He had left the auction and really had had no intention of returning. But he realized that his wife had disappeared and on a whim he went back and found her as he suspected he would. Bidding on Nishaa. Good. That loud mouthed blonde ***** wasn't going to get her hands on Nishaa if Vel had anything to say about it. He considered joining her but his attention was drawn to that tattooed woman who he'd bought a pair of pink running shoes for. A grin crossed his face as he made a decision, approaching the stage once more. "Think I'll buy you purple this time, and hope you can still run just as fast. One hundred and ten thousand."

Dominique's attention was drawn once more to Stagger Lee and smiled. Some knew the value of friendship no matter where they came from and who they were. It was then a presence found it's way in yet again. There he was, Mr. Track and Field. The memory was vivid. She was running like the wind towards The Swamp with nothing but a hospital gown on. That was one hell of a trek across Harper Rock and back with him and his leather bound lady and entourage in pursuit. She smirked looking at him towering over most in the space around him. She had grown since that night in more ways than could be counted. Perhaps curiosity was keeping this tall dark and equally inked cat from taking his leave. Her eyes floated the room looking for her moving about. She couldn't be far. They were like two peas in a pod her grandmother would say.
"I can run." HOPE and LESS found her hips and the fingers locked tight on each denim covered curve. "Out ran you from what I can remember. It was that window that caught me off guard."

Stagger Lee had watched the exchange between Mini and the vampire who was bidding on her from the bar. He sat with his back to the counter, leaned against it, eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses. The bid on the woman on the stage had been raised again, but Stagger Lee was not done yet. Without haste he raised his hand once more.

Dominique stood there in the midst of the final bids and heard a woman's voice announce she was sold. It was an odd thing really. Hearing she was sold seemed as if it was was playing out somewhere else entirely. The idea and the reality were splintered enough she was detached and void of feeling like she had lost anything in the process. She was a woman that couldn't be truly bought. She shrugged and stood up glancing to the man who said she was going to be bought purple shoes. Her dark eyes danced over the top of his head and floated beyond with their focus to see where the exit was. She would be using it very shortly. She pondered buying her own purple shoes after heading out of Lancaster's and taking a run. She could get it in while she had a few free hours left.
With a few steps down had Dominique finally walking off the stage. Vibrant inked hands disappeared into her jacket so that HOPE and LESS were lost inside the satin lined leather pockets that cradled her hands from view. Both males were tall and she should feel petite standing there but she didn't. Stagger Lee and Micah were no strangers to her personality and tenacity so she didn't need to roar or put on a show to say she was not intimidated. Whatever came from their meeting face to face yet again she was confident she could handle. Shoes, no shoes, snow covered wilderness, weapons or none at all. It was all good in the past and she was more than ready to do it again. She eyed each one not missing a muscle twitch of either one, a blink or a weapon that was creatively hidden. It didn't take long to decide this was where she should take the controlled setting for appearances sake and thank both for the interest to bid money that was far more than could fit in a piggy bank.
"No matter the motive thank you just the same for the bids. I personally wouldn't charge you a cent to take a run..." Her eyes shifted from Micah to Stagger Lee. "...or to build a weapon."
Dominique was entirely too optimistic. The brief curl upward of the right corner of her lips said as much. She knew damn well there was no interest in a simple sprint around the college track behind the suggestion of a new pair of purple shoes. She knew what she endured before those pink running shoes arrived to her. Stagger was not off the hook either. She knew he had his own agenda. The brush of her leather collar grazing the permanent leopard spots at the nape of her neck nearly gave her a shiver at such a thought. She swallowed hard and nodded at both.
"Pardon me. I have a bid of my own to pay. I shall be back before you can blink." Of course it was a bit exaggerated but it conveyed she would be quick about what she had to take care of.
