The Metronome was supposed to have some corrupt (possibly unwritten now) plots in the past, there's been fights in there (though it is a club... it happens). I'm not sure this would be the most neutral spot and I know I cannot vouch for being here 100% to police it. If there is verification of Necro still remaining neutral, then maybe mark clubs off the list and have something else in Wicksbridge. I would have said the Undersecretary office, but.. I think that is gone now?
Crissy does her best to send anyone fighting outside the club and to make sure no bounty hunters come in or people on the bounty list are sitting in the club. If anyone on has a bounty and are being hunted, she will have them teleported out and call up the hunters herself, so it's not advised to come sit inside the club. She really does her best keeping everyone calm.
She does kick out anyone she sees fighting, asks them to leave or removes them (by means of security of course). It is still a neutral place for Tempy.

Then it's not a neutral place.

Who is left in charge of the Necro though? Leir? Or someone else?
No one. No one is running or has ownership of the necro but Amara.
This is incorrect. RP wise, Amaranthia left AJ in charge of and running the Necro. AJ runs it, bartends there and hosts parties.
In terms of grid ownership of the actual lair though, Amara/Ash still owns and controls the square, but Aysel runs/controls every thing else until Amara's (hopeful) return. She does maintain Amara's dreams for the necro and keeps it as neutral as possible.
Since there's nothing on the Necro board, and Nothing on grid, and Nothing was said to the staff that I'm aware of, I stand by my statement. The Necro sits there with patrons who use its amenities but does nothing more. At this point imo, even without putting it up for this poll, the Necro's the most neutral it's ever been, because it has no one running or doing anything with it. Amara doesn't kick out offenders or hunters or humans alike, because she isn't around, and no one else does either because at the time we did do things like that it was because we were trying to keep a balance instead of simply letting it be.
Unless your point was its being run in RP, so we shouldn't have it there, in which I'm actually inclined to agree. Because, quite frankly, I don't even want it in a building that someones going to try to have a power trip with over a community project. That was kinda the reason I liked it being in an 'abandoned' player owned building to begin with.
Back to square one. Other ideas for player owned places that their owners have abandoned?

Well, if the Necro is out of the running, maybe I could propose a bunch of valiant PCs who want such a place should kick in the karma and create it. If it's owned by, say 10 people kicking in 15 karma each (yes, there will have to be an official on-grid owner, but that doesn't prevent joint ownership for RP purposes) then it would be neutral in a different way.
The trick, perhaps the impossible trick, would be getting 10 characters who can actually agree on things. I, for one, would be willing to attempt it though.

I'm game to try.
Otherwise I think maybe we stick to the abandoned mansion as Ripper suggested. It is not player owned and has history in game cannon.

After about a 20 min argument with david >>
Ilaned farm's owned by Leir, so I'll offer that up. Kill chickens and be uber safe. haha. Yeah. I always lose arguments with David. v.v But that's required to be open because of the chickens, so that wouldn't ever be an issue, and its always been that way.
Other wise I'd be fine with trying that pitch in idea, too. So long as that one on grid owner doesn't mess that up someone and end up getting to keep a building with a bunch of karma they didn't even by. Maybe the on grid owner could jsut be mooncalf? as in 'owned by us but on grid no one person has power over it'? Idk. :\

As long as we have someone willing to lay down tiles, I wouldn't care who "owns" it.
That said, maybe a non-PC owner is a good idea. That way, we don't have anyone who can hide behind it or attach their shite to it.

I'd vote for Mooncalf IF The David was willing. Or Helly or even Keara.
Nor sure how a 'non' pc would work.. you mean an npc like The Oracle? Or just gamers that do not rp? Cus those are still 'pc's', imo.

sooo, this thought is a long shot, but I want to see how it would go over...... The shadow realm is already coded so that powers (90% of them) cannot be used. I would be in support of a 'mooncalf' or 'admin' owned building with the same lock down criteria - thus making it neutral ground. Anyone that walks in the building would not be able to use powers against each other and it could be taken further to remove weapons as well.
IC perspective: no weapons, no magicks, no service. Explaining that to the human population, could read something like that sign that only humans see... "no shoes, no shirt, no service, and now in the states many businesses have no guns.
Thoughts...

I honestly dislike the idea of the game's code keeping us from being able to do something in an area from an rp perspective. These neutral grounds are neutral grounds not because it's impossible to hurt each other there but because the community bands together and messes you up if you decide to break the rules. Coding it so it's impossible to do things in these areas eliminates a lot of rp potential and will be, in my opinion, boring.
I do like the idea of casting the ritual on it regularly because then its the community banding together to do it.
