand.'' He knew she was more talented than the humans he employed, but she better be worth the price.

Chuckled to herself as she pushed away from the wall and wandered out. She had had her fun.

With Velveteen leaving Pi's question became moot, which took her off the veritable hook. With a nod in the direction of the stage, and the woman upon it Pi moved leaving the bidding to Mordechai with a nod there as well.

Kira sat in the back, if she didn't need the money she most likely would never do this thing, or even be here. Some of the auctions however were not like the tame ones last year. Oh the ******* Owl Turds have to ruin the fun of it all. She drank down a glass of wine. Queen *****, she had to laugh at the complete moronic thinking of that one. For some people the hair on their head just didn't ******* match their eyebrows. Try looking it up dumbass. Oh well, one couldn't expect much from the rock for brains.

She got up, she needed to talk to Dru about something.

Pi moves to the mic and calls the auction, announcing in a loud voice. "Last bids, In three... Twooo... ONE. SOLD!"

You transfer $35000 into madison's account.
You transfer $35000 into Pi dArtois's account.
Mordechai ran his eye appraisingly over the blonde as he turned towards the cashier. Impulse buys were sometimes costly he thought as he handed the cashier a black midnight armaments corporate AmEx. As he looked over her again, he thought over kennedy telling him he needed a sense of humor, and the conversation he had heard during the bidding. A the corner of his lip twitched a little as he quickly accessed the Amazon shopping site with his mind. A quick search and perusal of the offerings, and he placed the order, happy that the Canadian version of the FAA had approved the Amazon drone program. There was a warehouse in River Rock that serviced this area, so it should be arriving in ten to fifteen minutes. Walking out the front door, the tall killer lit a cigarette and leaned against the wall, waiting. By the end of the second cigarette he heard a low whirring in the air and glanced up as the drone came over the treetops and down the street. He stood back watching as it lowered to the sidewalk, and gently dropped a recyclable tote, then lifted into the air headed back for its next delivery. Picking up the tote Mordechai walked back in, easily making his way up to Madison. ''Your shift starts Sunday night at 2200 hrs. Your uniform just arrived. Be in uniform and punctual.'' The words came out a little commanding, but there was no malice in the killers countenance, it was just the tone is gravely voice naturally took. Turning to walk away, he paused and glanced back. '' I believe I heard mention of... wax?... being needed to wear the uniform properly. I am not sure of its use, you will need to figure that out.'' The killer straightened and headed back to the cashier, one transaction done, one more to go. A thought niggled at the back of his mind, he hoped kennedy would be proud of him. This was his 2nd attempt at humor this week, he was getting much better.
