Avery couldn't take the man's money. She was the type of girl that liked to earn her money not just take it from someone. The girl shook her head, eyes on the ground once more. "I..I can't take your money. Thank..Thank you, though Sir." She didn't see why these people were being so nice to her though. It was a nice change though. A weak smile formed on her thin lips. She really just enjoyed liking the fact that she was inside for a bit.

She held her right side though and closed her eyes. There was that darn pain in her side again. She would wait a bit longer before going to a doctor though since she didn't know one or where there was one in town. The girl didn't really want to bother the nice people anymore than she already had.

He hadn't seen her put the money in the jar, mostly because Enver was busy keeping an eye on Pratt and the new person he hadn't ever seen before. Even Keara's spin had gone unnoticed, until he heard the thing spinning, which caused him to turn and look and wait for the results. He wasn't sure which one he wanted it to land on. Money? Try again? Kiss? His lips quirked up as a grin appeared on his face.

When the results came, he laughed and looked at the various toy weapons he had set out earlier in the night. He chuckled, nodded his head and then spoke. "Afraid so. It's just for fun." He winked at her, then turned to the woman, who he was pretty sure was human. There was a different smell to her and after a few seconds, Enver realized what it was. Blood. It was hard for him to recall the smell of fresh blood, being the guy mostly drank from blood bags these nights, but he was pretty damn sure of it. "Hey, you alright?" He asked her as she grabbed her side.

She really didn't know how she felt about all this as she hated the idea of hurting him on purposes and one or two of the items on the table still looked like they might sting a little if wielded in the right hands. She looked the selection over more carefully, touching each and every toy weapon in turn. As she pondered the selection she recalled the scene she had not long ago witnessed between Enver and the unknown female. The image giving her the courage to select the paintball gun which when fired at close range would definitely be felt. If Enver was going to have his fun at the event there was no reason why she couldn't have a little of her own.

She picked up the gun and passed it from hand to hand getting a feel for the weight of it, she'd never shot one of these before but she didn't imagine it was much different to the real thing; point, aim, pull the trigger. Then while Enver was distracted by the fragile creature, she moved away to a safe distance took aim at his butt and fired a single shot into his right cheek. The corner of her lip curled ever so slightly as the paint splattered across his jeans and without waiting to see how he would react, she moved back to the table and places the gun back where she'd gotten from.

"Get one of those I should," she said with a nod, more to herself than to any of those gathered around her.

He smiled and nodded his head at the human as she took the card and seemed to almost retreat from him. He'd seen plenty of women like her in Solace, running from someone or something, needing to get away for their own sanity or health. Women who'd lost it all and ended up on the streets in need of a little help to get back on their feet and create a new life for themselves. Well, that was why he'd set up Solace - to help those in need in any way he could.

Enver seemed.... pre-occupied with Keara, and Robert couldn't help but smile as he watched the way the man looked at her. Keara seemed nice, and from what he'd heard and witnessed, she didn't seem one to go around killing folks because an internet web page told her to. So she was already streets ahead of Enver's now ex-wife. How the man had ever fallen for the Crow harlot was beyond him, especially with Enver's own leanings. However, it had never been any of his business and he'd never let his thoughts and feelings be known to the man. It just, wasn't something you did. You know? Well, if this Keara was good for the man, he'd do what he could to help them along. Perhaps he could arrange for them to meet.... set them up, like a parent trap type of idea. Which made his grin grow so much more.

He was brought from his thoughts at the mention of Solace and blinked, rewinding the conversation to re-hear what was said and then nodded.

"Yeh, things are good on the whole. Some new members wouldn't go amiss though, we're a bit thin on the ground with so many projects. Lizzie and I are running ourselves ragged, as are the rest of the staff and members."

His face turned sour however when Ivy's name was mentioned and he shook his head.

"Oh my Lux, don't talk to me about that one. Chick is frickin INSANE! I swear. Everything was fine, then out of nowhere, she went and flipped her ****. Suddenly and with no warning she wants out of the family and is attacking me, Lizzie, Serry, all of my friends and family. I honestly don't know what's happened - but I've heard all manner of lies from a few people, that she's been spreading around about me."

He sighed and shook his head, a nerve obviously having been touched that had upset him. He was looking at the floor and all manner of thoughts were running through his mind. He could hear that they'd moved on to Keara's spin and was thankful for it as it gave him time to compose himself again. He managed to lift his head to see Enver's *** being covered with paint, and couldn't help but grin widely at that. He even chuckled as Keara said she should get herself a gun - obviously having enjoyed tapping Enver's ***.

He stood up from the table he'd been sitting on and slipped his ten into the jar just as Keara had and then looked to what had to have been a pained Enver.

"My turn then?"

He was in the middle of a conversation when someone, no rather something, slapped his ***. Hard. "What the hell?" He craned his neck around to try and see what he'd missed, only to see Keara putting a paintball gun back at his table of toys before she made some smart retort about the gun. He couldn't remember what color he had put in the canister, but now he was wondering. A hand went at where she shot him, ran across the surface of the jeans lightly, then was seen again as he raised his hand to see the paint color. Red. Great.

"Definitely." Enver nodded, a wicked look in his eyes, as their reasoning was probably different. "Will help improve your aim. If you want to train on guns." He covered up his diluted thoughts with a remark that seemed innocent in nature, before his attention shifted to Pratt. Enver nodded, begrudgingly as he eyed the wheel on last time. "Yeah." If it landed on kiss, he'd beat the ever loving tar out of Pratt when this gig was over and done with.

I'll have amara pm you your roll. :)

Robert stepped wiggled around the table and stepped up to the wheel. First he checked the sheet to see what number was needed and nodded. His hand lifted to the wheel and didn't even look at it. Instead, he looked Enver in the eyes and then pulled down hard and listened to it clicking. A large grin crept over his face and he winked at the man as he spoke.

Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click.

"Come on number 10! Pucker up and we'll do it again!"

Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click.

He laughed to himself, totally bemused at the look on Enver's face as the wheel spun, getting slower and slower with every click of the pointer as it made it's way to deciding the man's face. Robert wasn't attracted to Enver in the slightest, too much junk between his legs and not enough on the chest for his tastes. However, this would be FAR too funny not to have happen as it would be fuel for YEARS to come.

Click. Click. Click. Click.

He could see it now, sitting around, laughing and joking with the humans once peace came between the races and integration became a reality after Crow was overthrown and the vampire behind it revealed. Then it would come up, a joke and a fond memory between two good friends. 'Do you remember when you snogged me?' Oh and wouldn't they laugh and joke like a couple of good old boys. Yes, this would be one for the memories all right.

Silence. His fate was sealed and he watched Enver's face for the reaction, to see what number it had landed on.

She was about to tell him that her aim didn't need improving and that her fighting skills were well honed and he knew it, when Pratt span the wheel. She didn't want to be seen monopolising Enver's attention, so she moved off to the side and began to work on yet another email to him. Since she used technokinesis, it wasn't at all obvious what she was up too and she got to observe events without seeming overly interested in the outcome.

Keara was starting to feel a little exposed where she was. She hated being in the middle of the room with nothing to anchor her and she wasn't about to walk over and cling to Enver for protection, as that really wasn't her style. Instead, she reached out for the table to steady herself and glanced around the room. The anxiety she felt was no starting to show on her features and while she'd made the effort to remain composed thus far, she wasn't sure how much longer she'd be able to stick around.

Avery really didn't want to bother Enver with her problems so she forced herself to smile and nodded. "Yes.. Yes, Sir. I'm fine." Truth was, she wasn't really sure if she was or not. The pain was getting worse and worse as the time went by. Once more the girl winced and held her side once more. She looked down and kept quit as the people spun the will. She flinched and screamed as the gun went off though and frowned heavily. The girl hated guns or anything violent. Maybe it was best if she just left. She was already making a scene and didn't like having this many eyes on her. The girl began to tremble a bit and sat on the floor, still holding her side. If she could just sit and rest for a bit in the nice warm building then maybe she would be okay.

Pratt's spin was up and while he wanted to make sure Keara would stay, which meant he would have to keep his attention on her. Only, he couldn't, because he was so fixated on that damn wheel. So far, it hadn't really done anything he wanted it to do. So when it landed on the possibility Enver didn't want it to, he couldn't be all that surprised.

Enver resisted a groan, then glared over at Pratt once he was sure the wheel was sticking at the number ten. Right. He nodded his head, then gave Pratt a cheeky grin. "Alright mate, come here." Enver chuckled, because it was all he could do really. It wasn't like he was going to make a scene. At least not here, not when he promised to do this. It was bad for business all around. He didn't wait for Pratt to come to him. If he was going to kiss him, it was on Enver's terms. He would initiate and end it before things got too out of control as they normally did with Pratt in the midst of things.

"Pucker up, you sexy man." Enver grabbed the guy by his leather jacket and tried to pull him to him. However, as soon as Enver grabbed the guy, something else had happened. The arm that reached out for Pratt's coat, Enver felt a stinging in his arm. He looked down at his arm to see his upper arm sliced open, and the back of some guy running off. "Seems someone has an objection." Enver laughed as his other hand went to the cut arm, to try and stop the bleeding. "Damnit and here I thought I was going to get my fairytale evening for the night." Enver gave one last witty retort before he reached in to his pants pocket and pulled out a handkerchief and pressed it on the wound as he concentrated on trying to minimize the effect.

The stare at the wheel once the clicking had stopped, coupled with the glare he then got, told Robert all he needed to know. It had landed on the number 10, which was kiss. Ok, so now it was a reality and the man was coming closer telling him to pucker up. Robert found that his bluff had been called and something inside of him wibbled slightly, regretting this bit of fun. He'd never truly thought it would land on 10, I mean, it was a one in 20 chance and yet - here he was. He'd just wanted to torture the man a little, tease him, maybe have a bit of a story. He'd not ACTUALLY wanted to kiss the man. This was all getting out of hand a little too quickly.

He was grabbed by his jacket and pulled in towards the stronger man, and his eyes shut in response as he stumbled forwards. It was a reaction he was used to performing, usually because he was about to be hit - not, because he was about to be kissed. He was standing there, wincing and waiting for it to happen when..... nothing happened. In fact, he was let go and then Enver spoke, saying someone was objecting. So slowly he opened his eyes to look, and saw Enver, bleeding. What in the hell?!

Robert put his own hand in his pocket and pulled out a brand new hankie he'd pickpocketed from someone in the street. Pulling it from the pack he looked at the wound and the way it was bleeding and shook his head.

"C'mon mate. You're going to have to take your top off so I can get to the wound properly. Last thing you want is to crust over and heal with the frayed edges of your shirt inside your damn body. I should know - It happened."

He waited for Enver to strip off and then, leaving the hankie Enver had already used in place, he opened out his own one and tied it tightly around the man's arm, cutting off the circulation and therefore the bleeding too.

"There, that should sort it out. Now..... ummm.... where were we?"

His voice was meek and timid, all bravado lost. However, he wasn't going to be the one who backed out of it. Not now. That's not how the story would go!
