"Renée, mon ami. Comment allez-vous?" Simon spoke in a thick accent that was almost a stark contrast to most French accents. The language was taught to Simon in the bayou. To a Frenchman his tongue was that of a swine when speaking the language.

Seeing the outfit she wore he smiled, "Looking good as always." Kissing the air on each side of her face he smiled at her. She could tell the custom didn't suit him, but he was trying to be fashionable. "And the club looks amazing! Tell me what you have been up!!!" there was a smile on his face. Happy to have finally found his friend he was all ears seeing her. Swapping stories would have been nice.

Sitting down he made himself comfortable. Simon just kept his gaze on the woman waiting for Renee to join him. "What have you been up to?"

She is amused by the way he is acting but she played along. It was good to see someone that she was not going to have to worry about shooting her if she said something wrong. She loved her family but they had a temper that would keep one on their toes all the time.

She did the air kiss back to him and sat down to talk. "Oh a little of this and a little of that. I now have two childer to take care of so I have to stay as much out of trouble as I can, but you know how that can be in this city." She laughed more to herself then to him. She was sounding like a single mother that had just found out her husband had been cheating on her, left her for the girlfriend and left her with kids.

"How have you been lately?" She was happy to change subjects if she could get away with it. She did take a moment to look him over. He looked good. She liked the style and the way he was carrying himself now.

"Well, I'm trying to stay out of trouble. I know how the city can be because for a very long time I used to be that trouble. I've alienated people because of it," Simon's voice held a sad edge. He really was a bad man. A liar, a thief, and a bunch of other names people could have given him. A lot of them were right. "And I may enter the child game. I...I had a daughter once. She meant the world to me and decided one day to step outside. The story doesn't have a happy ending," he said fighting back the negative emotions with all his might. Anyone could have seen whatever Simon was talking about saddened him dearly. "Every father's day I get handed liquor...It helps ease the pain a little."

"I'm kind of nervous I'll f*ck up any future relationship with a kid. I mean...I couldn't stop one from taking their own life, what'll help me if it happens again? If not that, then I worry about no one in their right mind will wanna be Simon Cross's kid," he knew that in this conversation Simon was the newly wed that had a few failed marriages and some heartache behind him. Idly he rapped his hands on a nearby surface. The metal from the ring on his left hand clanged. A lightbulb practically went off above his head, "Oh! I got one of these now. Apparently a woman wants to legally own me so I can be bartered, traded or loaned out when she sees a good pair of shoes," he grinned and showed off his wedding ring. "I'm only worth one shoe so she'll need something else to barter with for the other," the grin returned on his face. His defense mechanism was to become the jokester at life's party. Talking about his daughter created some deep wounds.

"And I'm stressed to all hell. I'm on the verge of starting a business. Lots of planning, blood, sweat, and tears have gone into it. Every time I get closer something goes horribly f*cking wrong. I'm trying though, I'm really, really trying," he was nervous about his future. A lot was riding on his plans. Right now it felt like he was cruising on a highway to only have something go wrong with the car every twenty feet. So Simon was a little frustrated.

Wanting to shift the conversation away from sadness or frustration, "Were I not married I would take you in a manly fashion because you're pretty," he repeated the line from one of his favorite television shows with some slight variation. It was a nod to that moment. "You just have to find the right person. Smack them over the head with a heavy object. Drag them to your home...and then you figure out the rest. You'll find the right one," he nodded firmly. In his mind Renee was a good person. She had shown Simon nothing but kindness, even when things were really bad for him personally. So, he had faith in Renee despite what others may have said. "Trust me, you'll find some awesome guy...or gal...or both. We haven't really talked about what we find interesting in other people so I dunno your tastes."

"I'm sure you will be a great father someday." She can tell that talking about his child is hard for him and she can kind of relate so she does not press the matter any further. Some things where just hard for people to deal with and she did not like to see pain on peoples face if she could help it in anyway.

"So who is the lucky girl?" She smiles at him. It seems everyone is getting married now a days. She would say it much be something in the water but seeing as most can not drink the water it must be something in the blood. This was why she was glad she drank for blood packs intend of from people. This also helped in keeping her out of trouble.

"And you flatter me so Simon. No wonder you are no longer on the market. Too bad you don't have a twin brother." She winked at him and laughed. She had always had a hard time seeing herself with anyone. Sure she had thought about a few people here and there but in truth she knew that the chances of here being with any f them was extremely slim to none.

"I don't really have a taste to be honest though if I think about the once that I have thought about I would say that my taste are strong, dominating, and unobtainable." She had to laugh again to try and keep the mood uplifting. She didn't care if they where male or female in reality but she could not be with someone who was genital. She never knew how to handle it.

Growing up she didn't have any one ever be genital to her. She had learned that love left bruises, cuts and maybe broken bones. After she had first turned Eriki she told herself she would try to be better though sadly for poor Jocky that rule had been broken and she tended to revert to her old ways.

"The world would break if there were two people like me. It can barely handle the one it already has," a grin was on Simon's face. His eyes went to Renee. Waving a hand off, "Klara got the worst end of that deal. One day she's going to wake up and wonder why she married me of all people." Simon's opinion of himself wasn't the greatest. He caused too much trouble in the past so it was not that high.

"Nothing wrong with being omnisexual or whatever the cool kids are calling it these days. I'm far from vanilla myself so I understand your plight. You'll find the right person that meets the first two, but you'll have the latter option proven wrong...so chin up soldier," he gave Renee a smile. Yes, he was an odd duckling, but Simon believed that good things would happen to others. Renee was going to find the right person he just knew it.

"So tell me random things that have happened to you since we last talked. Good stuff. I know you have things to gloat," a smile was on his face while speaking.

"Well I am sure your wife thinks differently about how good things are." She was sure that both she and he where happily in love and even though he was playing it down she had a feeling that he was happy and more then just something to trade for shoes.

"Good stuff?" She raised an eye brow "That is few and far between for me." She sat back in her chair and crossed her legs as she thought for a moment "Well other then Nexus doing good not much really" She looked around at what had become her passion as of late.

After a moment she did think of somethings "I got my first tattoo and found out that I want more." She smirked at the memory of how nervous she had been to get it. "And I made a new friend. Well I think you could call them friends but I can't be fully sure to be honest with you."

"I'm kinda the same way. The wedding is the good thing to report. Business is on the verge of working. It's like...I go to the light at the end of the tunnel only to see it go back another hundred yards," Simon sighed the annoyance showing in his voice.

"I've got siblings that really don't want to talk at me even when I'm trying to help them survive 'The Rock," that was the start of the his complaints. The man could have gotten more, but then the talk of tattoos came about. "Of what and where?" the question was casual. From there he began to casually unbutton his jacket and vest. Hanging them over a chair with care he was undoing his shirt right there.

His gaze went to her as if nothing was wrong. Whistling while undoing buttons Simon's shirt was off. The man took care of himself to say the least. Although he wasn't showing off. Turning so she could see his back there was a giant cross, celtic in design, that was CLEARLY a several our job for a few sessions that covered most of his shoulder blades and consumed most of his spine. "I know something about ink. Haven't found a reason to get another, but I'm open to it," there was a smile on his face.

Grabbing his shirt he began to whistle again dressing himself, "What are you thinking of getting next?"

Simon whistled to gain Renee's attention, "Earth to Renee this is Space Station Sexiness, do you read me over?" He couldn't think of a goofier name quick enough. His hands finished buttoning and doing what was necessary with his clothes. Turning back toward Renee he watched her just giving his friend the utmost attention again. "What do you recommend we do around the city tonight? I came out looking for you. So, my docket is pretty open."

Honestly Simon didn't plan much after "Find my friend." So, he wasn't sure what they could have done. He was open to causing trouble or whatever. The world was his oyster in many cases and the night was still young.

Renee was pulled from her thoughts for a moment by Simon. She was unsure what had been going on till still her name was called. Her eyes fluttered as she took in where she was, who had said her name, and what was going on. She smiled at him as sweetly as she could manage.

“I’m sorry about that I seem to of sudo blacked out for a moment.” She knew it was her other half trying to claw its way to the surface again. She wasn’t about to let her ruin things again with anyone. Not friends, not family, and not with her business with all these humans around.

She thought for a moment about what they could do. “Well we could to the park, go somewhere and play some music or, if you are up to it, we could go hunting.” True she had done so already this evening but she needed a distraction and all of those seemed like a good enough idea that it could work. “Unless you know something else we can do.”

A quizzical look was given to Renee. He was clueless as to why she suddenly spaced out. "Someone finally get your attention in magical ways?" Simon presumed Renee met someone or had a good time on a date. Something that would have taken the attention away of well anyone.

"We can head to park. I do love music and hunting. We met when I was doing the song thing so a woman after my own heart," with a smile on his face he rose up offering an arm. "Let's get out of this club and go from there?" he said getting behind the suggestions.

"Lead the way out lovely and we'll go from there," there was a grin on his face. At the time Simon wondered how one of his instruments could get into his hands. Singing could have been the only thing done tonight.
