Anemoi looked between the two vampires. The moon phase? It sounded off but anything could happen here. He wondered if Kira would be able to stand waiting another month to see if that’s what it was, and having to go through it once a month which meant if the wrong people found out, she would be in danger. “The moon phases, hold more meaning to you, Kira.” He said softly. He had no real beliefs but she did and he knew that much about hers that moon phases hold some kind of meaning.

“Are you going home after this?” he asked Kira, wanting to walk with her and stay with her a little longer. He looked to the man, “Well it was nice to meet you.” He said politely before heading towards the door.

Kira raised an eyebrow. "The New Moon?" she said with interest. Could it? She looked at Windy, "They do hold a lot of meaning for me. I personally feel a lot better during a Full Moon." she said. Even though there were things to do on a new moon, it was the full moon she normally looked forward to. She looked to Elliot again and nodded, "Alright, talk to you in a month then." she said. "Going to be a pain to go through this over and over again." she added with a sigh.

She looked to Windy again, "Yeah I'm going home. I want a shower before I go see how my shops are doing. You're not invited to head that way." she said, and making sure she had the head start, she teleported out of the room and appeared in front of her house. She hoped the new moon theory was wrong but there wasn't any other links to it right now but they would know in a month. She would just try not to think on it, there was no use worrying about it.

Elliot nodded a salute at the Paladin – the reformed Paladin – Anemoi as the male took his leave and headed for the door. Neither of them seemed at all inclined to hang around for conversation; one was out the door before Elliot could say nice seeing you while the other disappeared – teleported – before he could snap his fingers. One minute he was standing in front of two people, and the next he was alone.

”Uhuh, interesting theory, Elliot. You think? Yeah, how’d you come by it…?” he said to himself before his pointless muttering merged into incoherence. He pushed his fingers through his unruly hair before he snorted, and then laughed. He wasn’t irritated. He wasn’t annoyed. He wasn’t regretful. He just was, and it was almost as if the previous night had never happened. He went to the lounge area where he collected the dirty mugs; he clattered down the stairs into the pub proper. He ignored the bleary stares of the employees who’d been home and showered and slept and who were back for another shift. They knew he’d been there the night before, and they knew he was wearing the same clothing. He knew they probably had questions about their boss, but he also knew they wouldn’t ask any questions.

As soon as he’d deposited the mugs at the sink for someone else to clean—as they were paid to do—he wandered into the office and closed the door, locking it behind him. He used the tome to get back to the Den, before taking one of the portals to one of the many apartments he had access to, where there’d be a working shower and some clean clothes. He may not need a shower, but he wanted one.

Everything else seemed fine. The world hadn’t fallen down around him while he was lost in the twilight zone, without powers. He supposed he’d just continue on with things, just as he had been doing. And why the hell not? Nothing much surprised him anymore. It was just another piece in the vast puzzle, and he was beginning to come to terms with the fact that he would never ever have everything figured out. So be it.
